View Full Version : An Unwelcome Return

Kyle Krogen
Jan 25th, 2006, 04:25:07 PM
When the light streaks by and the only sound is the humming the engines. Here one can relax and contemplate life. For Kyle Krogen he found his recent life had been a lie. He had dropped his jedi oaths and become a mercenary working both sides of the war, just for the money. But the impeding darkness in the galaxy had convinced him that galaxy needed him more then he needed the credits. He resurrected his oaths, to protect the innocent, defend the defenseless, and to enforce the laws of a just government. He once again was a guardian of light and righteousness; no longer would the darkness or lies decide his course. From now on he would battle the forces of darkness, instead of being employed by them…

The Lightsabre pulled gently out of hyperspace above the grey sphere of Coruscant, the city planet. “Come in, unidentified vessel. This is Watch Tower sixty-three Please submit your identification codes,” crackled a voice over the comm unit. Kyle sighed and punched in the landing codes given him by his imperial contacts, “Everything checks out, welcome to Coruscant Mister Fhen.” The man said, using the alias attached to the code. Kyle closed the connection and grabbed his control yoke in both hands and navigated the x-wing down towards Coruscant’s metal surface.

Fifteen minutes later the Lightsabre set down on the pad his imperial contacts had set aside for him, a few miles from their headquarters—No sense in making it look like they were weak enough to be hiring a rogue pilot, right? Kyle popped the cockpit cover open and climbed out. He removed his flight suit to reveal the clothing he wore under it. He wore a black shirt, pants, and boots. He pulled his helmet off and attempting to fix his messy blond hair. He gave after awhile and stored the items in his ship. He pulled a black nerf hide jacket out and slipped it on. He then checked the surrounding area to make sure no one was looking and then pulled two long silver pole-like objects from a secret compartment in the cockpit and slipped on of them into his pant pocket and the other into his coats inside pocket. Normall he didn’t carry both of his lightsabres on him at one time, but he had a feeling he might be needing them, or that he won’t be making it back to the Lightsabre anytime soon, so he might as well take them with him.

He took a turbo lift down from the raised platform he had landed on and emerged on ground level. He pushed through the crowds and towards the building his imperial contacts use. It nearly an hour for him to reach the dull grey building that didn’t sport a name on its side, or on a map. Kyle walked around the building to the back door and knocked on it softly. A hatch opened and a pair of eyes looked out at Kyle, “Oh, you. Back so soon?” There was a chuckle and then the door slid open to show the rest of the imperial as he returned his blaster to its holster.

Kyle pushed past him and headed deeper into the building, up a flight of stairs, and pausing in the doorway of the imperial officer’s office. There was another man in the room with the officer. “So Jensen, what are you going to do about the rogue in the slums who’s killing our men?” The other man asked the officer, “Nothing right now. I don’t have the resources or men to search every hiding spot down there. It would take months and we would loose even more men,” Jensen said, turning away from the man and noticing Kyle in the doorway, “Ah, Krogen. You arrived just in time,” Jensen looked sidelong at the other man for a moment, winked, and then returned his gaze to Kyle, “We’ve had a problem in the slums, a little miscreant has been attacking imperials down in the O’phex Slums. We need you to get down there and put this individual down,” Jensen finished, looking quite smug for how deftly he thought he had handled the situation.

“No,” Kyle answered.

“No haggling here, Krogen. I’m not going to raise the payment.”

“I don’t think you understand, Mister Jensen. I don’t want to take the job, in fact…” He paused, mustering his courage for what he would say next, “…I am here to tell you I am resigning.”

“Resigning?” Jensen asked, clearly confused.

“Yes. I will not longer be accepting jobs or contracts from you or any other imperial force. I am my own man now.”

Jensen rose to his feet, “Don’t be a fool, Krogen. What could possibly change your mind from ‘assisting’ your government?”

