Tetris, with the states of USA.

I did it on Easy in 5:25.5. Apparently that isn't good. But Arizona kept hitting one of the other states and messing me up!!! :shakefist

I have no idea where any of the states are supposed to go, so I'm not even going to try.

Just go by the shapes. I am now on 3:14:6. And you call yourselves Americans! Peh! Hand your territory back to its rightful masters!

5:20. But, that's because I'd try putting things in the right place and they'd spin off... what? That shouldn't happen. States weren't meant to spin.

News channels do enough of that :x

It took me 10 minutes on medium earlier. Suffice it to say I don't think it would take that much longer on Hard since I am going by the shapes and not the names. I'm pretty amazing, you see.

I got like 5 something on hard earlier. You have to flip the states around which sucks when you get to the smaller ones. I hate tetris

The hardest thing about it is lining them up in the precise slot they need to go. It's really easy to be just one unit off to the left or right. And I was confused for a while about whether you could drop states through parts of other states - Minnesota protrudes over part of Wisconsin, and I kept trying to loop Wisconsin around, and it kept rejecting me.

Interesting, but a bit too finicky.

I'm just shy of getting it under three minutes on medium.

I am not sure if I should love or hate this game. The colision detection is brutal. Minnesota sucks. It keeps blocking Wisconsin.

I am getting pretty good at this, to the point of knowing instantly which way Delaware and Rhode Island is facing.

3.19 on medium
3.28 on hard

Try and beat that! :p

Edit: New record on hard. 2 minutes and 52 seconds.

Forget this game, I hate the collision detection.

I have to give some credit to this game though. You do get a lot better at lining up the pieces as you practice. Also, it has to be said a tetris game with geography is a brilliant idea. This sort of thing should be mandatory at school. I wish there were similar games for Europe, Asia and Africa.

The secret for getting good times is just practice, and use the space bar to drop the pieces all the time, and adjust in midair if needed. That Minnesota / Wisconsin thing is just an optical illusion. Parts of the state won't block pieces coming down. It is all about aligning it correcly. Just drop them down straight, but with the correct amount left / right, and it will fit regardless. The colision detection is not as bad as it looks at first. It eventually becomes like a standard tetris game where it is all about speed, and you move and rotate pieces like crazy.

My best time was 2 minutes 45 seconds. I THINK 2.30 is possible, but I will probably not push for that.

Edit: HOLY CRAP 2.22!

I just dropped them perfectly with no error. Although, could have been faster still. I am pretty sure 2 minutes blank is near impossible though. I found turning off the sound really helps. It is too distractive.
