I just played tried them both out and I have positive impressions all around. Download Mirrors:

Tomb Raider: Legend - 1 (http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/tombraider/), 2 (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=8620), 3 (http://www.3dgamers.com/dlselect/games/tombraider7/trl_demo_standard.zip.html)

Condemned makes heavy use of the various screen filters, which may bother some people, but I believe you can disable them. I like the extreme emphasis on ammo conservation, and the ability to pick up random objects and use them as weapons. You should be able to carry both a gun and a melee weapon at the same time, however. It's pretty cinematic, but I've heard the full game is kind of short.

Tomb Raider: Legend really impressed me. This is the direction the series should have taken a long, long time ago. If you've ever enjoyed a Tomb Raider game, you owe it to yourself to check out Legend. It controls much more like the Prince of Persia games and looks stunning for a PS2 port.

I was contemplating downloading the latest TR game, since I enjoyed 1 and 2 and it was said that the controls were no longer awful.

I hadn't heard of Condemned at all. Is it based on the FEAR engine?

I really enjoyed the Tomb Raider demo. Well, saying that I haven't gotten past that weird block puzzle yet, but all the leaping about and swinging on vines is great fun.

I bought Tomb Raider Legend last week and I am having lots of fun with it. The puzzles are onces I can figure out and I like the part we hear int he demo that explains things were probably a lot easier when the places were built instead of now. One thing that definietly helps on the PC version is mapping the Interact button to the middle mouse button so when she loses her grip on edges you can recover easily.