“The fact that I serve no government, Mister Jensen, and that the present one is corrupt and evil. I march under a different flag now. So, I bid they farewell.” Kyle said and turned to leave, but the other man was pulled a blaster from his coat and aiming it at Kyle. He pulled the trigger and a red bolt lashed out towards Kyle; who spun around, pulling something from his pocket. A beam of purple energy shot from his hand and reflected the energy bolt. The man who had fired looked down to see a smoking hole in his chest. He tried to say something, but his mouth only opened and closed, no words coming out. He slipped from his chair and landed on the floor and never moved again.

“Krogen, you idiot!” Jensen screamed, rushing to the side and activating the alarm mounted on the wall, and then pulled his own weapon out to bear on Kyle. But no sooner had he aimed the weapon then he found himself falling, his body severed in half at the waist, and Kyle standing beside him, glowing blade in hand, “I’m sorry Mister Jensen. Your death is not your fault, but your government’s. Go now to peace and may god have mercy on your soul…” He said, quietly to the now lifeless husk that had been Corporal Ivan Jensen.

The sound of heavy boots brought Kyle back to the present. He ran out the door and came face to face with a group of armed men, “Open fire!” All the men leveled weapons and opened fire. Kyle jumped high into the air, kicking off a wall and landing behind the soldiers. Dropped low and removed two of the men from their knees. But even before they hit the ground, Kyle’s other sabre appeared in his left hand, a vibrant silver beam humming softly. He rushed through the air, removing limbs and heads from the soldiers in a series of intricate spins and flips. He threw himself down the stairs, throwing a soldier over the rail with the force as he moved. He came to the bottom and faced the door guard; who was leveling a disruption rifle on Kyle. Kyle threw his sabre, cleaving the weapon in half and removing the man’s arm. He finished the man up with a blow to the chest. He pulled his thrown lightsabre back to his hand, deactivated both weapons, and returned them to their hiding places.

He exited the building and headed for nearest turbo lift and headed down towards the O’phex Slums. The man down in the slums had caught Kyle’s interest. He knew he would need allies in his war against the empire and the sith, and this rogue sounded like the kind of person who offer assistance to the war. Now the tricky part would be just to find him and after that to convince him to join Kyle in his crusade. One step at a time, Kyle told himself, as the turbolift door opened and he stepped out and into dim lighting of the O’phex Slums.

The alleyways of the O'phex Slums were littered with dumpsters, garbage disposals, and burn barrels with bums huddled near them. In the deepest part of the slums, where the darkness clung to the area, a man in bandages was sifting through the recently disposed food, in hopes of finding a meal. He wore a white dress shirt and black slacks, now dirty and dingy. The black longcoat, a little tattered, flowed in the wind, the hat tipped low to hide part of his hideous visage. The man whose very namesake clung to his body found a package of food that was unopened, and began tearing into it, eating past the slightly expired parts. The rasp of his voice didn't even echo through the alleyway as he spoke to himself.

"Mmmm, brazed beef. Wonderful."

Kyle looked around the dim under city that spread out before him. He fought hard to stop himself from gagging on the stench that rose from a nearby garbage heap and the group of people living in it. The underworld had changed greatly since Kyle had grown up down here. He found his feet walking on their own, treading familiar passages, passing the remains of old gang graffiti on the walls. He walked for a good amount of time until he stopped in front of a door. Still visible on the door was the image of a Slashrat painted in black standing on a slash of bloody red. Kyle raised his hands and touched the image and felt the memories welling up inside of him. He remembered when he had first seen these doors, back when he was a dirty street rat with nowhere to go. He had joined a gang by the name of the "Bloody Slashrats" and he had risen through the ranks till he third in command of the gang. He had been big for his age and could crack someone's head open with a single blow from his wicked club.

He felt something wet tricked down his cheek and found that he was on his knees, crying. He had caused so much pain and suffering on the denizens of the O'phex Slums and the levels above. How could he ever make amends for his crimes and his guilt. Surely he couldn't repay the citizens of Coruscant for being that selfish, brat of a child that had robbed them, killed their family members, and burned their homes to the ground just so he could live another day.

