I think they could have done more, if they'd shortened the battle, but even then it's all so true. I especially like the part about barging into the guys house, him threatening to call the cops, then doing nothing of the sort :)

Ah, an accurate representation of the miserably boring combat system. I loathe FF's combat system.

Combat in FF7 was either incredibly frustrating or incredibly easy. There didn't seem to be a happy medium. You either spent ages hammering away at a monster, or it died with one 9999 hit from the Ultima Weapon.

Still, I can't deny my love for it :D

That and there was very little strategy compared to say, FF Tactics, KotOR or even better, Betrayl at Krondor. I loathe the whole "line up and fight!" paradigm.
