I know it can be done (or, I HOPE it can be done) but how does one put a movie onto an iPod? I read a how-to online and it only confused me more.

Has anyone ripped a movie from DVD and put it on their iPod, and if so... help!

http://arstechnica.com/guides/tweaks/ipod-video.ars/6 - first hit on Google.

When it comes to watching movies on a tiny screen, I like to use my DS, so I can't offer any firsthand help. :p

I've done it. The iPod wants .mp4 format so you have to convert to .mp4, then used iTunes to upload it. Not the easiest of processes tho.

Get a GBA flashcard like the Play-Yan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Play-Yan) or similar device.

Ok I just spent like 2.5 hours downloading programs and trying to set it up - only PROBLEM is that the meGUI program available is a different/newer version than the one the tutorial is written for.

So I muddled through, finally got to the end, hit 'start' and instead of encoding it sat there for a minute, and then closed.
