Last week, this was available online in French and when I saw it then, I decided that this looks like it will do for the Bond franchise what Batman Begins did for the Batman franchise.

I've always thought Daniel Craig looks great as Bond and this teaser trailer really works. Love the opening dialogue. Check it out:

Ahh, back to the gritty noir, misogynistic Bond that I remember :love

Merged together the two threads about this movie. :)

I was dubious about Craig being cast at first, but now I am really looking forward to this too.

Holy hell, Daniel Craig has the most cold-fish eyes that I've ever seen. If anybody in Hollywood has ever had the look of "Hey I've killed people before and I'm more or less okay with it", then my hat tips to Mr. Craig. That is one scary looking guy.

VERY nice. :D:thumbup

The car crash at the end is fantastic. *shivers* And his eyes are so... blue.

That was one damn good trailer. I loved Brosnan and was sad to see him go, but I think that Craig is going to do a good job with this reboot. I think the Franchise is in good shape for the next few films.

I'm too tired to go into great depth and I'm about to go to bed but this film was easily as good as I'd hope it would be. For the first time in a long time, instead of "That was a good Bond film," people will be able to say "What a bloody excellent film that was!"

Bond is back.

I've heard nothing but raves, and supposedly Craig is outstanding as Bond.

One good comparison I heard is that since Batman and Superman both got such good 'reinventions', they decided to do one for Bond as well, and apparently they got it right on. Can't wait to see this.

I can say with a straight face that this is the best Bond movie ever made. Absolutely perfect.

I found the film wasnt as good as id hoped. The first 20 mins is the best and after that it seemed to drag. Thought the film was pretty predictable. Craig I thought was superb. Not sure it felt like a bond film - it sort of felt like a completely new film and the lead happened to have the same name. I liked that he was hard and tough. Didnt get everything right but kept going and going.

Didnt really think much of the bad guy. All in all the acting was very good but felt the story wasnt up to much. Missed the old Q scenes. I have no doubt Craig will do more bond films and they will be excellent.

Have you read the novels, Oriadin? This is the most consistent film to date in terms of Ian Fleming's design.

No, ive never read any of the bond books. Are they any good? I read a review the other day that said the films gone back to its roots more this time around.

They're more about dark characters, realistic tradecraft, and aristocratic lifestyle than gadgets, babes, and explosions.

I saw this on Saturday and I absolutely loved it. I didn't like the man with the loud laugh behind us that would laugh at inappropriate times, however.

Dame Judi Dench was fantastic as always, and I loved the 'more realism, less flashy gagets.' :thumbup :thumbup

This is the strongest Bond flim in terms of being an actual film and not a male wet dream spectacle. It was the best action movie I'd seen in a long time.

Saw it with relatives Thanksgiving night. One of the best bond movies ever in my opinion, and one of the best action movies I've seen in a while.

One question though. Who is Mr. White, and what is he connected to? Is he a part of the terroist organization, or did the CIA pull a double-cross and take back their money?

I enjoyed it, and at the same time found it also very, very dull at many points. Not the best of the Bond series, and an adequate action movie, but, didn't get four stars in my book. And that's not for lack of gadgets and Bond-esque stuff, either, I just wasn't totally engrossed in this one.