He rose to his feet, wiped the tears from his face, and slammed his fist against the door. He would do something for these people. He would fight for their independence from the tyrant government of the empire, but even then his debt would not be repaid, nor could it ever be.

Kyle turned away from the door and reached out with the force. After a few moments he found what he was looking for; a faint, hidden force signature radiating from someone nearby. The vast amount of life between him and the individual made it hard to be sure where he was, but he found that as he walked towards it that the signal got clearer and clearer. Eventually he stumbled upon a man standing next to a garbage can; eating something, half moldy, to his hearts content.

There was no doubt to it all; it was this man that Kyle had been following like a homing beacon. Kyle started forward, but paused. How should he approach this man? Kyle looked down at his clothing. It was made of a fine black fabric and his shirt alone was worth more then all the clothing worn by the man before him. So much for blending in... Kyle thought and walked off towards the man, "Good eating, eh?" He asked looking down into the trash can and remembering the days he had scrounged for food in the garbage.

Bandage felt something strange, like someone watching him, just before he heard the words. Not too suprised, Bandage turned around, his wrapped visage visible in the low light. Wiping his mouth, he laughs a rough, short laugh, before answering.

"Well, it's not Pierre Skyrocket's, but it serves for nourishment...."

The mention of Pierre Skyrocket's was probably not the best idea. It was a restaurant of well-repute on the upper side of Coruscant. The food there was not too expensive, and they had the best selections of meals and meats. High quality at good prices....

His coat, slightly dirty and tattered but for the most part intact, fluttered behind him. The wind felt good on what was left of his skin. Bandage looks back to the stranger. He heard a little, voice in his head. It had no real sound to it, but it carried some small information to him.

*Kyle Krogen*

Bandage spoke thoughtfully.

"You wouldn't happen to be Kyle Krogen, would you?"

Kyle looked up from the trash can; he had been poking through for the last five seconds, at the man with a look of surprise on his face. How could this man know who he was? An imperial perhaps, or something else, "Uh, er, Yes. I am Kyle Krogen," He said, standing up from the can and looking the man over carefully for any detail he might have missed, such as an insignia or concealed weapon, but found none, "How is it you know my name, strange?"

It was possible that the man had taken part in the gang war nine years ago and recognized Kyle's face, despite its changes. It was impossible for Kyle to even try and recognize the man's face under all the bandages he wore and what he could see only revealed charred skin.

Bandage shook his head, smiling.

"A little birdy told me..."

He took a few more bites of the food, before tossing it behind him, back into the dumpster. As he did this, he got a feeling to him.

Force sensitive....has to be.....

Focusing on Kyle, Bandage realized that he was wielding at least one lightsaber, if not two.

"So, what side are you on, Mr. Krogen?"

Kyle Krogen
Jan 30th, 2006, 09:35:26 PM
Kyle slowly folded his hands together behind his back and looked out at Bandage, still examining him, "What side am I on, I was hoping the little birdie would have told you that too, would have saved us some time," He smiled a little, "I'm on the side of peace, life, and justice, not tyranny, hate, or destruction. You could align me with the Rebel Alliance, but I am in fact a member of a group of much higher standing then the empire itself. I am a warrior of light," He paused, mostly for dramatic effect," I am a Jedi."

He strode forward, pulling one of his hands out and offering it to the man, "Kyle Krogen, at your service."

Bandage nodded slightly, then turned back to sift through the garbage, looking for more food.

"Well, that's good. You could say that I am as well.....well, I can't find my master at the moment....So I'm kinda stuck here. And with no real home, my original job gone, and the Empire thinking that I am dead, I have no money. So, really, instead of a Jedi, I am more or less....."

He paused for dramatic effect.

