View Full Version : It's 96 degrees outside and I'm freezing.

It's about 58 degrees in the control room and after being in here for about 3 hours I'm getting seriously chilled. I walked outside for a few minutes and it was heavenly! I wish I could stay out there longer but I can't stay away from the board for very long. I need to remember to keep a couple of sweaters in my car. Brrrrrrrr...

Ha, even in Missouri it could get up to around 101 in the summer. You would die here!

The heat's not too bad here, it's dry. Of course it's not that great for your skin, but I'd take dry heat over high heat and high humidity. Less than an hour left of my shift. YAY! I'll be able to stop shivering.

Hot for me is 98* and humid. Anything above that I deem infernal. ;)

And I know what you mean, Mu.

When I worked in the hospital they kept my unit frickin' freezing cold and we all wore lab coats plus sweaters and I kid you not, I kept a pair of those little cheapy microknit gloves in my locker so that I could type at night. :p

It's 66F here right now, and that is comfortably warm for me :)

70 is comfortable, but we get all the way up to 105 some summer days here. Right now we've been hovering between 70 and 75 for the last week.

We don't get much higher than 86F, and that is hot for me. Once it gets below 50F, that's getting cold.

That's actually pretty cold to me.. I mean I've been in below 0 plenty of times, but around 60ish is when I start getting cold. I'm cold blooded!

It's 80F right now. Weather.com says high of 88. 69% humidity.

Not too bad a day for Jersey.

Apparently campus hasn't fixed the problem yet. It's over a hundred today and people are freezing in the building I work at on the weekends.
