I saw this trailer two nights ago with Miami Vice, and was blown away. This looks like the sci-fi movie of the year, and has an all star cast with Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Michael Caine.

Plot Summary:
In 2027, as humankind faces the likelihood of its own extinction, a disillusioned government agent agrees to help transport and protect a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea where her child's birth may help scientists to save the future of mankind.

Of course, if you watch the trailer you can figure out the plot yourself.

Maybe in Tinsel Town, but I only just heard about it. ;) I love the trailer, it hooked me in right away.

Heh, the "transport last pregnant woman to safety" smacks of the crappy, awful movie "American Cyborg: Steel Warrior."

I sure hope this one will be better.

I saw the short preview for this movie during Battlestar Galactica last night, and it certainly looks intriguing. Although Michael Caine with long hair is kinda scary :D.

Yeah, I saw this preview some time ago and it looked pretty darn good.

I saw the trailer quite some time ago and I thought it looked very, very interesting. I don't know if I'll watch it, but I'm at least intrigued by it's look and story.

I saw a TV spot for it today, that said it was "Blade Runner of the 21st century." Maybe I'm just dumb, but I found Blade Runner to be needlessly confusing until I saw the directors cut and it added two minutes to the end and it all made sense.

I saw this today - wow. It was amazing. Look for the long scenes with no camera break. :D

And, I cried, I'm not ashamed to say so. But this movie is a must see.

There was the one massive take that I'm not sure how Cuaron was able to pull off with all the guns and bombs blasting away.

I finally got to see it. I loved the movie. I found it a very moving and great story. I agree wtih you CMJ I didn't understand how Cuaron was able to do that take.

I bought it the other day. It's very nicely done. Good flick. I actually didn't think it was that absolutely amazing, but recently my perception of movies seemed to have taken a dive. It also might be one of those movies that I'll like more so after the second viewing.

I saw it today. It was pretty good albiet depressing. Although, it easily had one of the most impressive sequences through the ghetto slums, culminating with everyone stopping to look at the baby.

I honestly felt underwhelmed by this movie, considering the praise I'd heard heaped on it. The action was great, but it didn't really strike me as a tour de force.

Mm.. I enjoyed it and it was quite emotional in parts, but I felt it could have been better somehow.

I finally saw this a couple of days ago. It was good, but it felt like it grinded to a halt during certain parts. The action sequences were awesome though. :)
