Well, things around my place have been odd lately to say the least.
With the owner of the house I'm at now having gotten a new job in downtown Seattle, he doesn't want to be driving an hour and a half in traffic each way every day to go to work and back. So, he's decided to get a studio condo there, and rent out the place I'm in now.
How does this bode ill for me? I can't afford to get a place on my own right now, but I have to move rahter soon. Probably in about a month.
Fortunatley, I have a friend in San Diego who is looking to find a place to split with someone, and I've decided to take up his offer, and that brings me to my issue.
I am needing to move from Tacoma, WA to San Diego, CA, and while I don't have too much suff to move, Uhaul won't rent me a trailer because for some reason they think a '93 ford Explorer 4WD can't pull a 6'x12' trailer. I know it can, I've seen my vehicle pull a massive boat. It can do it. But, Uhaul doesn't believe me, and I'm hard-pressed to find somewhere else here that rents one-way trailers. Now, I can get a 16' truck from Penske for $260 for six days, but the car carrier costs $325 extra. Silly.
So, if anyone has any ideas of how to get my Explorer down to San Diego that might be easier and cheaper than towing it, I'd love to hear them. Estimated gas cost to drive the Explorer from here to there is about $220, just for the sake of argument.
