We lived! And ate bugs! We also had many conversations like this -

Lil Bro: ... So, this doesn't look like the map. Is it supposed to curve?
Liz: Erm, yes. It's a mountain, right? They curve.
Lil Bro: Are you sure the path was supposed to just... ease away?
Liz: ...
Lil Bro: Are we lost?
Liz: No, no, look - we have a compass! That way is North!
Lil Bro: ... WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?

We were rescued eventually, by a come-ashore surfer (much swooning ensued) and directed to a safe camping spot. Ooh and there were a bunch of Albatross nesting, which was amazing to see!

All in all a nice little getaway. :)
