This is really depressing. I went to bed late last night and just before I did, I'd read a news article which said his condition had become worse. I hoped he'd make a speedy recovery but alas, this happens. We've lost a great talent.

I find it distressing that this year we've lost both Beverly Sills and Luciano Pavarotti. They were 2 people who were extraordinarily responsible for keeping opera alive and well, bringing it to the general masses. It's just so sad.

:cry

I remember hearing last year that he had pancreatic cancer. In a way, I said my goodbye to this guy back then. Just about nobody recovers from pancreatic cancer. I just hope his caretakers helped him go peacefully.

I read his condition was serious yesterday and was thinking this was probably it. Too bad - he was such an incredible opera singer. I had the pleasure of seeing him twice at the Met and it was unforgettable. RIP Maestro...

Very sad. Nessun Dorma is such an awesome song, when sung by him.

Wow, that's sad!!! :( 悲しいです! I used to be a music major... was a vocalist, though my major was in instrumental performance... and that's just...

Now I'm all depressed... more than I already was tonight :/

Not that I have any reason to be depressed... I just am... :(
