According to a post at CCnet, Darth 23 passed away recently from leukemia. I remember him mentioning that he was ill, but I don't know any other details. The CCnet link is here (http://www.coruscantcity.net/board/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=009178), and the content of the post is as follows from a Padme23:
I'm a close friend of Darth23's & I'm so sorry to share such sad news, but he has passed away.
He was diagnosed with leukemia several years ago & fought it successfully up until recently. If anyone wishes to make a donation in his memory, here are some organizations that he & his family have chosen as fitting memorials:
Green Party of USA

Truly heartbreaking. He was one of the original members of the board. I remember discussing movies and boxoffice with him all the time. While he occasionally got under my skin, I liked the guy and was upset when he basiclly abandoned out board a few years ago over a disagreement.
It's really tragic to hear that news. He was a classy guy, I hope he didn't suffer too much.

Very very sad, I remember him very well and generally liked him. I was upset when he left the board but I didn't hold anything against him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Wow...horrible news. I hope he didn't suffer and that his family is coping well. Sometimes when a seriously ill loved one passes away it's more of a relief than anything - even though it still hurts.
