Pirates and Harry Potter are definitely on my to-see list, but I am more excited to see 300. ( :love Gerry Butler)

I figured Harry, Pirates and Spiderman would all be neck and neck being those are the three big franchises right now.

Pirates 3.
Simpsons and 300 are also on my to see list.

Spider-Man for me. I am not looking forward to Pirates, because Dead Man's Chest was so... bleh. Spider-Man is my current interest. Hopefully it won't be absolute rot, which is more then I can say for Pirates.

Definately The Simpsons if anything off that list. Spiderman will probably be great, I couldn't give two hoots about another pirate film after that last piece of rubbish, Harry Potter will probably be great too, but I think seeing His Dark Materials brought to the big screen will be fantastic.

Pirates! And 300, which is not a summer movie, and then Hot Fuzz and then Harry Potter. :D

Transformers the most, although Spiderman 3, Pirates (if I get round to watching #2), Simpsons and Shrek are up there. I'll probably go and see Harry Potter and Fantastic Four, although I'm not nearly as hyped as I am about the others. And I may go and see Epic Movie and Evan Almighty, just because they look like studenty films. *shrug*
Saw Rocky Balboa today (friday); not something I was "looking forward" to particularly, but I was impressed with how good it was. In hindsight, that'd be on my list. Smokin' Aces (which I saw wednesday), not so much. Worth watching, but I wouldn't pay to see it twice.
Oh, and Hot Fuzz. Forgot about that. Shawn of the Dead was ace, and it looks hilarious. It had better live up to the hype...

Harry Potter, Pirates, Spidey, Transformers (much to my surprise) and Hot Fuzz are the first ones that come to mind. I don't think I'll be seeing Shrek 3 because I didn't like Shrek 2 at all, except for Puss 'N Boots.

300, 300, 300, 300, and 300.
Oh and Hot Fuzz too I guess.

Sorry it was hard because the Summer movies are the dominant movies. And I was also going by Box office for most as Pirates, Spiderman, Shrek and Potter will be the top 4 in the box office. I guess I could have put 300 over The Simpsons since they will end up grossing about the same.

I personally think the Simpsons movie will be the most successful of the year box-office wise. Everyone will go to see it, and if it's good, many will return for more viewings. It's the Simpsons, it's a household name in nearly every country in the world. And who doesn't love them?

I doubt it honestly. I see it making 85-110 million right now.
To me in U.S Box office terms the top 5 will probably be (unless some movie comes out and surprises everyone).
Pirates 3 340-370
Shrek the third 330-370
Spiderman 3 320-350
Harry Potter 5 270-300
Transformers 200-250
After that probably Bourne, Rush Hour 3 and Ratouille (Pixar's new Movie). I am sure there will be something I don't expect. I just don't think The Simpsons will do as well as the above movies mainly becase it is on TV still and some people will say why pay for something they can see for free.

Oh man, I forgot about Ratouille - I'm really looking forward to that too. And I think HP 5 will do better than Shrek 3, and Spiderman 3 will do better than them both.

Well I think WW HP 5 wins. Its between it and POTC 3 for that, IMO. Domestic is another matter. OOTP would have to be the first Harry Potter movie since the first to break the 300 barrier. It is possible since the 4th film was so much better liked, but I am not sure.

Crap. Scratch one of those votes for Transformers. I voted in this as both Xanatos and Sin - not realizing I'd already vote as X.
And on that note, being a long LONG time transformers fan, I'm desperately looking forward to that.

Oceans 13, anyone? ... -_-
Oh, also, I'm surprised no one put up Grindhouse. I sorta forgot about it as well until I saw the trailer earlier this morning.

Hollywood loves sequels right now. This will probably be the year of the sequel.

You mean the Year of the Sequel II? Or is it III now? Heh, every year we call it "The Year of the Sequel."

Well 4 are big time trilogies that are very popular. Oceans 13 and Rush Hour 3 well I am not sure how well either one of them will do.
