Grym Kandle travels to Nar Shadda to look up long time friend Bambi Maddox, a dancer now working at Vin's Starlit Night. Upon his proposal, Maddox jumps eagerly at the chance to join Kandle and the possibilty of going to work for the Black Sun.

Bambi's search for Grym finds her a prisoner of Vigo Kasajian of the Black Sun Crime Syndicate - the same Syndicate she and Grym had once had plans to work for. Sorsha Kasajian surprises Maddox however, offering her a place in her employ. Maddox happily accepts.
