Hello! You've found our little slice of the internet! It is clean and cluttered but the lines for clean and cluttered are pretty clearly defined. Don't mess up someone else's mess!

I will make recommendations here because you are new. I want you to not encounter any friction so everything goes smooth like astroglide and it feels good for all parties invovled.

HAPPY FRIENDLY SECTION
Ask questions! Even ones that seem "oh gosh this is dumb". My AIM Account is open and friendly, as is most of the staffs! If I do not answer it is because I'm not on the computer and it is nothing personal.

Even if it is really dumb I/we will simply answer the question because it is the thing to do and it is better than mocking someone for asking questions.

! Closed RPs are not sealed sacred tombs where walking in will booby trap and decapitate you! If you think your character would fit in well talk to one of the posters involved and they'll more than likely give you an in. The worst case scenario is that RP is cast in stone and they say no.

MORGAN IS STILL A BIG GIANT MEANIE HEAD SECTION
Name your account your character. Please, if you name is DEALTHXDEATH666 I will be prone to want to ban you because you l am not a totally fair and unjudgemental person. I will happily rename accounts to the character name if you made this faux pas. It also looks stupid, unless your character is a trooper so shell-shocked souless they simply go by the alphanumeric designation--what a bummer. Their name is going to be XMV2260 or something instead of DEATH666. If your name is DEATH666 I will call you DearthSuckSuckSuck but not publicly on the forums, unless you really annoy me. CallMeFlowrGrrl13 will also make me want to claw my eyes out and ban you. I suspect someone is making these accounts RIGHT NOW TO MOCK ME. Don't.

**PERSONAL MORGAN OPINION**
Using something like Kenobi or Darklighter or Skywalker in your name is lazy and uncreative. I think "Jackie Smith" is better. (THIS IS NOT AIMED AT HART WHO KICKS IT OLDSCHOOL)
////END OPINION

Do not hide from the staff as to which characters you own. We may not be "smarter" than you but we are pretty clever and nothing motivates some of us like a good mystery. It also makes you look awful to us.

Dumb question #1 from a roving old hat that's not around here enough to have info engraved in brain.

What/Where are the image avatar/sig guidelines? Specificly image size and file size restrictions?

I know I've read them before but for the life of me I'm not spotting them right now.

150px by 150px is the largest you can make them, and they should be less than 15k in file size.

Or THIS (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/profile.php?do=editavatar)
it is at the bottom of the avatar uploading form. :)

Reading the FAQ is also a good idea for new people:

In the words of Duke Henry the Red, Lord of the Northlands and leader of it's peoples... "Thank you generous hosts!"

I have a possibly-stupid question.

How are years recorded in the SW universe? Like right now it's the year 2007...

In the Expanded Universe books time is recorded as BY and AY (Before the battle of Yavin [1st Death Star, A New Hope], and After Yavin). Here in our timeline (in the wiki) we record it as BE and AE, Before and After Endor, as we started our RP timeline directly after the events of Return of the Jedi and the Battle of Endor.
