Hello everyone!

My name is Chris McGuinn. I help run a site called Walkie-Lookie (http://www.walkie-lookie.com). We produce original hi-quality videos (lookies) for every portable video device on the market (including psp, ipod video, etc). We just released a new lookie that gives people a glimpse of the very first movie shown by means of digital projection (filmed using a handycam and you can still see the amazing image quality) and it just happened to be Star Wars: Episode 1 in Burbank, CA. Special thanks to the admin for allowing me to share this with all of you!

To view it, simply go to Walkie-Lookie and click on "Star Wars 1: The Night That Film Died" under New Releases. Hope you all enjoy this lookie and our many others!

:D That smiley always gets use in the most appropriate situations.

Looking forward to checking out the site, as soon as you get the damn thing working again, that is. ;)

edit: Looks like it's back up! Going to check it out now. :)

Sorry, but watching a crowd mill outside a theater, followed by the back of someone's head --- *YAWN*

You missed the point of it, young grasshopper. You were supposed to look at the picture quality of the film on the big screen in this little movie. :p

thanks for the compliments everyone. Never buy Maxtor harddrives. I guess theres a reason why Seagate bought them out and canned the Maxtor line lol We had it fail yesterday morning and finally brought it back online around 9pm and running like a champ.

Yeah, what we are showing is the fact that Episode 1 was the very first movie to be displayed by means of digital projection. Luckily back then, there were no laws against handcams in theaters. Plus the clarity and the sound makes for one impressive movie as you can tell by the cheers and screams of the loyal fans. I only wish I had the opportunity to be there. My bosses are extremely lucky! They have been Star Wars/Trek fans ever since their respective debutes and they thought it would be a unique experience to share a "taste" of what they saw back in 99 in Burbank, CA.

Opening day crowds for the three prequels were all like that though.

I still haven't seen a digitally projected movie yet. :cry The picture quality did seem fairly good in the 'lookie' - I enjoyed listening to everyone holler though, it reminded me of watching the movies for the first time again. :D

Which showing was it? Cause I was there for the 6:00 or so showing which I think was the second screening. Can't see the film at work, but I'll look tonight.
