It was inevitable, with the success of Battlestar Galactica and Hero's, the over saturation of cop/crime & medical dramas, the 2007/2008 season is shaping up to be sci-fi overkill pulling out every past hit it can.

Which reminds me... ya'll knew Jaime Sommers was coming back as well right?

I am pretty excited now, that I read upon the production. Some of the producing crew from the Terminator movies are involved, including Mario Kassar. The visual effects are handled by Emmy award-winning zoic studios, which made firefly, battlestar galactica and serenity.

I watched the first episode, thought it was fairly average with some nonsensical moments. Again, I sat there feeling that this wasn't needed. But I never even saw the last movie, for the same exact reason...the story was perfectly told in the first 2 movies. So I can't even compare the new show to the last movie. But I do agree with TV Guide's review of the show--it was way better than the Bionic Woman. :p

Oh man, the cheese factor of the Bionic Woman was a bit tough choking down. I wasn't expecting much out of it, but the cheese outweighed the gravy. But, if it continues I'll still watch it 'cause the interplay between the *evil* bionic woman and Jamie was a riot.

I'll be watching the second part tonight. Have too, Summer Glau, she's the bomb.

I thought the first episode was very entertaining, and will of course stay glued to the screen watching the rest of the show. Having said that, some of the script writing already seems somewhat dubious..

Isotopes..? Where do you get those from, Walmart? And why is she assembling that isotope gun before she could know the other Terminator was on his way in? Seems like a waste of time when the objective was to start up the time machine and get out of there. And talk about getting to those safety deposit boxes in the most alarming way possible, her logic circuits must be broken or something. Oh, and they have the terminator chick travel to 99 so they won't have to break the story line of T3 (Sarah Connor died of cancer), but then completely goes against it saying Skynet starts on a junkyard in 2007, when in the movie it was a military network computer virus that was fully operational in 2003. They traveled to a point of time at least 4 years too late, so what happened in the meantime that stopped Skynet from happening?

.. but apart from the "wait a minute" moments, it looks like a fun show.

yeeeeeah... I think basically they are taking the route - 3 never happened. ;)

yeah, the isotope gun and the time machine are kinda wtf? So unless the time machine destroyed everything in the safety deposit box room, the people in 99 are going to have a "ball" playing with the technology left behind. oops! :lol

The TV show basically has created a timeline where the events of T3 do not take place.

Its explained a little better tonight in the second half of the premiere.
Teenage 'bot explained to Sarah that she was told by Future John to jump them to 2007 so that Sarah would escape her 2004 cancer death (mentioned in T3). Future John wants Sarah alive to try to stop Skynet because she's the best fighter he knows (and maybe because if you have timetraveling equipment and want to change the future you might as well save your mom from a known death). So by jumping to 2007, Teenage 'Bot has created a new timeline and erased the events of T3, or at least altered them a lot.

Sarah may die of cancer in five years still, of course.

Problems with the show: Sarah in the TV show hasn't smoked a single cigarette, while Sarah of the movies smoked like a chimney. She's also not... er... convincing as a stand in for Linda Hamilton who made me believe she could rip your head off with her bare hands, and would. Linda had the crazy down pat. :p New Sarah just seems sort of vaguely determined to survive, yet has yet to attempt a single pull-up, which makes me think she can't do one.

Yeah, I was looking at her arms and missing the ripped mass Linda did for T2 - *sigh* Linda Hamilton was/is the bomb. Her escape from Pescadero Mental Institution just awesome and believable. Mother Bear on a mission don't get in her way.

Yes, but that still does not explain how Judgement Day July 24, 2004 was stopped. The difference between the timeline in T3 is that Sarah and John physically disappeared between 99 and 2007 (in Sarah's case, from 99 to 2004). There must be something else that changed, delaying Judgement Day from happening. Otherwise they would not have ended up on a highway, but on a post nuclear fallout battlefield.

