I rarely get to see much of Good Morning America because I'm always heading off to work around 7:30, but I was still familiar with Joel Siegel, their entertainment editor, and I always enjoyed his enthusiasm and good nature when he gave his reviews. Unfortunately, he has passed away at the young age of 63 from colon cancer. :(

I didn't even know he was sick. Admittedly I don't watch GMA much, if at all anymore - but I saw his Oscar special a few months back and didn't think he looked THAT bad.
He almost replaced Gene on Siskel and Ebert back in '99/00 when Roger was looking for a replacement.

:( He really seemed to love his job, and I liked his personality in front of the cameras. Really brightened up my day sometimes. Sad to see him go.
