Jason emerged from the cave that had nearly crushed him. For five days he had dug through dirt and rock with his bare hands. His knuckles and fingers bloodied from the experience. Yet he emerged into the sweltering heat of Tatooine. After having limped down the rocky area that was suppose to be his grave he started through the Desert.
His Clothing was torn to shreds his face unshaven for weeks now. His face was also still cover in dried blood, the blood of his children. Had he been wandering in the desert for days or maybe weeks he wasn't sure. His mind was starting to shatter into peaces. His body was starting to fail him from Dehydration. He could swear he had passed the same sand dune about a thousand times but he wasn't sure the Desert looked all the same.
All he could hope for was some one to happen upon him. All he could hope was some kind folk would pity his poor imperial soul. Why had he followed his brothers out into this desert in the first place? Was it for some petty revenge, in the end all he had done was kill that which he loved the most his children. His Children who had fallen under the influence of there uncles.
"Dead all Dead!" he muttered as he limped across the sand.

He hated Tatooine. It was infested with Hutts and sand, two things he wasn't a fan of. Sand found its way into every crease and crack imaginable on your body and Slugs found a way to mess with you directly or indirectly. From the docking fees to the taxes on property, they were everywhere even if you weren't a shady sort. The ironic part of his displeasure was that the Jedi found himself on this planet more often then not for various reasons. Of course, the reason for their visit today still eluded him and Soolin wasn't talking.
Having grown tired of the heat, Vishan had cut apart one of his old shirts and made it into a rag to cover up his head. It helped allot in fending off the sun from frying his head to a crispy color, even though he looked like a freak with his mirrorshades on. Grimya, their wolf companion, still looked at him from the back of the speeder occasionally in either humor or embarrassment; Vishan wasn't sure which. Nor was he sure why they were out in the middle of the desert. Soolin had her reasons, but it would be nice to have his Master share them.
He outstretched his arms along the back of Soolin's seat and leaned forward to gauge a reaction. "So, ya still not gonna tell me where we're goin' right?"
Their relationship had jumped several levels in the last couple of years. First as Master and Padawan, then as best friends and now ... Well, there really wasn't an easy way to describe it. They weren't lovers but they were in love with one another. Their physicality together consisted of kissing and hugging, nothing more, which was fine with Vishan considering that Soolin was not only a special case in this situation, but also special to him.

:: A stray shot clipped the front of the speeder, causing Soolin to turn sharply and come to a stop. She reached for the macro-binoculars and scanned the horizon line ::

Vishan bolted to his feet and planted a foot on the dashboard to get a good look around. There were a lot of hiding places for an ambush by Sandpeople with the rock outcroppings that spread seemingly out into infinity on either side of the speeder.
"Aw hell." He pulled out his blaster and hopped out of the speeder. One fine trail of foot prints headed east with large Bantha tracks just next to it. They were several hours old. "Sandpeople all right."

Jason staggered along not realizing in the least that he was head for his own doom at the hands of the natives of this planet. In fact he wasn't even on tatooine anymore in his mind which was so jumbled at the moment only a spice junky could get something useful out of Jason's mumbling. In his mind he was back on Balamorra taking a walk through a park with his son and daughter in toe telling them stories about the old imperial heroes who now had statues in Balmorra park near the academy.
Outside his mind he walked right into the thick of a bunch of sand people shooting at something. The sand people where not paying him any attention instead they where sighting in there targets. That and if they did notice him Jason was not perceived as the eminent threat yet for he was weak looking and in a bad condition. To them eh would be easy enough disposed of after the immediate threat was taken care of.

"Get back in the speeder." Soolin replied, indicating a ridge of rock with her finger.

"A'right ..." His eyes narrowed as a flash of danger entered his mind. The Padawan saw two stray blaster bolts heading his way. He was able to roll for cover and jump into the speeder before getting hit.
"Kay ... not all o' them decided ta leave! Punch it Soolin!"

Unknowingly he smacked one of the bantha's in the Butt. In his mind he was smack the back of Little Jason's head for cussing. The Bantha reared and took off running at the sand people who where shooting. Trampling one of the sand people to death and causing the second one a bit of confusion as it looked behind him straight at Jason to hear him say.
"Don't teach your little sister words like that."
The last sand person stared at him as he pulled his rifle around. Then Jason mind jumped to new place he was on a planet in the thick of a battle. He was only twenty now watching his comrades fall by his side as he saw a rebel half dieing draw a blaster and put Jason in his sights.

:: Soolin steered the speeder behind some cover and leapt out. Her fighting pike was in motion before her feet touched sand ::