Yeah, no kidding. Linda Hamilton is about as replacable as Sigourney Weaver in the Alien / Aliens movies. The greatest female motion picture action heroes of all time. She acts well, but she is not anywhere near that calibre of toughness. Sarah's character seems to be emulated as an afterthought almost. I think these kind of differences will just become even more visible for the remainder of the show. The casting for John Connor was perfect however. I am also starting to like this Terminator chick. In my expert opinion, she is hot.

I watched episode 2, and thought it was quite a bit better than episode 1. It's shaping up to be an exciting show, despite my reservations :)

Good point. Its been a while since I've watched T3 so I wasn't sure on the date of Judgement Day.

Terminator Chick did give a new date for Judgement Day to Sarah and John though, in 2011 or something. So its probably just a plot hole they're hoping no one will care toooooo intensely about.

The last two episodes have been great. Very creepy.

The moment when serial killer terminator had organic tissue growing over it's body in the bathtub and had its eyes slit open with a scalpel, or when the bunker guard terminator was in hibernation while having the key around the neck those moments just made me go "aaaaahhh!" and were in true spirit of the first Terminator movie.

I liked the show so far although I hate the fact that they erased T3 from the timeline, which I considered the best way to end a franchise without trying to top something that is already perfect...it was much better than X-Men 3. In the end the Terminator timeline never really made sense since it is full of anomalies that then again make perfectly sense since what is a time machine good for if you can't alter the future.
The Terminator Universe seems to differ from the Twelve Monkey Verse where every action is set in stone and we are all just spectators of our own fate.

Oh and when we are talking about glitches and plot holes: How did the Terminator head make it through the time machine but their cloths did not?
Maybe the skin on the head was still there but getting vaporized while the head was sucked into the plot/timehole

One of my favorite moments in the show so far is the suicide attempt. At first I was shocked but in the end I was reliefed that the studio is brave enough to take a pretty dark approach that the Terminator franchise deserves.

BTW I am new to this forum but some people might already know me from CC.net or SWGs or both. I am looking forward to post here on a regular base now.

Yesterday's episode was great. I like the fact that they referenced the main chip and it's location inside a terminator's head from the T2 director's cut. I wonder what they will do with the endoskeleton.

Too bad she was probably standing on a chair, or someone pushed her up. Notice, the camera angle, we actually never saw her legs as she pulled up.. :p

Of course, there could have been trickery in the T2 scene too (full body shot, but from the backside, could have been a stand in with similar hair). But at least in Linda Hamilton's case, she is far more believable. More muscular and trained, she looks like she could actually do that.

Well, my first thought was they should reprogram the terminator to join their side. But then a friend of mine pointed out that may be technically hard to do. Maybe they need some advanced lab equipment or futuristic technology to do that. The T3 chick who reprogrammed Arnold was pretty advanced. Either way, they should definitely save the endoskeleton. I hope they did not just leave it unattended in panic because they needed to save Reese. It would be way too risky to let that tech be "found".

Personally, I rather like the focus on computer chess and the connection to development of AI. I am a regular watcher of professional chess, and their portrayal was surprisingly accurate, except for a couple obvious glitches.

Crusader

Yeah a friend of mine that is studying computer sciene in his last semester pointed out that some of the AI behaviour that is mentioned in the show are known real world issues that have come up with the advancement in multicore usage.
The mood thing is a known issue that is caused by multi-processor use. It is a scientificly identified and explained problem that can't be bypassed yet leading to different results at tests under similar circumstances. My friend got pretty specific about the details and my brain checked out after a few minutes but it sounded pretty convincing :rolleyes

Oh and I noticed the angles as well but who could blame the actress for not building up any more muscles. The show is running on FOX and nobody knows when FOX is going to pull the plug this time. So investing too much effort into shaping a body for just 14 episodes might be a bad idea if you want to stay "attractiv" for other rolls.
Linda Hamilton was able to exercise without regret since her career was over and there was only this role left where she could score big time once again.

