I want to return roleplaying here. I used to roleplay at the SWFans on ezboard, and I did it for a little while when it first moved to the vB. I have been roleplaying at TGC for the past few years, but I am really skeptical about this new Yuku idea and I doubt I will follow ezboard over. I was wondering which factions are most active and what rank would I have to start with, since I officially had ranked Knights and a few neutrals with missions under their belts, mostly bounter hunters.

The policy is that if you held a rank before the reset and have proof of it (threads, etc) then you may transfer that rank over. So if you were a Knight before you can be a Knight now.

I'm not sure which groups are the most active - I'd venture a guess and say the Empire and Kuklos Ataxia, followed by TSO, The Rebel Alliance, and then the Jedi Enclave. Unfortunately for the Jedi, they haven't been unified yet so there is very little board activity for them - although the Jedi are fairly active in the RPing section.

Something you will probably come to notice about 'Fans, in its current incarnation, is a significantly diminished amount of emphasis on "factions" roleplaying solely within themselves (in the way that everything used to be GJO vs. TSO/TSE). Everything has become a lot more... loose now, in terms of characters being grouped together. A lot of our storytelling focuses on small groups of characters and their individual experiences, frequently with characters from multiple different backgrounds – Jedi, Rebel, Independent, Imperial even – finding themselves working together.

Or even having some internal conflicts and friction within the ranks. I like it, tis fun.

That sounds good guys. I'm a little burnt out on Force users, so I think I will probably go with a neutral. I'm going to think a little while on the character before I commit. Thanks.

I'm sure that both the Empire and the Alliance would be happy to have you on board, if that's up your alley. If not, the galaxy can never have too many hunters/smugglers/scumbags.
