Surf's Up

Rhys and my roommate and I went and saw this today; it's an animated film done in documentary style about surfing penguins.

If you thought they couldn't make another good movie starring penguins, you were wrong! It was really cute and surprisingly of the laugh-out-loud funny. :)

Also, awesome music and James Wood! :D

I'd recommend it for an enjoyable afternoon. :thumbup

That does actually look really good. I'm still of the opinion that cgi animation flicks are being waaaay overdone, but the models actually look like some thought was put into them.

Not to mention, I heard some Toots and the Maytals in the trailer :cool

It was such a wicked movie. Hilarious, and actually really accurately portrayed surfing... in a weird way. :D

I want to see this movie. I didn't go see Happy Feet because that just looked awful. And I was prepared to hate Surfs Up as well, because it looked like "another penguin movie cash-in" but the trailers have won me over.

It looks so funny. :D

Oh, I'm so excited about seeing it, though I haven't gone yet... no time
But, I enjoyed Happy Feet... it was very political though - it was definitely a movie to make a statement
