In the case wishing to play a Guardian, I think permission should be granted by Dust, since they were his creation.

I'm fine with it, as long as she PMs me first. The Guardians have a rather rigid social structure, so they have some quirks that they all share. I'd just like to convey stuff like that, if possible.

What are the present state of the Guardian in relation to the Galactic Empire and all that stuff?

To my knowledge, the Guardians are a sort of sect of the Lightside, though many are known to become Jedi. Ergo, they aren't the most supportive of the Empire. Mr. Dust can confirm/deny.

In the galaxy are they widely or moderately known?

Not at all. They're underground like most of the Pentagon.

They are even less known than the Lupines, and the Lupines are not known at all to the galaxy at large. :)

They live on an Outer Rim planet next door to the Lupine homeworld. They were at one point subjugated by the Lupines, but rose up against them. They live, for the most part, to keep the Lupines in check. In response to the bestial nature of the Lupines, their culture is extremely rigid and proper. The best analogy to describe their personalities would be British Gentlemen. They've figured out most of the Lupine's weaknesses. They also fight in a very honorable way. For example, Lupines have (last time I heard) a weakness to cortosis. As a result, several Guardians (like Dust) have it on them. They would not, however, use it against anyone other than a Lupine.
