Where.. am I?
“There was an accident at the port. They are saying it might have been terrorist activity.”
For some reason, the word ‘terrorist’ bugged her way more than it should have. Or maybe it was just normal. She couldn’t quite recall. The room she was in was ungodly bright and she was quite certain she even had her eye lids closed. Her limbs ached horribly but she managed to stretch them somewhat. Her knuckles grazed the underside of the soft blanket that had been draped over her and her back nestled deeper into the plush mattress someone had provided.
Somebody, somebody.
She couldn’t remember. In fact, she couldn’t remember a large slew of things. How had she come to be here, wherever here was? Stars, how had she come to be, exactly? Who were the people in the room with her and why was she here?
“An attack? That’s such a shame. Did the girl not have anyone with her?”
I’m not sure.
“She was alone, supposedly, before the attack occurred. Strange for someone like her to be traveling alone, don’t you think?”
I don’t know..
“It is strange. It is just as well that she came into our keeping though, what with that horrible head injury. I hope she recovers soon.”
It was her first impulse to shift her hand up as swiftly as possible to inspect said head injury, but the sudden movement only made her arm lock up. A miffed sigh escaped her lips and she worked at moving her hand along slowly. When she finally reached the area of her head that was undoubtedly hurt, her fingers ran into a bandage that had been placed over the wound. Was it really so awful? Had it just been an accident, an attack meant to harm everyone, or had she been targeted. If so, by who? And why would they attack someone like her? Who exactly was she?
She was becoming impossibly frustrated with herself. For several moments, she just focused. Surely her mind had some bit of information stored away within it that might spark something, anything. Her hand fell away from her face, landing on the fluffed pillow that had been placed under her head.
“That huge trunk she had with her had an identification chip in it by the way. It was odd though. It only had a first name and image. Deidera. And she was done up all fancy too. Had all that white powder on her skin like when she first arrived. Lord knows, her skin is pale enough. It must be some sort of fashion bit from wherever she came from.”
Deidera. That’s right. That sounds right at least.
Up until now, she’d been trying to keep her eyes closed tight against the blinding light pouring in from all directions. It wasn’t doing much good. She decided to open them and when she did, she had to fight to keep them thus. It was not so bright after a while and she even tipped her head toward the source of light; which turned out to be several windows lining the broadside of the white room she was in. Varying forms of transport passed by on the other side of the glass and she was content just to watch for a time.
The two women who had been conversing earlier stood just to the left of the windows, facing in the same direction she was looking. They were both middle-aged, plainly garbed, and good natured from what she could tell. They hadn’t seemed to notice that she was awake and, for the most part, alert.
She cleared her throat, which was unpleasantly dry, and startled them slightly. They turned toward her and put on welcoming smiles, eager to learn of her no doubt. They wouldn’t be able to tell her anything, nor she them. The whole thing was quite bothersome, but there was really nothing she could do as of yet.

It turned out Deidera had been brought to a hospital not too far from where the attack had occurred. She was in the Fobosi District of the planet Coruscant and the two women who had been taking care of her worked there during the day. Kaita Sen and Vora Telim; both humans. They were very pleasant tempered, kind hearted, and good at their jobs for she was up and about in no time. The administrator of the med center allowed her to remain in the recovery ward on account of her amnesia, lack of money and relations. She knew very well that she wouldn’t be able to linger here forever, though.
“I’d like to think that you’re from somewhere near by, but the fact that you were coming out of Westport probably means that you just arrived.” Vora had said aloud one day. It was one of those frequent visits she paid. Deidera didn’t mind, though. It was nice to have someone to talk to. She hadn’t braved the halls yet. The room she had been given was getting stuffy though.
“I’d say you’re from some place fancy, judging by those clothes you brought in that trunk. Some credit chips too. Do you think you’ll set out soon to find some answers?”
“Perhaps. I wouldn’t know where to start.” Deidera replied. She had been napping before Vora had entered. Her bright red hair was spread across the clean pillow case, the covers were bunched at the end of the bed, and the outfit she had selected for the day was laid out on the chair next to the bed.
“Well, you might start around the Westport area. Maybe something there will jog your memory. I’d watch out for the authorities they have down there though. Pushy people. Best to steer clear of anyone who looks important.” Ms. Telim warned and then, flashing her an almost motherly smile, she swept out of the room.
Westport.
----------------------
She clashed horribly with the rest of the world but she couldn’t really bring herself to mind all that much. She was used to it, she supposed, but that couldn’t really be proved. Perhaps some people would think she, too, was someone important and steer clear. The last thing she wanted was a big confrontation in the middle of the street. That was, if her courage held up for her to make it that far.
She had just about made it to the front of the med center when a familiar voice called out, “Going somewhere, missy?”
It was Kaita. Deidera smiled, slipping into a brave demeanor with effort. “Thought I might go for a walk. It’s a nice day and this place becomes quite confining after a while.”
“That’s the truth! You be careful, now.”
Maybe she was rushing head first into it all, carelessly seeking what might never be recovered. Perhaps some things just weren’t for remembering, though. She thought deeply, breathed deeper, and set out into the streets of Coruscant.

"That boy is nothing but trouble!"
The yell roared through the store. From the outside, the place looked much like a jumbled stack of mess, but it was of worth. All the jumbled parts, equipment and wiring manage to be organized in a heap of someone's mind. The owner held a keen sense of his junk, and very little could be lost in the troubling stacks dangling about the dusty room. Really, the only bothersome trait for the owner remained his sole employee.
...Nothing but trouble.
A mutter eased through like a breeze, blowing from the backroom. The voice, though augmented with a twist here and there still was undertone with a robotic nature all the same. Despite the old owner's savvy there was little that could be done about droid's realism. Organisms sustain an emotional nature that drew, and merit an attachment that no enhanced durasteel jumble could match.
Even behind the counter, where all the shop's treats hung on the wall there will little place for positioning for the owner to pout. All the ship equipment, droid parts, holopads and other devices splash across the floor to form a wave of wiring that pressed the owner somewhere in the middle of it all. Truly, the old man fit the role for a junkmaster. All the white that dripped from his chin and his whither muscle forming a beefy husk around his arms, only to be lost in old rags best for the sandy winds of Tatooine. Importance didn't rest in hygiene, or anything physical for most elders, and it was absolutely true for this owner who had no room in his morning schedule for anything more than a bath.
"One day...one day!"

