So who is following this year's E3? The format of the show is different, moving from public expo to private exhibition for the gaming press. Although, its still an important platform for the console and game producing companies to make big announcement and demonstrate new technology. The most expensive trailers are also released for E3, and there is live video coverage on most of the major game sites.

What games are you excited about? :)

Halo 3 and Mass Effect (although I don't know if they're showing a trailer of the latter).

Assassin's Creed (if they're doing that one)

In addition to the games already listed, I'm also looking forward to "Army of Two."

They are doing a LOT of coverage on those games mentioned..

Assassin's Creed looks great. They had a on stage demonstration, and interviews showing a wide variety of ingame footage.

I have been watching the live video streaming on gamespot a lot today. The coverage is really good, and you can can find all sorts of interviews and trailers:

There has been major presentations for Microsoft, Windows and Sony. I was really impressed by the Nintendo one. They have a great vision on how to make games more inovative and interactive in different ways.

On the note on Nintendo and Wii, WWE smackdown looks like an absolute riot in multiplayer mode. It just takes the posibilities of the motion sensor controller to a whole different level. Also I am surprised to say the new mario game looks like lots of fun and innovative, the first real progression since Mario 64. It brings new meaning to the concept of 3D platform game.

Everyone is raving about Fracture, and I can see why. The deformation of terrain and environment, and the whole physics just blew me away. Finally something innovative and different we have not seen before. I strongly urge you to check out the gamespot interview with the game designer demoing the engine for the first time.

Starcraft 2 looks like it will be the best RTS ever made.

I am particulary looking forward to see Alan Wake, Age of Conan and Crysis. So much to see :)

Edit: Ok, I just saw some ingame footage of Mercenaries 2, and wow, that looks like an utter blast in the literary sense of the word. Every single object can be destroyed, or as their game designers say "if it can't be destroyed, stolen or blown up, what is the point of including it in the game?!". We heard talk about destructible environments for years. Its only now we fully start to see the potential of this kind of technology.

I'm loving the way Mario Galaxy is going. It's so much more like Mario 64 gameplay wise, only with a more 3D aspect added. Looks like it could be very hard and very fun.

I love that StarCraft trailer. Gives me chills every time.

Beautiful Katamari trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21515.html). If this doesn't come out on the Wii, then I really am going to have to get an XBox 360.

I'm looking forward to UT3, it looks like it will be a lot of fun. Bioshock has been getting rave previews, too.

I want to know what the appeal of "Beautiful Katamari" is? It looks like it could be fun, for about five minutes. You roll around picking up stuff until your garbage ball is as big as the planet. It's like a dung beetle roll without the beetle. I have absolutely no desire to play this game, and I cannot fathom why anyone else would. I would much rather stick a Wii controller in my eye.

Regardless, I agree with Morgan. UT3 is something I have been following very closely since it was announced, and I am quite frothy about it all, in a good way. The graphics look spectacular, and the promise of near twenty vehicles, combined with the already existing golden fighting systems and weapons, looks to promise something that is uber. I've been wanting a good Multiplayer game for the 360 for awhile now. Halo 3 is not appealing to me so much after I played the Beta and Shadowrun and Gears of War don't give me the multiplayer experience I love, which is that high speed, kill or be killed, life expectancy of one second thrill of the Unreal Tournament games.

Yeah, and what's the deal with UT3? You just shoot guns. Every game does that. How is that fun?