"....a bum. And are you sure you want to shake hands with me? I did just dig in the garbage, and am still doing so. Sorry, but I'm incredibly hungry...."

Kyle Krogen

"Eh, no worries there," Kyle said as he shook the man's hand, "I've been there and eating garbage is nothing new to me. Yeah, I lost my master too, but not in the same way as you. I know where my master is," He pointed upwards with his finger, "He's up there, right now. Fighting the gods for possession of the holovid controller," He looked back down at Bandage, who was digging through the garbage again, "If your really that hungry then why don't I accompany you to the nearest cafe for a warm meal and all the coffee you can drink," He really just wanted a reason to spend all the credits the empire had put in his private account before they discovered the mess topside and closed the account, "Whatcha say… er, I didn’t quite catch your name. What was it again?”

Bandage turns to Kyle.

"That would be great! I haven't had a good cup of orange juice or joe in ages!"

And after the revelry of dancing, fresh food stopped playing in his head, Bandage spoke.

"Oh, how rude of me! My apologies. One has to be cautious in these parts....The name's Bandage."

As Bandage wipes his hands of the garbage, he gets a notion into his head. It was more like a not-so-vivid vision in his mind's eye, but it was still there. This one had worked for the Empire, but in this vision, it wasn't very apparent. He was hacking them apart. And he was in....yep, the exact same clothing as he was wearing now. Maybe a uniform. If this vision were true, it could've happened at any time, but Bandage felt that it had just happened. Looking at the vision, playing it over once more in his mind, he noted a datapad that had the time and the date on it. It was a little over thirty or fourty-five minutes ago, this very day. So he had just killed several officers.....good for him and them. Hopefully they wouldn't cancel his credits before Bandage and he got a good meal or at least a cup of O.J. to go.

"Well, let's get going, before they cancel your account....I'd like to at least get a cup of O.J. to go before the heat is on."

Bandage knew that he had said too much, or had revealed that he knew, though he had only just met the young man, but Bandage simply held no regard for the notion.

Kyle looked puzzled for a moment, but quickly hid it from his face, although his eyes still portrayed it, "Well, then. Let’s go," He said and they started for the nearest turbo lift. The doors opened with a not so soft hiss and the two jedi entered. As the lift ascended; Kyle puzzled over how Bandage seem to know so much about him, yet Kyle had never met him in his life. He would have to ask sometime, he just didn't feel like doing it right now.

The lift opened and the two walked out onto the surface of Coruscant. Well, technically it wasn't the planet's surface, but rather the top level. The two walked down the street, getting odd looks from just about everyone they passed. Kyle wasn't too odd to look at, a little dirty from traveling through the slums, but Bandage looked like something that crawled out of the grave and started walking. Kyle ignored the looks and stepped into a local cafe with bandage right on his heels. He ordered a cup of coffee, a glass of orange juice, and a couple air cakes. Kyle pulled out his cred chit that was tied into his imperial account and frowned when it didn't work. He paid with a few credits instead.

The two found a table outside and sat down to enjoy their drinks and air cakes. "So, how long have you been here on Coruscant, Bandage?"

Bandage
Feb 11th, 2006, 02:01:20 AM
Bandage took a large sip from his orange juice.

"I've been here almost all my life, save for college. I travelled abroad, doing some studying..."

Scooping up a piece of air cake, Bandage began eating heartily. He got the food half-chewed before looking back up at Kyle.

"How 'bout you?"

Kyle Krogen
Feb 21st, 2006, 05:08:17 PM
"I lived on Coruscant most of my childhood. I was a gangster, stealing and killing is what I did best. I used what little force I knew to increase my own reputation and fame in the criminal world. I ran into Nathan De'gad, a jedi, in the lower levels and he took me in like a lost son and became the only father I ever had. He died a few years later and I blasted off this rock and wandered about; working as a mercenary for awhile before joining the rebels. I got tired of the rebellion and its war with the empire and I switched sides because the empire paid more, but thats all behind me now. I'm a free man again." Kyle said giving more information then Bandage had asked for, but it made Kyle feel better to tell someone about his life and his problems, "So, do you have any plans for the future?"

