I hope you all have a great, relaxing day of chillaxin' with family and friends.
As for myself, I'm just enjoying some martinis and sneaking into the kitchen to smell the turkey :D ^_^;

I'm about to have to use a taser on her. She needs to stay away from that turkey!
On another note, I tried to make Vesper martinis, but there's no Lillet Blanc to be had. I invented something, but it lacks a name.

I'm full of turkey, and so are my kitties too. So all is right with the world. :)

We made enough food for at least 10 people.. but we only had four eating. At least turkey reheats pretty well I guess. :)

I hope you all had a terrific holiday and either have a hangover today, or are 5 pounds heavier than yesterday. Or both. :)
Quick question: Does anyone NOT have turkey on thanksgiving?

IQuick question: Does anyone NOT have turkey on thanksgiving?
We haven't since we stopped going to my grandparents about 5 years ago. The last few years since it's just been my parents, brother, and I we usually do Cornish game hens.

We had so much food! And not just dinner food, I think I went overboard with the before dinner snack food - but everyone had a great time. Happy (belated) thanksgiving to everyone. :D

I feel like some dude at Medieval Times or something. The bird has been getting slowly disassembled all day, it's just sitting on the table and we get a little bit at a time. I think I'll take my shirt off and slather cranberry sauce on my chest. Hedonism!

I am a vegetarian, no turkey for me. :) Not that it made much of a difference this year-- my roomate was cooking a bird and the smell alone turned my stomach so that I spent most of the day out on the deck. :(
Of course I didn't really care, seeing as how I'm Canadian and Thanksgiving was last month. :D

I took the leftover Turkey carcass to work last night and left it out for my foxes. Betty came and picked at it for a few hours, but Boris never showed up. I'm guessing that he was the one that was run over, since I haven't seen him since I saw that dead fox on the side of the road.

That's a shame, Kraken :(
Between leftovers and... leftovers, I do believe I've gained a billionty pounds (further helped along by Charley's "Wow you're fat" comment last night :shakefist )
Whelp, looks like it's back to the Houston Diet.

It's for my dad's side of the family. He converted.

Converted Jews don't observe Kosher diets? That's unfortunate.

My dad's side of the family is methodist. My mom's side is Jewish. My dad is Jewish. His relatives are not.

It's understandable. When I tell that to a lot of people, they don't get it at first.
