Malick Raine

Malick's ship had landed a day or so ago and already he was practically out of money. Maybe this gambling Idea wasn't such a good one after all he thought to himself. As walked up to the bar the bartender looked at him a bit cross. Maybe it was cause of the trouble he had caused at the sabaac table the other day. Then again it could because of the high tab he was already running he really didn't know.

"Corrilion ale please."

Malick turned and scoped the room while the bartender prepared him a drink. He already needed to get of this place and back to the imps. Yet he didn't know how with the debt he owed both the bar and the house. Just maybe tonight he would meet some poor slob he could swindle or a lady with butt load of money.

"Nabooian Rose Juice," came a elagent and graceful voice from beside Malick. In a moment the barstool beside him was filled by the thin, shapely figure of a woman. Her hair was dark and braided in many odd knots and tails. Her lips were a light purple and his face was darkened under a layer of makeup. Her dress was gothic in style, composed of black and gray colors, that left her shoulders bare and had a gray fur trim around the edges. Beads adorned her hair and several silver rings were wrapped around her thin, slender fingers. She was a dark beauty and had an obvious dark and dangerous air around her, along with the sweet scent of perfume.

The bartender nodded his head and quickly filled a glass with the dark red liquid and set it down before the woman. A cred chit was produced and passed to the bartender, who was more then a little surprised to recieve his payment now instead of when the patron left. The woman smiled at the bartender and sipped her drink, slowly lifting the glass to her elagent lips and sipping the drink slowly, gracefully.

Eventually she set the glass down again, half empty now, and turned to the left, looking at Malick, "Good Evening."

"Evening."

He smiled slightly perhaps this was his chance. There was a good-looking lady who seemed to have a bit of a cash flow. The smooth swindler in Malick stepped up to bat then. He slide down the bar closer to the woman not letting his friendly smile leave his face. It had been years since Malick well formerly Jason dreggs had last tried to smooth talk. He remembered the girl to a young cadet in the Imperial academy on Balmorrea. Tela was her name he thought to bad he only used her to get keys to the officer’s lounge in the academy so him and his buddies could drink. She was smoking and after she learned what he had done never spoke to him again.

"So what brings a lady like yourself to cloud city? Name is Malick Raine by the way."

Malick reached his hand out in gesture of greeting. He wouldn't shake her hand instead he would kiss it he figured. Heck the ladies loved that mushy crap. It really didn't mean much to him he knew what his ultimate goal was here.

"Scarlet," She replied, using one of her old aliases, as she reached out with her hand to take his. She was delightfuly surprised when the man took her hand, raised it to her lips, and kissed it softly, "Why Mister Raine," She remarked, "Quite the ladies' man?" As a reward for his actions she gave him her best smile. It was a lovely smile, very lady-like with the ability to melt the fiercest man's heart, "I came to Cloud City looking for a good time, and have yet to find it. I can only visit so many casinos and fancy restruants before they all look the same. I made the mistake of going in this trip alone. Things are so much grander with a companion to enjoy it with you," Her glass was daintily picked up and placed against her lips again, "What brings you to Cloud City, Mister Raine?" She asked as she set her glass down again.

"Nice to meet you Scarlet. Some days I can be quite the ladies man."

Malick gave a nice light smile as she went on about why she was here. Malick nodded as she talked about how it would be much better if she had brought friends. He really didn't have many friends and those that he did have he didn't trust. Then again with Malick trust was always a hard thing to earn.

"As for what brings me here well that’s a long story. Lets just say trouble always finds more trouble and they ended up in troubled places. This city was meant to be a short stop on my way to return to what I know best. But a series of unfortunate events have kept me here longer then I like."

Malick thought for moment on how he should have given himself a new middle name when he had it changed. Trouble it should have been changed to. His new life was certainly turning out all wrong.

"So where does a pretty lady like yourself come from?"

"Tatooine, actually," She replied. No one would ever suspect something as beautiful as her to originate on the sand wasteland that is Tatooine. In truth she was of Dathomirian heritage, but was born on Tatooine. Well, Alexia Sturkov was born on Tatooine. The real her lived on Naboo and died on Tatooine. But that was a story even longer then Malick's. The fact that she had died once in her life was a fact that would upset most people. That's why she didn't share that information, "My mother was from Dathomir and she fell in love with a local Tatooine man. I'm told I resemble my mother and not my father. I wouldn't know. I never knew them. They left me on the doorstep of the Tatooine Red Sisters and never came back," She shrugged her shoulders in a very majestic manner, as a Queen would, and then sucked her glass dry and ordered a refill.

Kaast Dulli

Kaast Dulli walked into the Cloud 9 Bar and Grill with a phoney confidence. Dulli had heard the stories of the rough and tumble streets of Cloud City and he wasn't looking for any more trouble. Dulli found the harder he attempted to "play it cool" the more his body betrayed him. A stiff drink would settle his unruly nerves. Dulli scanned the bar and noticed an empty seat next to two humans have a casual conversation. Dulli rigidly walked over to an empty seat at the bar. He smoothly pulled out his chair, slid his hand into his jacket and reached for a death stick. Dulli lit up his death stick and told the bartender, "i'll have what she's having." Dulli looked over at the women noticed the she finished her drink and said, "Bartender, make it two."
