Check the X06 video.
I am really, really impressed with what I'm seeing. It might have me end up buying a 360.

I have a rule: A system needs at least 3 games I'm really interested in to warrant a purchase. Dead Rising is one, Too Human is another, and the third spot could very well be filled by this.
I have a strong hunch that there may be a price drop on the 360 sometime next year. If the console wars go the way I think they're going to, then I'll probably pick one up then.
Edit: Assassin's Creed (http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=13658&type=mov&pl=game) is looking pretty good, as well. Not sure which platform I'll pick it up for, though.

It's very pretty but in terms of gameplay, I'm not seeing anything new to be honest. It's one of the things that concrens me with the 360; from what I've seen thus far, which admittedly isn't a great deal, its just graphics graphics graphics. I might simply need to further my education here but it seems to me that two out of the three next gen consoles seem to be boasting hardware instead of gameplay, which is silly really, because consoles will never be able to compete with PCs.

The videos remind me a lot of KoTOR, which was also made by BioWare. This can only be a good thing.
And yeah, there's a lot of focus on graphics. But graphics can really add to an experience, so long as they're not the sole focus. Dead Rising just wouldn't have been the same if it had come out last generation.

Mass Effect looks like it could be stunning. Then again, marketing is all about showing strengths and letting weaknesses slide to the side.
Only time will tell if it ends up being half as good as anticipated.

Thats what it has me doing. I can't wait.

No word on it even coming out on the PC. I dont think it will, but we'll see.
And I personally think that it provides some advance RPG gameplay and vast capabilities on interaction. Basically it's a graphically superior, and superior gaming experience of KOTOR on a wider, original scale. I love KOTOR.

BioShock is definitely coming out on the PC.Ken Levine would invoke so much nerd rage if it did not release on the pc that the universe would collapse.
It's Bioware. They haven't released a bad game yet, and I'm interested to see what they do with their own Sci-Fi property.

...its just graphics graphics graphics...
Actually, that's the entire gaming industry.
It's not only something that people point out on game development messageboards. I have a few books on game development (it is my concentration for my degree) and most of them affirm that the industry tends to simply boast about graphics and, interestingly enough, the consumers go crazy and fork out their cash.
Doom would be a keen example. The gameplay was boring, the usual, nothing special. It was just an extended tech demo, really. Yet, it sold.
I'd go as far as to say HL2 is the same. I didn't even finish the game because it got so boring.
That being said; it's not the technology's fault. No, it's the publishers. They want easy wins. The progressive death of "spare room" (garage) developers (indie, if you will) and their ability to become powerful entities has really killed off a lot of innovation.
In order to get published now you have to have a team of industry vets, an idea that will sell, and have already spent money on developing your idea into a demo of the product. Even then you're probably not going to get a publisher to back you.
There's some hope. Time will tell.
