He just passed away... He was such an incredible writer. I've only read 5 or 6 of his books, but I love his stuff. Such a shame...

Kurt was one of my favorite writers and a real inspiration. Another great gone.

He was the Samuel Clemens of the modern era. "Slaughterhouse-Five" and "Cat's Cradle" are classics. His unique point-of-view on society will be missed.

Like a lot of people, my first exposure to his work was the short story "Harrison Bergeron" when I was school. It was one of the few pieces of literature in the required curriculum that was truly worth the time taken to analyze and comprehend it.

I was in a bookshop today, looking to pick up something for school, and thought I'd go and see which books of Vonnegut's they had in, just out of curiosity. Nothing. Not one Vonnegut book, but a space where they should be. Made me wonder if his death prompted people to go out and buy his novels. I hope so.
