I thought it would be fun if we all butted heads in a daily trivia tournament, and we can have some great fake prizes! Sundays like today will have a mixed bag of questions, but Mondays through Saturdays will have different themes.

The EU stuff ate my lunch! There's a difference, too, between in-Star Wars trivia (characters, story, etc.) and production trivia about the movies. I'm a little more knowledge about the in-Universe trivia.

Hm, I guess I have some experience with the EU, but sometimes it's hard for me to distinguish what is EU and what is canon. For example, is a novelization of a Star Wars movie script all canon even if some of the info and scenes were cut from the movie itself? And the information that George Lucas created or approved for the movies.

For example, I'm sure for many of the speaking characters in the original trilogy, George Lucas gave them names. Most of their names were not spoken in the movie though. Does knowing their names and character background qualify as canonical trivia?

Another example... isn't knowing that - this isn't in the quiz - Chewie owes Han a life debt canon? I don't think anyone explicitly said Admiral Ackbar was from Mon Calamari, but it should be official OT canon that he is.

It's always hard for me, though, to figure out what Lucas created and what other authors made up exclusively for the EU.
