Well, I tried posting from my phone the other day, but apparently it didn't work.

Everyone is alright here, thank goodness, and all furries are accounted for. The house suffered some damage, but that's what insurance is for, right?

Insurance Man: I see. Do either of you smoke?

Neighbor: No.

Insurance Man: Right. *scribbles on pad* And you say that the alleged fire began in an unknown location and descended into the valley?

Me: What do you mean alleged fire? Our houses are melted.

Neighbor: See the charred remains of a wall? That blackened hill over there? It wasn't an allegation that caused all that.

Insurance Man: It's a technical term. I'm sure there was a fire, I'm just trying to determine whether you're covered or not. If it originated here, you aren't.

Neighbor: Well, it was on the news.

Insurance Man: Ah, I see. *scribbles some more*

Neighbor: ... Are you even from Hawaii?

Insurance Man: No, I live in Denver, actually.

Me: But... this is a Hawaii based company.

Insurance Man: *blank look* ... So when did you say this happened?

We're both being reimbursed for the damages, thank goodness, but I'm not sure how you work for an island-inclusive insurance agency and live in Colorado. Oh life, you silly thing, you.
