Allegiance: Hunters although most hunters walk alone they do have guilds one big one is know as Hunters dot net.
Archtype: (or classes of the hunter) Judge, he will judge those for there sins and decide an exceptable punishment. Basically judge, jury and exicusioner.

Distinguishing Marks: None really since he has to know how to dispear from time to time and take over a new persona. Although as of late he is mostly distinguished by the fact that he where preist clothing and a long black trench coat. He does have a limp in his right leg but he tries to hide it as best he can.
Perception:
To most humans he appears to be a humble preist who is quite. To other Hunters he is an arogant Basterd who thinks he can take on the world all by himself. Also to hunters and Kindred he seems to think God is on his side. To kindred for the most part he is an annouce that must be delt with from time to time. To werewolves he is to stuck in his ways and unwilling to accept that some supernatural beings are not evil. He has had no interaction with mages so they hold no regard to him. Demons hate him for how many he has excorcised. Wraiths pay him no attention since he really doesn't do anything to them.
Personality:
Amongest hunters he is know for his skill in the hunt, his sometimes arrogant attitude, and his pompous attitude towards those willing to help him. To Kindred and any other supernatural power he is know also for his skill in the hunt, his uncanny ability to find there havens, this strange presence about him as if god is actually on his side, and his unwillingness to listen to there side of the story. To humans however he is seen as quite, humble, and charatible.
History:
An orphan from birth, he lived out most of his younger years in a orphanage in canada. In this orphanage he met the love of his life a girl who was so vastly different from him yet could get him to do almost anything. At about the age of 14 a man came to the orphanage and told him of his real parents and that they still actually lived and that he was givin up for a reason. The reason drove him and his girlfriend named Jenny to run away from the orphanage. They traveled through out canada for a couple of years until they settle in montreal with a new family. This family was ran by a man names devon whiteford who claimed to be a vampire and every one who was under his roof was his brood. For the most part the life was about drugs and big parties. Upon reaching the age of sixteen in the house is when you got join the brood and become a vampire. Jenny being a few months older then John turned sixteen first. she was pulled to the secret room in the house where she was turned. John thought it was all just a game and since he saw no reall violence with in the house he thought everything was pretty much normal. A few nights later after Jenny's turning they went for a late night walk in the park.
Thiswalk would be John's first time see the world for what it truelly was. As they walked and talked a being jumped out the bushes (resembling a wolf) and attacked Jenny. John was to scared to move as he saw the woman he loved getting ripped apart by this monster. The monster then turned and looked at him with a wolfish grin. It told him to run as far away as he could for the people he lived withs days of reckoning where at hand. The wolf being told him that there where sutch things as vampires, demons, and werewolfs. John ran from there never to return to the house instead he wondered for many years cursing god anything holy.
By the age of 18 he boarded a ship headed for italy as a cabin boy of sorts. When reached Italy he found his place in the city of rome. He found god there once again and took on the name John Barton of a friend he had met there who died. He joined the church and moved through there ranks faster then most and was assigned a special project to hunt down and kill the supernatural beings in the world. He became what the church calls a renagade priest or an exorcist, One the church denies exist but in fact funds. He also made a personal sacrofice to god he traded Jenny's place in hell for his spot in heaven. Basically he choose to be punished for her sins and his own just so she could have the place she deserved in heaven because of this developed some unque hunter abilities.

Unlike most hunters John has this ability that seems like holy water or the blood of christ runs through his veins. As such he his protected from being turned. Because of his faith most Vampires tend to find it hard to take a sip of his blood but strong vampires are able resist is potent blood better then most.