Bandage
Feb 21st, 2006, 09:27:31 PM
Bandage smiles, taking another sip.

"Well, first on my list is finishing this awesome cup of orange juice. Then, perhaps, we could find a way off this "rock," as you so eloquently put it. Perhaps with wandering, helping people and possibly picking up some mutual friends along the way, not only can I further my enlightenment, but perhaps I can get in touch with my inner self...."

Bandage used as many veiled terms as possible. He didn't want to be found out, or worse still, found out alive by the Empire. He knew that if they found out, they would come back and redo the job. And he was sure that the Inquisitoriate and the Sith would be involved....

Bandage thought, trying to project it forward. Hopefully, Kyle would get it. The thought was this:

You may want to watch what you say.......after all, if you did just come from taking care of some business, say some high-ranking officials, then you could be tailed, or bugged.....And we could be screwed. Take a good look at me......that's what happens when you cross the Empire....I'm still lucky to be alive, thanks to the Force and Master Yoghurt.

I won't even begin to ask how you know all this, nor do I really want to know. They wouldn't bug me; they were undercover, badges in the pocket kind of guys. They weren’t directly endorsed by the empire; just a pair of lackeys who would rather have someone else do their dirty work. I do agree, though, that we should get off this planet as soon as possible. I'm sure they had cameras in there and I'm not going to wait around until my wanted poster appears on the tavern wall. Lets go Kyle said, telepathically and then rose to his feet in a slow calm manner that didn't show the anxiety he was now feeling inside. He finished off the remains of his cake and swallowed the remains of his drink, "Got any destinations in mind?"

Bandage
Feb 23rd, 2006, 08:18:05 PM
The Force is giving me the answers. I have never tried to talk like this.....I'm amazed it even got to you, along with all the information that just seems to be flowing so freely to me...

Bandage noted the tenseness, though it wasn't in Kyle's gait. Irregardless, he seemed somewhat tense.

Hey, relax, Kyle. It's hard enough to avoid any problems with me looking the way I do, let alone with you being tense. But good job trying to hide it......Just think of this as a big trip, and we're on a mission, or whatever seems easiest to you. Me? I envision an easy patient, with minute burn wounds.

Bandage got up, taking his cup with him. Taking a sip and finishing off what little contents remained of it, Bandage turned to Kyle.

"Honestly, I don't have any destinations in particular. But I heard that Nar Shaddaa would be a good place to find some friends. Or we could find some people somewhere else."

Taking a few steps to the counter, Bandage ordered another large cup of orange juice to go. As it arrived, Bandage took another sip, before turning to Kyle.

"I'm ready when you are......"

Kyle Krogen

Kyle ran through his options. Nal Shaddaa, the smugglers moon, did sound interesting, but he doubted he'd find any allies there. He tapped his finger against his chin and he thought about it. There were many possibilities. Corellia, Ord Mantell, Tatooine, or even Ryloth. He knew people and had contacts on all those planets. His mind came to another conclusion, though.

"Naboo," He said, looking up over at Bandage, "I think Naboo would be better to go to," He glanced around the cafe for a moment, "Ok, lets go," He headed out the door with bandage right behind him and started down the street. They headed towards the star port.

Instead of taking the direct route, Kyle turned down a side street for a more scenic, and less out in the open, route. This one took them through a maze of alleys, small streets, and even through a house or two as they pair made their way towards whatever destination Kyle had in mind. Eventually the pair left the overcrowded building complexes and stood out in an wide open space. Before them stood what remained of a colossus building.

"The Jedi Temple," Kyle said, mostly to himself, "Its remains stand here a reminder to the few of us that are left, I really wish I could have seen it while it stood; a great, magnificent building. A wonder of the world, really," He turned to look at Bandage, but something else caught his eye. A green skinned alien was standing close to ruins, almost as if it was investigating it, "Who do you suppose that it?"

