If you look around on YouTube, there's a video of the developer's preview presentation for Spore that was given at E3 earlier this year (some other previews as well I'm sure). It looks to have a lot of potential, and should have pretty wide appeal.

I'm not really looking forward to much, at the moment. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is probably going to wind up as just another shooter. Hellgate: London could be fun, but I just don't know yet.
I'm excited about a couple of DS games, like Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (http://ds.ign.com/articles/720/720565p1.html), Mega Man ZX (http://ds.ign.com/articles/718/718167p1.html), and Phoenix Wright: Justice For All (http://ds.ign.com/articles/708/708061p1.html).
Oh, I guess there's always God of War 2 (http://ps2.ign.com/articles/707/707129p1.html). More of the same is hardly a bad thing when it comes to God of War.

I've pretty much given up on STALKER. :(
I hope that BioShock is good, but again, I don't like building up false hope only to be disapointed.

The problem is that the gaming market is saturated with junk. Most companies don't do anything original. They just package some features and hope to make a quick buck.

It's always been like that.

I read about BioShock in the X-box magazine - it sounds really good.

Bioshock will be the reason I buy a new computer.
Also, I'm pretty interested in the new Jaws game coming out. I mean, you're a shark...and you eat people. That's so simple it has to be great :)

Wii.setMarketability(Features);
But that's a debate for another thread :)

Of course I'm excited about Bioshock, but that probably won't be out until 2008. :( I think it has the potential to be even better than SS2, if they don't mess it up. The setting is amazing, at the least.
I want to play Dead Rising, but no XBox 360. Here's hoping for a PC port.

My brother has been talking about Dead Rising for months now. I have a feeling we'll have a copy sitting in my 360's tray the day it comes out.

I'm definately excited for Okami and Bioshock. I'm more fascinated than anything else with Spore.

Hellgate: London
http://www.hellgatelondon.com/
The original pitch for this game was only eight words - 'Diablo, crossed with Half-Life, set in London.' It's being made by the guys who were responsible for Diablo 1 and 2 (the team left Blizzard to form their own company, Flagship Studio's.) I'm really looking forward to this game as it sound slike a lot of fun, and the setting is really cool.

Burning Crusade. I'd look into other games, but I wind up only playing them for like a night, and go back to farming/grinding on WoW or something.
So, definitely WoW: BC.

Definitely. The first Fable was very, very innovative but painfully short. Hopefully, with next gen technology, the next Fable will be much longer and more detailed (i.e., quests and weapons & armor lists).
Prey (http://www.prey.com/) looks pretty cool, as does Gears of War (http://www.gearsofwar.com/). Gears of War had the best showing at E3 of all the games according to Game Informer (my favorite gaming mag).

There's a game coming out for PC called Portal that I'm looking forward to. It embarrasses me somewhat to admit it, but I'm looking forward to Sonic Wildfire on Nintendo's nutty Wii console.

I was disappointed with the 3D Sonic games. I had 'Sonic Adventure 2 Battle' on the Gamecube but traded it in for the Resident Evil remake. I still think the 2D platformers are some of the best games I've ever played.
I remember when I first got my Mega Drive (Genesis in the States I think) - my grandad bought it for me, with Sonic 1 and 2. I'd played the Master System version but this was just incredible. I couldn't believe how fast that little blue spikeball could move.

Me too. I'm worried they're gonna spoil it with Shadow or that new gray hedgehog. :\

My mom bought me a Genesis with Sonic 2, Battletoads, and some Taz game. The other two games didn't get a quarter of the playtime Sonic 2 did.

The Wii might suprise some folks. Next Gen graphics: No. Big Name Publishers: Some (nothing compared to Sony and Microsoft). Unique gameplay: Absolutely. The controler is going to open a whole-new playing field.
Plus, the pricing is right on a Wii($200) compared to an XBOX 360($400) or definitely a PS3 ($600). I'm interested to see how things go.

^That game is way too fun :)
I'm waiting for an actual DS game that isn't something akin to Nintendogs or Animal Crossing that I'll actually be able to play with little to no gaming skillz ^_^;

Dead Rising is a bit tough, though :( Which makes both my brother and me frustrated. Getting through a particularly tough zone then getting killed and having to start from your last save sooo long ago is annoying.

I bought my wife a DS for her wedding gift! :
New Super Mario Brothers (http://mario.nintendo.com/) is by far the best DS game to date. It's wicked good.
You might also check out Tetirs DS and Sonic, they're pretty good.
Oh, and Trauma Center: ER is supposed to be pretty fun. My wife and I have been looking for it, but we can't ever get our hands on a copy. :)

Trauma Center is fun, my sister had it but she sold it and bought something else (I'm thinking Phoenix Wright). My brother has Mario but I think he loaned it out :|
Yes, Khendon, it does suck when you have to restart, but that is what all the wine in the food court is for :)

Yeah, Mass Effects came out strong. Gears of War blew everyone away - massively. Graphics, gameplay, physics - supposed to have a "Halo" effect on the shooter genre.
We'll see. :D

Mass Effect is supposed to bring a highly innovate, brand-new conversational system into the game for character interactions. Supposedly, you can respond much more freely and add emotion to punctuate your statements. That's the aspect I'm most interested in.
Sounds cool. :D