Yog
Feb 13th, 2008, 04:24:39 PM
Yeah, the references to computer AI is very interesting :)

I think they probably had some competent people writing on AI and chess. Maybe even a titled chess player working on the script. The story of the "The Turk" and understanding of the chess term like "zugzvang" are nice details. Also the talk about how a chess engine analyses a position, finding the lines most interesting leading to a positional or material advantage. The poster shown in episode 3 was from a real world chess match poster (http://www.chessmaniac.com/uploaded_images/duel-713219.jpg) btw. Notice the eerie resemblance to a terminator hand.

I looked it up, sounds very promising:

NEW YORK -- Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" terminated Sunday night's primetime competition, including NBC's controversial telecast coverage of the Golden Globes.

On a night when before the writers strike NBC was hoping to shine, it was instead Fox's moment to shine. After getting a 37.3 million viewer boost for the last hour of the New York Giants-Dallas Cowboys NFC semifinal, the network scored the highest broadcast TV premiere in viewership and adults 18-49 in at least two years for "Sarah Connor." At least 18.3 million viewers and a sky-high 7.6 rating/18 share in the demo, according to preliminary estimates released Monday by Nielsen Media Research.

.. and here is what the media is saying about it, mostly positive:

The pilot episode received a rating of 11.1 from Nielsen Media Research on January, 13. 2008. The mainstream press reviews were generally positive. USA Today gave the premiere episode 3 and a half stars out of four, calling the series, "smart, tough and entertaining."[41] The New York Times referred to it as "one of the more humanizing adventures in science fiction to arrive in quite a while",[42] while the Los Angeles Times declared the show "has heart and feeling" and "an almost Shakespearean exploration of fate vs. character" that features "plenty of really great fight scenes, and explosions, as well as neato devices developed in the future and jury-rigged in the present."[43] In addition, film industry journal Daily Variety declared the series pilot "a slick brand extension off this profitable assembly line" that showcases "impressive and abundant action with realistic visual effects and, frankly, plenty of eye candy between Glau and Headey."[44]

Not all response has been positive, however. The Futon Critic, in a June 14, 2007 review of the pilot episode, declared that "it's actually far more ingrained into the Terminator mythology than you'd expect," but stated that "this installment feels less like a 'pilot' and more like an excuse to rearrange the deck chairs on the 'Terminator' franchise to potentially have a TV show."[23] One negative report from La Lamina Corredora reported that "the pilot feels too much like a cheap remake of T2."[45] Lena Headey's Sarah Connor has been criticized for not being as muscular as Linda Hamilton in T2.[46][47]

.. this does not sound too promising though:

Following the resolution of the WGA Strike, the Los Angeles Times printed a chart indicating the status of American network television series. The chart, reprinted by a number of other websites, categorizes the series as "on the bubble", a term used to describe series in danger of cancellation, although as of mid-February Fox had yet to announce the fate of the series.[40]

:(

Crusader
Feb 13th, 2008, 07:37:16 PM
Some additional bad news:
There are only 5 Episodes left for this season because of the WGA strike. So we need some stable numbers for the next 5 weeks otherwise Fox will kill it before it has even really started to take off.

Oh and BTW Heroes season 3 starts in Fall 2008 and 24 season 7 is pushed back to january 2009.

I really liked last night's episode it was a little bit slower than the last one but I loved...The scenes from the future. They talk all the time about Skynet and the "holocaust" that happened after Judgement Day but finally they stopped telling and started showing.
Cameron(Summer Glau) seems to be running her own show. I don't think that she is going to betray them but maybe her assignement is not only to protect John or maybe this is not what she was sent back for at all. There is certainly a twist going on in the background and I can't wait to find out what it is.