"Finally..." Ax said to himself as he gazed up at the massive structure before him. "the Jedi Temple! What a sight! Wow..." Ax didn’t know what else to say. All his life he had dreamed of this moment and what he'd do once he got here and now, when he was actually there, he stood as stiff as a statue and was about as brain dead as one to boot.

Shaking free of his stupor, Ax started moving further into the ruins. All he could think about now was the fact that this is where the renowned Jedi Master of the High Council, his distant uncle, Kit Fisto trained and attended the Council meetings. Kit Fisto was Ax's hero. He knew everything, or at least everything he could get his hands onto, about him; from which Lightsabre style he practiced to his abilities in the Force. All the things such as his missions and dealings with other Jedi were probably here in the temple, or were which was one of the reasons Ax had traveled to Coruscant to begin with.

Continuing to look around, his black eyes unblinking as they scanned the scattered pieces of rubble for anything signs of, well, anything really. It was then that Ax felt something. Something in the back of his mind was going off. Kind of like that feeling one gets when they're being watched. He had felt this before and when he confronted his parents about it, they said it was the Force talking to him. He of course didn't believe it at first, but as it started happing more and more, especially during situations of heighten emotion, he started believing them. Snapping his head left and right, his long green tendrils swings back and forth across his face, Ax knelt down behind a fallen pillar. “Is-s… s-someone… there?”

Ax was scared, that much was true. He had heard rumors about those who tried to resurrect the ways of the Jedi or even tried to follow them; they were hunted down and taken out. Looking around him for something to use as weapon, Ax picked up a rock. He was reading himself for whoever it was because he had decided a long time ago that he wasn’t going to be one of those who were hunted down, he would survive…

Bandage
Feb 25th, 2006, 08:58:23 PM
The sight of the Jedi Temple was quite amazing, but Bandage didn't like it. He could feel the rift in the Force, the emanating of the pain. It still echoed in the area, like a scar in the Force itself. Many lives were forfeit here, and all because of simple selfishness....... He could almost hurt with them.....

Shrugging his shoulders, Bandage looked to Kyle, a slight grin on his face.

"I don't know.......maybe he's a tourist...."

Bandage took another glance at Kyle.

"But I feel it. The hurt. The pain. This is definetly the place....I bet a normal person could feel it....Or at least sense that something here is quite off....But as bad as it feels, I think we should continue inward. Who knows what we could find? Perhaps some remnants or salvageable parts from a better time...."

Bandage looked back at the green person. It had moved into the ruins, and was.....Bandage could feel some anticipation, some fear....he was waiting. Bandage could almost feel the rock in his hand...Bandage looked at his own hand. There was no rock there.....but he was feeling the rock in the other male's hand.....and he knew he was male. He could feel it. But he couldn't get anything else. The tangible aura of pain in the metaphysical ether was drowning out the other messages that the Force had to offer. It was too busy trying to heal a scar from a wound that would probably never be quite right.....

Bandage looked back once more to Kyle.

"But we should be cautious. There could be Imperials nearby.....or this green man could be armed. Though, I doubt he could do much more than throw rocks at us. I think he has one in his hand right now......."

Kyle Krogen
Feb 26th, 2006, 10:57:09 PM
Kyle continued to watch the green figure as it moved through the rubble. In all his days on Coruscant he had never seen someone go digging in the remains of the temple, because everyone knew that anything valuable would have been plundered long ago. Kyle himself had poked through the rubble on two occasions, the first just because he was starving to death and he needed something to trade for food, the second time he had gone looking for any artifacts or remains of the jedi.

