Physical Appearance: In spite of her petite stature, Penny is difficult to miss. She dresses in casual but bright clothing, often purchased second-hand or emblazoned with some 'green friendly' slogan. Her wrists and fingers are almost always covered in all sorts of handmade jewellery. She fits almost perfectly into the tomboy niche, rarely seen without combats and backpack. Her hair is often the physical feature that people remember that most, as it is dyed a very strong red.
History: Born in Minnesota to a family of wolves, Penny was taken away from her birth-family at an early age and spent her early years living with a family of human researchers, who knew nothing of her unusual lineage. Though she quickly became accustomed to her new surroundings, it was only a matter of years before she was 'freed' by a wolf who turned into a man, who returned her to her natural surroundings and taught her the ways of the Garou.
As she grew, Penny came to realize that the reason she had felt so at ease in the home of the researchers was because she shared their humanity. She moved between her pack and the human world with increasing ease and soon came to understand the necessity of being active in both.
Personality: Penny views life as a constant challenge. She isn't happy to sit back and allow it to wash over her passively. She has to be up and active, doing everything she can. Energetic and positive, she can be incredibly tenacious when she puts her mind to something – particularly a cause for which she feels strongly.
Perception: Penny's passionate interest in ecology and the unification of the Garou Nation are character traits which are likely to rub some Garou the wrong way. Though Fianna. Bone Gnawers and Glasswalkers are likely to take well to her, many other tribes may see her support of the humans as a slight against Gaia. Red Talons, and some lupus bred Garou, in particular may see her immersion in human cultural as a betrayal of her true nature. She is well-known amongst the Garou community, either as a much-appreciated ally and contact or as a long-time irritant. The majority of humans are likely to see her as fun and out-going, and admire the philanthropic side of her personality.
Additional Information: Like all Garou of her tribe, Penny longs for balance and the restoration of Mother Gaia. As such, she is an active proponent in trying to unify the tribes of Garou under one cause. Conservation of the natural world is also very important. Penny has travelled across much of America and Canada in her efforts to stop the nefarious Pentex.
Penny still maintains contact with both the pack she was born to and the researchers who removed her from the wild, the latter of whom she holds no ill feelings for. Of course, the researchers have no idea that Penny is anything other than a young woman with a dedication to ensuring the survival of the wolf population of Minnesota. Penny uses her connections with the researchers to ensure that any Garou born into the wolf population are well cared for and given a fair and equal opportunity to see both homid and lupus societies.