I am still loving this show! In the ... flashback scenes to the future (lol) it was a little difficult to figure out who was who - all the men seemed to look alike except one was wearing a hat, or something. :p

Andy Goode in the future should have looked older - the Reese brothers would be little kids in 2007, and Andy was in his twenties. So they should have tried to age him a little more - though maybe they did and then all the scruff and dirt obscured the work they did. :p

Yes and what is Cameron up to? She's being very sneaky.

Where did the full head of hair come from?

Yeah, that bothered me too. You would think they could get the original Silverman on for a guest performance in one episode. The least they could do is make him look more like him. I have the same complaint about Sarah Connor. The producers spend all that money on special effects but it never occurred spending $100 to color her hair red would make it more convincing? Also, there is a lot you can do with makeup nowadays. It would have been easy to get an Arnie lookalike with some dark shades to be part of the show. It's just too damn lazy.

Last night was an exciting season finale with two episodes. Question though, was it good enough? I am really worried FOX may cancel this show now.

A few things I found interesting:

- Cromartie killing all those FBI agents, but not Agent Ellison. I guess it did not view him as a threat and not part of his mission? The mysteries of an artificial mind. What are your thoughts on that? Maybe he will have some role with Skynet later on?
- Wow, that SWAT scene with the pool masacre and the Johny Cash music was amazing.
- I also liked the Happy Birthday scene..
- On the note of artificial mind, looking through the memories of the Terminator chip was creepy.
- Do you think the Terminator chick survived that explosion? My guess: Yes.
- Who is this Sarkissian guy?

So I finally watched the last 3 episodes and I must admit the show starts get better with every episode. Especially after episode 3. Oh and episode 7 is awesome...once you have dealt with the above mentioned criticism. The whole HAND of GOD thing was great

Last night was an exciting season finale with two episodes. Question though, was it good enough? I am really worried FOX may cancel this show now.

Does anyone know when FOX is going to announce its future projects for the second half of 2008? I really would love to see Cameron at the prom.

-Cromartie seems to have figured out that as long as Agent Ellison is on the case he will be able to use him to track down the Connors like he did before.
-The pool scene was great. A pretty cheap but entertaining way to save some production money
-I liked the Birthday scene too. I think Derrick is a great charakter since he is not Kyle Reese and so he is not a fanatic follower of John Connor but a guy that is fighting for his own future
-I really hope that Cameron comes back without too much harm so that she can go to prom :)
-Yeah who the hell is this guy?

She'll be back! Fox ordered 13 new episodes for a second season.
The best news is that it will continue in fall with a different timeslot in order to avoid the competition with Heroes Season 3.

We watched it. I'm still not sure how much I like the TV storyline. John Conner is such a... well he's all whiny and 'why me!?' And Sarah, for all she's supposed to be protecting him she sure runs her car into everything in sight at high speeds

I did like the new villain they introduced. I liked her a whole lot.

Ya know ...

Shirley Manson from GARBAGE is the villain! that's awesome. I recognized her right away, but couldn't believe it was her! I loved when Cameron knocked the SUV into the same location as T2 when Arnold/John raced away from the T1000 in the Semi. And of course there was the line 'Call out to him ..."

I was like wow. Lots of subtle, and not so subtle, call backs to T2. And why? Because we have a T1000 as the villain. I really enjoyed the set up for the season. Overtly trying to make skynet, John trying to be hard core, Cameron's chip issues aren't over yet ... :)

I'm fairly pleased with the series so far. Last night's episode was quite good, but last week's was dreadful. Still, I do worry for it. They seem to be weaving a pretty good story but Fox may not be patient enough to let it develop for hardcore Terminator fans if the ratings don't pick up.

Who would have thought that Brian Austin Green would be the best part of anything, but he's becoming the star of this show rather quickly.

Lilaena De'Ville
Oct 8th, 2008, 01:26:12 AM
If it were the Reese Brothers: Terminate the Terminators series or something that would be cool. Brian Austin Greene IS the best thing about the show.

