I think this is a very, very good idea :)

Great work.

Oh, can I be head of R&D, I took over for Kracken in the Sov. You're still the uber-boss though. :D

Yup. Most ships of the fleet can be used and not all are listed here. The few which are restricted generally have giant lazers attached or some other form of superweapon.

^ Which makes sense, since only the big fleet commanders would have access to such things.

No one ever gave me one of those. And I'm an admiral for crying out loud.

*AHEM*

Anywho, Travis is on the money. We're pretty open about what is used as long as the common sense and fair play rules are not violated. The list here isn't comprehensive, just some of the more common warships seen and support vessels seen in a fleet.

Question: Since we are picking up where Endor left off at, are historical EU vessels still in play? Like Iron Fist, Lusankya, the four Soveriegns, Reaper, etc?

Right! Found it.

I started doing some ship-based pages on the wiki a while back, but was focussing more on the Rebel stuff than the Imperial. I'm gonna try and get going with that again; in that vein, I have a few queries, if that's okay. :)

Enforcer-class Cruiser (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Enforcer-class_picket_cruiser) - They're nifty little ships - basically, its a hollowed-out Interdictor Cruiser, with extra stuff bolted on. However, in EU it was developed by the Pentastar Alignment (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Pentastar_Alignment), which didn't exist until after Endor. Is there an alternate backstory? Are we just attributing it's development to Sienar (as a follow-on from the others?).

Also, is the Vindicator-class (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Vindicator-class_heavy_cruiser) - upon which the Interdictor and Enforcer cruisers are based - in play at all? Based on the Wookieepedia page, it has the potential to be a smaller (and cheaper) alternative to the Victory in outlying systems.

Sovereign-class Star Destroyer (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sovereign-class_Super_Star_Destroyer) - Again based on EU, the ship isn't developed yet. Is there an alternate backstory for it, or is it just accidentally included from a pre-Reset list?

Aurora- and Dominator-class Star Destroyer - Can't seem to find stats type threads about either of them, in the lab or otherwise. Another pre-Reset hold-over, or are they actually in use at the moment?

Rapier-, Response-, Demolisher-, Seydlitz-, Curiassier-classes - As above.

Other ships for potential consideration / inclusion in this list:

- TIE Aggressor (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE_Aggressor)
- TIE Oppressor (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE_Oppressor)
- TIE Hunter (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE_Hunter)

- Gladiator-class (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gladiator-class_Star_Destroyer) "Star Destroyer"
- Tector-class (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tector-class_Star_Destroyer) Star Destroyer

Edit:

Question: Since we are picking up where Endor left off at, are historical EU vessels still in play? Like Iron Fist, Lusankya, the four Soveriegns, Reaper, etc?

What he said.

Just a tic, I will try to dig up the other ship designs and throw them in the lab. As for the others, Vindicator is fair game. I'm surprised I forgot to throw that one in the list.

TIE Aggressor never really left experimental phase and was one of the stepping stones to the TIE Avenger. It'd be extremely rare to see them anywhere in service.

Both the Hunter and the Oppressor are very, very rare craft. They could be used, but only a few were ever produced. Not very viable as main-stream fighter and bombers.

The Gladiator-class you mentioned is the Demolisher-Class.

Ahhh, I see - the first canon ship was called Demolisher...gotcha.

I'll have a furtle through those specs, and get some wiki action going. In that vein, one of the big difficulties in filling in wiki pages is finding all of the stats. But since we seem to be moving away from the bean-counting aspect to things, a lot of the information that some ships have - cargo tonnage, hull ratings, and that sort of thing - can probably be summed up with "has heavy armour" in the description, or whatever.

As an example, here is a full set of stats for an MC40a Star Cruiser (http://www.sw-fans.net/wiki/index.php?title=MC40a_Star_Cruiser), and here is an abridged set for a specific, individual craft (http://www.sw-fans.net/wiki/index.php?title=Valiant). Would providing the latter amount for all ships be acceptable on the wiki?
