The hubby and I went to see this movie on Friday afternoon. I highly reccomend it to everyone who loves martial arts movies. Yes, you'll have to read subtitles, but this movie is not one you want to miss.
It was truly great, and a fitting movie for Jet Li to end his career on. :thumbup:thumbup

He's not making movies anymore? I know the ads on tv say it's his last martial arts epic, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's not making movies anymore...was Unleashed considered an epic? ;)

Honestly, I don't know. ^_^; But he does martial arts in all his movies. So... I suppose the wording is very vague.
My hubby says all Jet Li is going on to make only romantic comedies. ;)

I enjoyed this movie a lot. I looked up the main character's bio online and apparently this movie took a lot of liberties. But I thought it was a very good movie and I'd recommend it.

Talking about taking liberties with true stories...a bit of a hijack, but thought since this is a new article on the website that it was sort of appropriate.

This movie is not good and hardly worth the effort for the martial arts - no where near up to what Li fans have come to expect. The ending is more than just a bit predictable and as such is even annoying.
If you want to see decent martial arts check you brain at the door, go see or hire something that stars Tony Jaa these days - Tom-Yum-Goong is just so over the top silly but holy can the guy pull a martial arts move!