John Conner is a whiny whiner who *gasp* attends school and tries to fit in. WHAT?! This woman is supposed to be protecting him and she lets him ATTEND SCHOOL where more than once TERMINATORS have come to get him?

At least now she's 'homeschooling' him, except that she never teaches him anything except how to whine. :rolleyes

Miranda Tarkin
Oct 8th, 2008, 11:34:28 AM
Well, I look at it this way. he's a teenager and been living his entire life knowing that he's the one chosen to save mankind. I be a whiny brat too because I couldn't have a normal life.

All though, after this episode, we'll see. He got a glimpse of how people see him. He's viewed as a Messiah and people are willing to die for him. That isn't easy to take in either.

As for Sarah, I think this season is a lot about her trying to let go enough control of John without having to loose him. When she doesn't, he gets rebellious. I don't see a problem with that.

I want to know more about Cameron infiltrating future John's base and how Alison is tied to him. This season feels like more pieces being moved into place like in chess, and at the end there will be a surprise. :) So I agree with JMK that I hope the network will give it a chance. They are building to something.

^^I agree completly on what Miranda said.

If John Connor was already the ultimate soldier and tactican this show would make no sense. Why not let him be a whiner as long as he shows that he can make a difference in the right situation. I would not want to trade in my life for his although this would mean that I survived longer than most of the people on this earth.

I like the fact that this show has got so many story arcs already after only 20 episodes without having too many Terminator of the week episodes.

The Cameron/Alison story arc is a great idea since it explains her behaviour shifts very well and now the "I love you" line in Episode 2x01 makes a lot more sense.

I actually agree with some of what you said there. Plus, I think the series should be closer in pacing to the movies. There needs to be a sense of urgency, like in the movies. Not hanging around at schools and whatnot. The script writing is kinda subpar. The concepts for story archs are not that bad, but not enough is done to keep a horror element in it. That is what made T1-T2 so good. It is all way too comfy.

My main problem is the casting though. It just is not the same without Linda Hamilton, and Lena Headey is nothing like Sarah Connor. Sad thing is, Sonya Walger (who played Michelle Dixon) would have been a much better cast pick. It is almost eerie how much she looks like Linda Hamilton's version of Sarah Connor.

My other cast problem is Summer Glau as a Terminator. It just is not believable to me.

Despite all these problems, I still think it is one of the more entertaining shows out there. Says a lot about how much crap there is on TV, and what a geek I am.. :(

I have to disagree with you on that since I just love her timing and body language. In last weeks episode you could really see the difference in who is in control of Cameron's body Alison or the machine.
Cameron's mechanical behaviour became so obvious compared to Alison's soft and normal movement.
I think Summer Glau as a professional dancer is one of the few actors that can play such a role like Schwarzenegger was the perfect cast choice for T1 because he knew his body so well from his training.

Yog
Oct 8th, 2008, 03:42:14 PM
It's hard to define, but something about her does not come off as roboty at all, for me. Maybe, it is her voice. Maybe it is something about body language or acting, I don't know. But the hostile T-800s so far in the show, all felt convincing. And Arnold, he was almost born to be a terminator it seems. Even when he is at his normal, there is something roboty about him, it's natural to him.

One problem I have, is envisioning this (http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/8677/terminatorrx1.jpg) inside an Ally McBeal type body. Yeah, it is probably a rare model, but then at the very least, the producers have to show some of the internals, and really push the stuff only terminators can do, otherwise they fail at suspending my disbelief. They did good job showing the T-1000 true form, so that I can more easily accept.

Last monday's episode was great. Maybe one of the best episodes in the show although it was just an episode to break the routine. I think Summer Glau was very strong in this episode.
I like the way how they portray skynet in this season. Skynet is so afraid of falling out of the future timeline that it does everything to maintain its role in the present and future even if this means that it has to mimic events that it has accidently undone through timetravel.

