Wish me luck, all. I have my only final of the semeester tomorrow afternoon and it's closed book, so I have to rely entirely on my memory and razor-sharp intellect (:rolleyes) to get by!

Ick. I feel your pain - got two finals and a mid-module exam next week.
Don't worry though. You rock. Ergo, you'll pwn them good. :)

Good luck, though I know you'll do well even without luck.

Well, it went as awfully as I predicted it would! I wrote one mediocre essay, and one that was exceptionally poor. Luckily I can resit in the summer.

Don't be like that - you always exaggerate stuff when you think about them afterwards. You probably did way better than you thought you did.
You're always your own worst critic. ;)

You know, normally I'm not. I can usually tell if I've done well. I have quite an ego when it comes to my school work, thanks to many years of being told things like I have a 'preternatural gift' ^_^; But this time, no. I am not just moping for no reason. I read through my essays at the end of the exam and they were poor. I didn't study enough, didn't attend enough lectures and such like. Fortunately we can retake this exam and I can bump up my marks that way :)

Well, if you can resit, then its one of those learning experiences, isn't? You'll know you have to try harder, et al. I had that with A-Levels: should've taken the first few bad marks as a warning. But I didn't: I'd always done well pretty effortlessly with my science stuff, but after missing six months of school during GCSE, I didn't buck up my ideas to make up the difference. I managed to pass the Mensa test, and got accepted: guess I figured I'd just "breeze" through it all like I had before. Not such a genius-worthy idea. ^_^;
I ended up revising like crazy for resits in U6, but it was too little too late. I came out of Sixth Form with D-U-D-E as my marks. >_< I was really lucky to wind up in a University at all, and I'm trying hard not to make the same mistakes for a third time.
As long as you butt-whoop with the resits, then this is just a hiccup. :)
