Hah, and you'd think that would draw him back, wouldn't cha'?

But, no, he's not around.

Boo!

I was hoping my Imperial 'benefactor / mean-person-who-takes-my-money' would be able to actually be USEFUL.

What ever happened to Tear? I remember reading his beautiful writing and tales--then he just disappeared.

I'm saddened that I never got to encounter him with any of my characters. Sucks :(

.....Holy crap I just sounded like Si'l. I think there's something wrong with me or the mountain air is messing with my head.

I did go from 1200m to 4500m and back down again in a day. :)

yes, that would actually get you killed. An ascension of 6,000 feet requires a few days of acclimation for safety.

That's why climbers will stay on lower mountains near the mountain they want to summit. That way they get used to elevation. They then get flown out to the mountain and begin their journey. Fun, fun.

If you live in a high elevation area and then go down to a low elevation area without acclimating your blood will congeal :) People who have this problem tend to get rushed to the hospital and blood thinners are used.