Miranda Tarkin

:: nods ::

Yes the Terminator of the week was actually done very interestingly, especially since Skynet screwed up the temporal shift :lol But what more amazing was seeing Cameron making friends/using them/trying to understand humans! I don't know! It's really hard to understand what is going on inside her programming since the chip got damaged.

At least Riley isn't as boring, she has a mission and purpose with Derrick's girlfriend, trying to keep John and Cameron apart. However, I found their scenes to jarring for the shifts in story. John is starting to become a tad annoying, but at least some of the future Connor creeped in.

Last monday's episode was great. I really liked it. But you know what? There was no Sarah in it at all.

I think Holly is right. I think Riley is from the future, or perhaps someone brought in for the cause in our timeline? But I am thinking the former. The last 3 episodes seem a little bit like roomfillers. Good roomfillers actually since we have learned a lot about the characters lately while the story arc has not developed much lately.
The episode from last week was great. I really liked the actress who was playing the daughter and I hoped that she would become a regular on the show at the end of the episode.
Her chemistry with the other acters was great and she seemed to me like a missing peace in the show:
We have got all of these tough women in this show but none of them is acting as a true consciousness for the show. The only one who actually does that is John and "Holly" hates him for this.

This weeks episode was kind of funny: Something like the X-Files meets the Terminator.
OK one woman believes that she has seen UFOs and one claims that there are machines sent back through time to kill her son. Who is more crazy? Too bad that the writers did not use this irony right in your face during this episode.

Me neither. I couldn't believe what I had seen. I looked at my fiancee who had the similar look of being stunned. Was it a joke? A dream? Apparently not. The way it was kept quiet, and happened so quickly...I just couldn't believe it went down like that.

They're starting to knock off significant characters. Is this series winding down now? At this rate there will be no one left. All we know is that John survives. Sarah, Cameron, Mr. Ellison, Ms. Weaver all will probably die at some point, and at this pace, it may be sooner rather than later.

Lilaena De'Ville
Apr 5th, 2009, 02:27:03 AM
Just like that. REALLY?! REALLY!? I was shocked.

Speculation - John Henry is a prototype for a 'good' AI, to combat Skynet in the future. This must have to do with the mission of the Jimmy Carter, when John was asking for the T3000 (or its faction) to join them. This 'third' faction of machines is sympathetic to the humans perhaps, and sends creepy redhead machine back in time to set up and build the John Henry program and teach it morals and ethics and to value human life.

p.s. I adore the little girl, she's the cutest thing I've ever seen ever.

At first I thought the point of this season was to give skynet its link to the present back. Dyson and Cyberdine blew up in T2 and this is still canon so skynet should not exist in the present right now as long as no one rebuilds it.

So the big question is: Is the worm PRESENT SKYNET or is it FUTURE SKYNET?
And what is John Henry's role in this play? Is Mrs Weaver a rogue machine on a mission to end this war or is she trying to rebuild skynet in a better way.
We already know that Skynet and the machines do not share the same plan: Just as a reminder Cromatie killed a T triple AAA that was sent to replace Agent Ellison because he believed that Skynet was wrong to take him out of this game.
I am looking forward to the season final. The show has really improved in the last 3-4 episodes.

I like that now its just John and Cameron alone. It was just so... sudden. :( But it appears they're trying to alienate him from the people who are trying to protect him (esp. those trying to protect him from Cameron).

And Sarah should look outside doors before she runs outside. Sheesh.

I thought this show redeemed itself in the season finale. Many of the issues I had previously, seemed less important as the puzzle pieces came together. It was without a doubt the best episode in the entire series. It was like all the mediocre writing we had suffered and going in circles plot wise for most of the season was worth it, because they had a role in leading up to this episode, and in the end it all made sense.

