I also saw the comic 2-packs the other day in the store, but at $16 each I'll let it be for now. I know I'll probably live to regret that because I bet they become huge collector's items.

I also thought I noticed an error on them. They were all numbered (top left) #2-4. On the back of the box there's the shot of the 3 sets, numbered 1-3. I wonder if there's been a misprint and if some rare figures sitting on the pegs less than a mile from here???

It's not a misprint. #1 in the set was the internet exclusive Crimson Empire set with Carnor Jax and Kir Kanos. You're getting ripped off at $16, here in the states they retail for around $11. At that price they're awesome.

My collecting has drastically slowed down. Not because of lack of interest, but because like Jinn, I'm out of space and I can't see a time when I will have space to display it all. At least 50% of our storage space is devoted to my SW collection and that's unfair. I still pick up the odd figure or vehicle that I just can't pass up (picked up Darth Vader's Sith Starfighter yesterday) but compared to what I was buying 2+ years ago, it's all but stopped. I imagine I'll be back on the market if and when they release the new SW TV series toys.

Those animated statues are awesome. I've got a Yoda and I preordered the upcoming Yoda on Kybuck. Gentle Giant exclusives are brutal, but if there was a subset I'd go after it would be the animated maquettes.

Charley and I went to TRU for the first time in a very long while. We walked out with a Hailfire crazy-wheeled missile thing, a droid tank, a galactic marine, and an airborne trooper.

We also saw a huuuuge lego deathstar. Woulda bought it except that it was about $270-ish :(

Ok so, during a merry little jaunt through TRU, I happened upon a Bantha battle pack/set that came with three tusken raider figures. Now, two of the figures I already have, and to me the Bantha looked a little shoddy in construction; plus I didn't really feel like paying 45 bucks for it.

I'm still on the fence about it though. Should I get it?

This is one of those rare instances where the older POTF2 version is superior to the newer TAC version. The new Bantha's have some really funky hair. Not only that, but there's TWO versions of this battle pack shipping right now. One has light tan figures, the second darker, almost reddish Tusken Raiders. I haven't opened mine yet (I got the lighter tan version), but I'm pretty sure it's not going to look as good as the earlier version. If you're in it for the Bantha, I'd pick up the older POTF2 version.
