My dad was so bummed yesterday, The Andy Griffith Show is still one of his favorite TV shows. And as a little kid, I just loved The Incredible Mr. Limpet.

I just found out that not only did Barney Fife die this weekend, so did the man AKA The Old Man in A Christmas Story and the original Kolchak...Darren McGavin. What a sad weekend for classic actors. :(

The first thing my mom mentioned on the phone this morning was that Don Knotts died. He was a funny, goofy guy and even though he's been out of the limelight for some time, he will be missed.

Wow, Darren McGavin died as well!? What a sad weekend for Hollywood. He's been in a lot of things, but yeah, he was probably known best for being "the old man"... I thought he was really good in "The Natural", too... Too bad. :(
