View Full Version : The Official Imperial Slumber-party thread

This is the thread to plan next year's Imperial sleepover.
WHEN: Summer '07
WHERE: s'Il's house (will be a new house, for those of you who have been here before)
1) A nerf war must be had. In terms of firepower, I've got:
- 4 or 5 Nerf Mavericks
- 1 Nerf Nightfinder
- 2 lever-action dart rifles
If you've got some of your own, bring 'em. Telan and I had a small skirmish last Tuesday, and I won by shooting him on the nose. Course, that doesn't count all the other times I ninja'd my way through the house to nail 'im good, so we'll have to test each other's meddle in a grand Nerf War.
2) Lots of food.
3) Charley will probably want to take anyone who is interested to the range for an afternoon of shooting, so keep that in mind.
4) Gotta watch some Star Wars, I'd imagine.
Post up any more ideas :)

1) Dang it. I had one of them rocket nerf guns and a thirty shot gattling gun. Don't have them anymore. :( Must scrounge for weaponry.
2) I like food. I can bring about two coolers worth, I'll be driving most likely. I also have a camper for extra lodging.
3) Nice
4) Same as #3
As for other suggestions. Anyone have paintball gear? I don't have anything, but it'd be fun.
Danni says a watergun fight should also be in order.
I only have two: A CPS 1200 and a Max-D 6000. Oh, now that I think of it, we do have a load of water grenades and one of them elastic water balloon launchers.
Uhm..ultimate frisbee. PN vs all:cool
How far would the drive be from the Madison, Wisconsin area?

1) I can take care of it at Wal-mart
2) I'll be sure to pack tons of it.
3) Sounds good. Let me go to the nearest Toys'r'us and buy a talking elmo.
4) Oh yes, definitly. I'll bring a portable tape player so we can listen to all the voice recorded novels wherever we go.
5) Waterguns. Fun.
6) Slip and Slide, home edition. I dare someone to slide on the plastic before we add the water.
7) I am the king of frisbee.

Ok I'll be the designated driver. But I do get to play with your bodies as you lie in the carseats in a drunken stupor. :mischief

Umm... I call a big WTF on the above post.
You don't like the taste of alcohol or you don't react well? If you don't like the taste they have things called "girl drinks" that don't taste at all like alcohol. In fact, they taste like "soft drinks." If you don't like to drink, that's fine. You can just say that.
As for playing with drunken bodies... dear God. I'm not even touching that subject.
Luckily, I retain my ability to beat the living snot out of people when I'm dead drunk. So, I'll just keep knocking Kraken down and watching him get up if he does evil things to nice people. 550 lbs eh? You know what they say... the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Holly DOES tickle, but unfortunately her ultimate weakness is being extremely ticklish. Just ask my husband or Charley, they both know. Wait, that doesn't sound right. o_O
Instead of resorting to physical violence, I tend to rip my enemies apart with wit and humor. I am also the queen of trash talk, especially if I suck at whatever game it is we happen to be playing. Oh, and beware if I actually win - not only am I a sore loser, but I'm a terrible winner. ;)

I do laps all night long, as is required at my work site, called patrolling. Besides that, I wrestle with my friend, and it often takes about an hour before I can make him give up. But then again, he's more of a technical wrestler while I'm mainly about power and endurance. I can take what he dishes out until I see my opportunity and take it.
Oh yes, and I'm also a dirty fighter. You'd best wear a cup when fighting me. Not that someone like you has any balls to protect down there. :lol

Not Karate, my friend :) I study a healthy mixture of linear, hard martial arts with a sprinkling of circular, soft martial arts. What it boils down to is an ability to use fingers, palms, knife of the hand, fist (heart up or in any position), knuckles, forearm, elbow, head, knee, shin, knife of foot, ball of foot, heel of foot as weapons along with grappling from virtually every part ;)
When I was training in Taekwondo (I'm a 1st dan black belt in it) we would full contact spar. In Northern Shaolin we were only allowed to use the training pads but I made many arms sore from having to hold a glove against my attacks.
I've since incorporated moves that aren't allowed to be used in sparring into my practice (basically Thai moves). That includes elbow strikes, knee strikes, joint grapples designed to seperate tendon/ligament from bone (my chiropractor taught me some moves), and various other nasty things like eye snatches (cousin taught me that one).
I'm also pretty good at disarming/un-restraining.
And walking isn't exercise. Try shadow boxing for thirty minutes.
So ;) Bring it!
For spiffy factor:
My former master http://www.yhpark.com/park.htm (he taught me and about 5 other people personally at his nearby school before he moved it)

Wow Khendon you have quite a track record. It seems your not all hot air bubbles after all. But hey, find a location near S'Ils house for a few good rounds and I'd be glad to spar with you.
And Hollie, while Tae Kwon Doh treaches patience and understanding, wrestling teaches blind anger and endurance. I seriously doubt that a TKDer could take on a WREser. >D

Kraken, your silly WWE power bombs don't scare me! :) Besides, wrestling is martial arts. Just without the deadly moves or knowledge of how to fight while standing in a ringless environment.
In Pride fighting a wrestler versed a Ukranian kick boxer. The match lasted 15 seconds. The kick boxer sent a crescent kick to the wrestler's head and knocked him out on first contact. If you have no clue how to block a strike, what are you going to do?

Not to worry, Danni. I'll pick you guys some up if you don't find any by that time; though I'm sure you can. Try Target, Toys'R'Us, Walmart, Kay-Bee, or heck; try looking on Amazon :)
I would recommend the Nerf Maverick above most else, but I recently discovered another fantastic new Nerf gun that I have to snatch up. Also, Buzz-Bee toys makes two wonderful dart rifles; a lever action dart rifle and a dart shotgun - both have these awesome little plastic 'shells' that you put the dart into, and after firing the gun ejects the 'spent' shells :D

Ok, a few questions here:
#1: This isn't a hoax thread right? I mean, this is supposed to be an actual event right?
#2: I know we are still more than half a year away, but how long would this event take place, and would it primarily happen on weekdays or weekends?
#3: Driving directions. But I'll take care of that on AIM.
Hopefully gas prices will keep going down or stay down for the next year or so.

After recent events though, I will need to push the date back however. Charley and I are going to a friend's wedding in June, and then in July we're going to Nevada for our own (NOT a Vegas drive-through wedding :p).
So things are going to be insanely hectic for us.

Either way it'd be cheaper and faster to drive. This would've worked if I'd been able to make last weeks orientation.
