Jaime - I have to say the fact that you've been out of the loop for 20 years as well sort of... was very unexpected.

Its like in another thread where I roleplayed that James got accidentally shot and then Charley roleplayed that Cirr got shot too. Sort of like copying. ;)

Serena's excuse for knowing nothing is that she's been on a planet hiding out with no technology whatsoever.

However, in the two weeks since she emerged, she's done her best to be informed.

No, not really unexpected. It's more 'gap knowledge'. The last time Jaime + crew were in Known space was 10 years ago. They sort of know the gist of that time but details? Nope. She knows there was some sort of battle station near Endor and there was a battle there, but I dont think she should know much in all honesty.

Plus also that's one reason they need a slicer, their long range comms suck

It just caught me flat footed, because the reason we were doing this thread in the first place was so that Jaime could put Serena in touch with the 'right' people.

Now it turns out she doesn't know any of the right people. :\

Thankfully Byl is there too, so it's all good and workable.

If you want to. If you don't, like I said, happens that Byl is along and he can do that.

It would make more sense for her to be a bit more informed about the Empire, however. It really doesn't make much sense to me for a military general to leave a promising (well, before the Emperor went all 'girls suck') career and disappear. Especially if she believes that the Jedi *did* turn against the Republic. You'd think she'd be all behind a government that took care of a problem like the Jedi so readily and quickly.

Now, if she leaves because of the atrocities such as the Death Star and such that occur later, or because she's forced out due to the "girls suck" policy, that makes a bit more sense. To me. That's all.

But of course, your character, and if you want to continue as is we can certainly manage. :D

Jaime abandoned the Empire when they were one step ahead of arrest and presume execution as Palpatine / Vader consolidated power. I'm presuming that's where most of her crews came from

Lets also say she's not being forthcoming yet as to what she knows about the Alliance or with how much contact she's had with them. Or what she really knows. But the Younglins is I think an acceptible knowledge gap.
