PS3 Game Decision.

I'm getting a Playstation 3 very soon. And one of the games I'll be getting is Resistance: Fall of Man. The other game will be either Ridge Racer 7 or Motorstorm, but I don't know which one to choose.

Could anybody reccommend one or the other? It's part of a PS3 bundle and it's an either/or deal. So - Ridge Racer 7 or Motorstorm - bear in mind I'm not a racing fan in the slightest, but I did really enjoy Gran Turismo.

I've heard that Motorstorm is pretty good.

Why not get a 360 instead? If you liked Gran Turismo, Forza 2 is amazing.

My brother is playing Forza 2 right now, and wow. It's far too technical for me, but if your a racing gane fan/geek/whathaveyou then it's definitely a game to go with. Personally, I would give the PS3 a year or two to get a strong game line going before ever considering the purchase of one.

I heard Ridge Racer 7 was awful.

Hey, if he got the money (it is expensive as hell), credit to him. It is one amazing hardware. Not only a console, but a super computer and home entertainment center. I agree the games selection is kinda lacklustre still, but it is moving along. Personally, I would wait for the PS3 to drop in price though and get a 360 or Wee in the meantime.

It could be the same price as a 360 and I still wouldn't recommend one over a 360. There just aren't many games for the PS3 right now. The 360's lineup for this year is awe inspiring. If a quarter of the games coming out live up to their potential 2007 is going to be one of the best years in gaming ever.

I never see him use the PS3... and it's ugly.

Isn't there going to be a price drop on the 360 soon? Maybe Sony will respond likewise.

The 360 is down 50-60 US dollars since I bought one two months ago.

One of the reasons I've gone for the PS3 is because my dad put £100 towards it instead of buying a separate BlueRay player for our new 46" full-HD TV.

I ended up getting Motorstorm, and it's hella'fun!

And as for the price - I ended up getting £150 worth of free stuff in the bundle.

How much did the PS3 cost? I swear, I saw an ad for one in Argos that was $500 without any games. What the deuce?!

I got mine from HMV - £425 for the console and a single wireless controller, but in the bundle you got an extra free controller, 2 free games, Black Hawk Down on BluRay and Casino Royale on BluRay. Had to get my own HDMI cable, since that didn't come with it.

Bouth a PS3 two weeks ago at Wal~mart for 500 american dollars. I got Motor storm free with it, Plus 10 free Blu-ray discs of my choice under 30 bucks. Plus I used my 10% discount cause I work at wal~mart so I actually payed like 475 or something. It was a Wal~mart special secret chriostmas Item thing that due after thanksgiving.

Yeah, they released a cut down version that cannot play PS2 games. You should be able to get one for about $400 (without the movies) nowadays. If you don't have a large PS2 games collection, it's actually a pretty good deal considering you get both a next generation console and a blue ray player. The game selection is starting to improve as well.