The season finale was corker not only because it was the dramaturgical climax and showdown we had been waiting for, but it also had several surprises, and most importantly; it opened up a whole different time line where John Connor joins the resistance, not as an adult, but as a 16 year old boy, and presumably becomes a leader at some point. John Connor already missed out on the early stages of the war! That is a completely different scenario to what happened in T3, where John ends up in a bunker signalling over radio to survivors.

This turn of events is interesting for 3 reasons. First of all, the fact that the narrative moves to the future. Secondly, it is a a different spin of what we thought we knew lead to the human resistance against the machines. But thirdly, and most importantly, you now have the possibility of 2 parallel story lines. One in the future with John, his father, Derek Reese, human Cameron and Weaver who are joining him in the future. The other story line would be in the past, where you have Sarah, Cameroon terminator chip in John Henry's body with his harddisk, and agent Ellison. Lot of interesting material there.

This also opens up an interesting dilemma for Sarah, because on one hand she needs to keep fighting SkyNet and try to delay or stop Judgement Day from happening. On the other hand, if she succeed doing that, what happens to John in the future then? Would that not cause the timeline her son jumped into to collapse, and John would cease to exist? Not a fun choice for a mother.

I also think something needs to be said about Weaver and her rebel faction. LD was spot on with her prediction. From what we saw in the submarine episode and what we know now, there is one or several rebel factions of machines fighting each other. We still don't know why, but somehow, these machines decided SKynet was bad, based on the logical deduction of their AI. Which in itself raises an interesting question, how do these machines come to a different conclusion than that of Skynet? Is it a a different tree of programming than what Skynet was based on, or is it a sign some of these machines are becomming more human like? Maybe that is another reason why John Henry's AI was created, and why Weaver wanted agent Ellison's help teaching John Henry. They are creating the AI that will stand up to the machines in the future..

Btw, did yu guys notice the Eel in the aquarium Weaver had, that turned into liquid metal and merged with her after the hunter droid crashed through the window and exploded. That was the liquid terminator in the submarine episode, which John had asked to join his resistance, but said no. Maybe that faction changed their minds, and sent Weaver back to the past along with the liquid metal eel, and their mission was to build an AI (John Henry) that could fight SkyNet before Judgement Day, delaying it, and join forces with John at an early stage of the war in the future, where it would make a bigger impact.

Also, even now that Weaver is allied with the good guys, it will be difficult to think of Weaver as such. She is definitely not a "good gal" in a traditional sense. Weaver does not have any programming that says "killing humans" is bad, like John Connor tried to tell Arnold T-800 in Terminator 2. So she just does whatever is efficient to complete her goals. Keeping people from revealing what they were doing, was part of that. If it meant impaling people, so be it. I guess she has no qualms about killing people, as long as it is not John Connor, who she needs to work together with, to defeat Skynet in the future.

You remember when she went to that lab up in the mountains killing all those people? That was because she wanted to shut that project down, a project designed to build those hunter droids. A tool for SkyNet.

Btw, I can't help wondering if John Connor will get it on with Cameron in the future now.. :lol

Ok, this post is getting longwinded, but to conclude, I think it was one hell of a strong ending to the show, which works both as a final ending and as a buildup to season 3 if there ever was one. Unfortunately, I don't think Fox cares about such things. They will probably wait after T4 movie been in theaters for a while, announcing that the show is to be cancelled.

I would hope that even Fox, despite it's long and sordid history of canceling good shows before their time, could grasp the sheer common sense of keeping this show on the air. Especially with the movie coming out.

Every week I am amazed at how good the show is. The season finale was awesome. At least give them one more season to tell us what the hell the T-1000's really are and how they fit in.

Since the background of the series includes the first 2 movies, they really need to explain how T2 jibes with this whole "Will you join us." plot thread. Are they even Skynet creations at all, and if so, how far in the future were they created? Are they the ones who gave Skynet time travel technology? Why? Did they change sides? Is Weaver from the same future as Robert Patrick? AAAGGH

That much buildup with no resolution may make my brain implode.
