I was curious what everybody's favorite Christmas Movie is. I picked 9 choices I went with the 4 classics, a personal favorite of mine, and four more recent Christmas Movies. I also let people pick there own with Other.

I'm not sure if it's just a British thing but I love 'The Snowman'.

For me it's the George C. Scott Chrismas Carol. It was a tradition we had when I was growing up to watch that one every year and it's just stuck with me...

Oh, darn, I voted for National Lampoon's.

I forgot all about Jack Frost: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116671/

It's such a horrible horror movie. I love it!

I'd have to say White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. Tis a classic.

Santa Clause for me, because I couldn't think of any "other" movie to pick and I have not seen any of the other movies on the list.

I voted for Scrooge (1970). It stared Albert Finney as Scrooge and old Obi-Wan as Jacob Marley. It was a musical and has some good musical numbers. I watch it every christmas.

A Christmas Story, without a doubt! :)

I never understood the charm of Christmas story. I have tried watching it, but I just didn't like it as much as critics and others do. Maybe that is just me. I prefer some of the versions of The Christmas Carol, It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34 Street more.

Muppets Christmas Carol is my second favorite, after White Christmas. :D

Toss-up between It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story. I'll give it to It's a Wonderful Life because it's critically the best, and probably the most emotional of the bunch.

I used to know both movies by heart, and watch them about three times each per year :)

Where's the "all are crap" option?

I think it's the "Aussie" option, but I could be wrong, so double check that. ;)

I opted for The Polar Express. :) My kids love that movie and we watch it quite a bit actually. However in retrospect I think Santa Claus the movie, the one with Dudley Moore, I think? That's my previous favorite.

I'm not sure if it's just a British thing but I love 'The Snowman'.

Also another good one. :)

I know you're being edgy, but if you honestly don't like It's a Wonderful Life, then I gotta wonder about you and movies, man.

I always seem to end up watching one of the 'Home Alone' movies at Christmas, more so than any of the others listed above.

I'd go with Christmas Story then the old Mickey version but I can't remember the name of it, it was on in like the 80s since it's on a Beta tape...

No, I'm not being edgy for once. It was my honest opinion. I actually, truly dislike every movie here - in some cases because I have seen them too bloody many times because they get rolled out every year on TV or on video in planes and buses or in clubs.....

But be that as it may, Christmas movies have never floated my boat in the first place.

I put my number in with National Lampoons. I went to three stores last year before I could even find it to buy it.

I enjoy A Christmas Story immensely, but my heart just belongs to the Griswolds.

I voted for Elf because 1) it makes me guffaw and 2) I've never seen any of the others.

Agreed there. Its just a classic, period. Miracle on 34th Street and Scrooge deserves some votes though. While A Christmas Story is decent, I prefer most of the others. I also wonder why Home Alone movies have not been mentioned :)

I voted for A Christmas Story, I watch this movie every year. In fact watched it last night on TBS's 24 Hour Marathon, such a great movie. The scene where the two kids first run downstairs on Christmas morning is great, captures the feeling of it perfectly.

I love Muppets Christmas Carol as well as Scrooged.

I went with national lampoons. And if you haven't seen it, your missing out on some great holiday comedy.
