Jonas was born on September 5, 1956. He was the runt of a litter of ten wolfcubs born in a kennel in a zoo, place unknown. He was raised in the natural habitat for several years, not knowing his own intelligence until a little after his First Change, which occured in the summer of 1969.
Getting out of the habitat, the Garou that is now Jonas was almost arrested for indecent exposure. But a man came and explained that the child was a "special child" out of an insane asylum nearby. This man was another Garou, a Stargazer by the name of "Quicksilver." Quicksilver gave Jonas a human name to go by to make his transistion into modern society easier. Raising and training Jonas was difficult. It is from Quicksilver that Jonas learned all about the Garou, what they do, and how everything balances out. And how his tribe, the Bone Gnawers, were based all on survival. He also learned Kailindo from Quicksilver as well. Once armed with his natural talents that come from his birth, his auspice, and his tribe, and the knowledge of the ins and outs of modern society, Jonas was ready to be released into the wild.....or better still, the cities.
Once ready, Jonas entered modern mortal society sometime late in the turbulent '70's. Since then, Jonas has moved from city to city as he pleased, settling for the last decade or two in Chicago. Jonas stayed for the wonderfully windy weather, the people, and most of all, the great food. And it is a good place to work as an informant, selling what information he knows for good prices, to up the chances of utmost survival.
The other Bone Gnawers know him as "Mutt."
