Very nice post Tidus, in New Beginning, Two Paths, I honestly don't know what to say, it was simple, to the point yet captured the essence of what I'm trying to do with Dante and co.

I honestly can say I would have posted something very similar if I had done it.

Wahoo! I am almighty lol :P

Well, thank you :) I wasn't sure what to do with his action-wise, so I did very little. And it appears to have worked :D

Yeah, the boss at that moment is Radda so it'd be wise to stay still, I was afraid you were going to go nuts and try to give Radda orders or something, but it looks like I have nothing to worry about in Swfans. Hooray.

Heh, I took a wild guess and came to the conclusion that a 17-year-old probably wouldn't be running the show :p

Of course, it's obvious but due to past experiences in old boards, I've become traumatized. LIke those tampon commercials say:

"I feel free."

Hehe, looks like Lucius didn't want to stay behind either.

Nice posts Alexander although shorter than I like, as long as they're good and to the point; length doesn't matter I suppose.

Nice post to myself as Marcus, I Kicked Dante's butt!

I don't think you can give kudos to yourself... there must be some kind of rule against that... I mean... come on...

I've read all the post on the second page... LOL! I only skimmed through the first. I was trying to figure out who was who at that point. :p

Thanks!

You have to take some of the credit though Jules. I did bug you incessantly with questions about the character which definitely helped flesh her out a bit. So thank you for helping me. ^_~

Awesome Lana post! I really enjoyed it and you have much better understanding of the character after reading it which is the way it should be. Thank you!

I like to give away bits and pieces as posts go by, nit my style to give it all in one post, same thing is used for movies.

Alexia Marzullo
Jun 11th, 2007, 12:34:19 PM
I like that style... if you give away everything in one post... then what's the point? Though, giving away a lot for a back story is very helpful to those who are in the dark and/or confused...

Well I suppose I found it very helpful since she's supposed to be Selene's mother and I knew almost nothing about her or the dad. It was nice to have it all laid out for me. And just because she gave an overview of the background doesn't mean she can't go back and explore it more throughly or take from what happened after. Once you have the basics down you can start getting more specific, flashes of specific outings or parties that might have had an affect, clothes or objects that remind her of their time together etc. It's then that it starts getting really interesting.

For now we know roughly where she's coming from which is helpful when multiple characters are being introduced and you're not sure what's what. There's still loads of room for development and explanations.

That's kewl. I set it up in my first post in NP that Matthias family was at the resort. I'm pretty sure I will be able to add to it... don't quote me on it though. :D

K, made some tiny adjustments to the post regarding the pods. I'm just annoyed that the borders to the gif I made isn't being transparent for some reason.

When I started, I just went through a bunch of tutorials for those cheezy special effects and just started playing around. Just google for them. It actually really helps you get an idea for how the filters work and you can combine them with brushing to get some really cool effects.

What you should work on depends on what you're using photoshop for, but for starting out, I highly suggest mastering these steps:

1. Layers and blending options
2. Masking
3. Channels (I admit that I don't know much about working with channels, I prefer layers)

Learning those basic three will help make things a lot easier.

Just threw those together. Wait until you see Hartus in action ;).

This is me with my deflector shield up in Coruscant. Reverse-engineered a destroyer droid to get it. But only stops energy blasts. Organic matter and metal can pass through.

Online tutorials were the way I started out with photoshop. There's a really nifty planet tutorial out there which is fun to do.
