The Hobbit (pre-production rumor mill!)

Well, it looks like Peter Jackson might have made up with New Line and so the latest Hobbit rumor is that Sam Raimi will direct and Jackson will produce.

If so: :dance :crack

If not: :cry :mad

If Jackson isn't involved, I hear Ian Mckellan won't play Gandalf. If that happens the movie will suck.

There's far too much cash to be made. Jackson and New Line will put their differences aside long enough to get this movie on to the big screen with McKellan as Gandalf. Does this mean Raimi is done with Spider Man?

Not sure, but I would guess yes. As long as the look of the movie is about the same than I wouldn't be too worried. If they keep Mckellan and Weta the movie will be good.
