No, I played that far because of social pressure. Ultimately my dislike of the way the game worked won out. I will still play if a friend wants to level one of their lower characters.

I have a lvl 43 warlock. I find playing by myself pretty boring now, but if I play with friends it can be fun for a while. I won't be playing for a while anyway, though... my payment schedule finishes tomorrow and I haven't set it up to renew, so it's goodbye for now Azeroth.

I truly think MMORPGs are pointless, there is never an ultimate reward, sure you get to the hghest level but then what? You run around like Chuck Norris, roundhouse kicking down random houses and stuff. If there was some type of supreme ruler with a title, throne and capital where everyone knows you are the man, I may be interested.

I don't suggest that once you get the title you'd be boss forever either, it'd be hella fun to have someone try to overthrow you and whatnot.

I don't play games to get the 'ultimate reward', so I guess that's why I enjoyed it. Plus, like I said, it was fun to play with friends... two of the people I live with also play now and then, so we'd all just get together in one room with some drinks and such and generally goof around.

Hah, well, I love the Xbox Achievement points to show skills, such as beating the original Contra in under 10 minutes without using a continue, I consider feats like that to be the ultimate reward, sue me if I'm competitive.

While games like these are addictive and consume a great deal of time, my greatest attraction to MMORPGs is the PVP element. Especially in WoW. On my mage, I'm pretty unstoppable, really. PVP servers are such fun: if it's red, it's dead.