There is something...absolutely majestic about the nature of music. In the bounds of sound echos a beauty, an allure all too refined for anything but divine simplicity or elongated poetry to describe. The vibe prescribed to the addicted delegate lives, as melodies pour into men and women's through their souls. A thread is sown into the very earth, capturing the essence in every step of a traveler, reflecting the portrait of any canvas or land. All grounds kneel before the presence of hymns and muse that ease in dynamics of profound range.
Souls stare, simply because their eyes are not of use in the present. Times and places unknown are articulated in the rhythm, spilling any void known. Even bodies aren't made to resist, despite impulse avoiding punches in flinches. Every jab at the chords, or jerk of a string reigns through the flesh in a vibration to keen for owls to see in the dark, and dogs to hear when too light.
A high un-matched storms through spirits as voices blare, or doo wop over microphones, and instruments spear the crowds. Hands collapse onto one another, falter by the smooth, charisma and suave found through the threaded beauty, blossomed from the kloo horn, bang with ommni box, but it was the solo from the nalargon that called for cheers.
The boy loved it.
That Morellian and Morganian boy loved it; he had done good.
"Thank you Kishi Stones!"

The show ended, the ladies came, but the boy went. He really wasn't a boy, but he had all the charm of one. The boy didn't like the girls though - at least not the ones that were ready for the bed before they knew him as anything beside...the boy. It didn't matter that he was always around, he remained quiet and let vocalist handle the sounds. He was like many boys...he was shy...
Well, sometimes....

"Hey you! Yah, you - you red head!"

Deidera hummed softly as she gazed over the wanted section of the news, dandling a strand of that bright red hair about her slender finger. So many feelings, difficult to sort through. There was so much activity going on in this part of town that she found it hard to concentrate on what she had come here to do. People continuously bumped into her, forgetting to apologize as their attention, too, was swept away by some floating neon monstrosity. Having ducked under some awning that belonged to a somewhat quiet cafe, she escaped the brunt of it all.
There was nothing for me at the port. No signs, no familiar faces. This place, this entire planet seems empty now. But maybe I'm missing something, someone, important. So easy to overlook things...
One planet had stuck out to her. She remembered reading about it while she was observing the many ads on that obnoxious flashing screen. Perhaps she'd ask around about it. Kaita and Vora might know something, too.
Pivoting on her heel in the direction she had come from originally, she took a step. But then...
Hey you!
She paused, turning around to see who this person, rather close to her, was addressing. It was as if he was staring right at her. Her other hand, the one not fooling about with her straight tresses, lifted. Pointing an index finger at herself, she canted her head.
Yah, you - you red head!
Her luminous blue eyes wandered up the strand of hair she had captured. Grinning slightly, she dropped both of her hands down to her sides.
Hope.
"Uhm.. how can I help you..?"

"Finally, I thought you'd never respond."
A step sent the young man ahead, bustling through the crowd. An eye captured the gal ahead, her red hair sparkling amidst the confusion. Alien languages were entangled in cohesive words, and Basic, leaving Tieru almost overcome with distortion. There was so little room to decipher all the encoding in the multi-cultural grounds, but all people that walked the Coruscanti metropolis managed.
Some way or another...
And in this case, it seemed the girl was out of luck. Tieru walked to her, and straight pass her. Embarrassment, shame and slight puzzlement shook her eyes. The eyes are certainly a spectacular pair; although, not necessary, they are certainly helpful in reading a person.
In a flash of distraught, the young lad turned about to her front with a joyous and humorous smirk. The joke was on her, he had set it up well. A slight chuckle barley allowed him to word his introduction.
"My bad - I just couldn't help it. You seem so...lost?"

Coruscant. Decadent. Wasteful. Full to the brim with FILTH. Too much time had passed since he had lost track of his dearest. Too much time apart, and every cycle that the hateful stars made only distanced him further.
A pause, a momentary stopping... it almost felt for the briefest of instances as if she were near. Surely this was some cruel joke, however... if the Empire had her, as he believed... then she could not be near. And surely the Empire must! For what other reason would she have never returned to his side...
At times like these... he allowed himself the pleasure of his memories...
"Brother, how are we feeling today, better?" a happy face smiled out at him from under soft red locks. The boy's white hair nodded in accordance with the motions of his head and he returned the smile, closing his eyes ever so slightly.
The pair were orphans in the small village, parents who had gone missing some years before. No one seemed to understand how they continued on by themselves, all they knew was that all attempts to gather the children had resulted in inexplicable failure. Now talk had began to spread, rumors and hushed whispers, witchcraft - monsterous demon children - the dark spawn of all things evil, for surely the children had killed their parents... and now feasted off their remains to keep themselves alive - drawing dark power to frighten or force all who approached.
The boy had been sick, and his dearest sister nursing him, now it seemed he would be alright, and maybe just MAYBE they would be able to make a new life for themselves. The garden was holding steady with vegetables, but it wouldn't last forever... they would have to go into town to seek help.
The door rattled on its hinges as an adult fist was thrown against it's wooden frame. "OI! OPEN UP!" behind the minister stood a gathered crowd, weapons at the ready. They'd had enough of these terrible demon children....