"Yes, a hundred jedi died in this place. Most would speculate that it torn a hole in the fabric of the force and even though the wound has healed, the scar still remains. This place will probably always radiate this aura of pain and suffering, and I would hope it would. It would serve as a reminded to the truth. That a great Jedi Order had in fact existed here, once upon a time." Kyle said, tacking his eyes off the green man and looking sideways at Bandage instead, "Let us move deeper into the ruins," Kyle suggested. To the typical person this would sound like an honest statement of a possible curiosity, but Bandage would be able to tell Kyle had another motive for moving into the ruins. The green man was a force sensitive.

Kyle didn't know why he picked up such things so easily. It was a unique ability, his master had told him. Kyle thought it a wasted gift, one more worthy of a wiser Jedi. Kyle excelled in the physical, but was as good as a paper bag in a storm when it came to the more mental aspects of the force.

As the two jedi pushed their way over, through, and around the many obstacles, they found themselves moving closer and closer to the green man, either by the will of the force or because Kyle wanted to talk to the man. In a few minutes they arrived a few feet away from where the green man huddled, rock in hand, "Good afternoon," Kyle said, his hands held out and open, a sign of peace and goodwill, and also a sign that he held no weapon, "May I ask what brings you way out here?"

Bandage
Feb 27th, 2006, 09:01:26 PM
Bandage quietly followed Kyle. He noted the same thing that Kyle did. This guy was different. Though he didn't realize that, in fact, that the green man was a Force Sensitive. He only knew that something was different.

As they got to the place where the Green Man was huddled with the rocky weapon in hand, Bandage looked around to make sure that they were not being tailed. Once he was confident, Bandage turned back to Kyle and the Green Man.

Bandage kept his hands in hands down at his sides. They were not close to his saber, but Bandage knew that he could be able to grab and activate it immediately. Just because this was a Force Sensitive, didn't mean that he would be friendly to Jedi.....or friendly at all. Best to be cautious. He could be bait for a trap of other Force Users......

Bandage smiled at Kyle and the Green Man.

"Maybe it's the sights....Of course, it would look better if the Imperials haven't bombed it out...."

"Good afternoon,"

Ax heard one of the men say. Are they talking to me? Ax thought to himself. Oh boy, I'm in for it now. Just pretend that your not here. Just be quiet and they'll forget you’re here.

"May I ask what brings you way out here?"

Crap...

Ax quickly jumped up to look upon the man who was speaking to him. He was human, probably about 6 foot, with blond hair, and appeared unarmed from what Ax could tell. The feeling that he had had earlier was gone now, replaced with one of caution. These men seemed to be friendly, but how long would that last? Where they Imperials? Or were they just spectators like he was? Either way, they knew he was here which meant no more hiding. He have to face these two like any other man would. Like a Jedi would. He would have to learn to stomach his fears and be ready to take on people by himself.

Dropping the rock, Ax walked out into the opening where the two men could now see him clearly. With renewed confidence, Ax looked them both over. There was the blond haired one that had spoke moments ago, the other, Ax couldn’t tell. He looked human but he was covered in bandages, so it made it hard to discern anything else. Kind of scary… Ax thought as he looked around to see if there was anyone else. Once he was sure they were alone, he answered Kyle’s question. “I’m here to pay my respects to those who died here. What about you two?”

Avvandak

Avvandak was once a smuggler of slaves in the Outer Rim, thieving the down-trodden from their captors, taking them to a checkpoint where they would be processed into a normal life in the Central planets, particularly Corescant. His career came to a grinding halt once he was discovered. He and his partners were subjected to countless weeks of torture as “payment” for the slaves they’d taken from the mighty Hutts. Avvandak was dumped along with the bodies of his two companions into the garbage disposal system of Corescant. He was discovered by an unknown stranger who took him to a hospital nearby. He awoke a month later, wading in bacta, unaware of his surroundings.

His eyes creaked open halfway. The hazy images before him frightened him and his eyes shot open, his reddish-brown eyes full of panic. He pulled his facemask off and his body felt a heavy pulsation as the transparent material of the tank cracked and fell apart in one violent action. The bacta rushed out of the tank and Avvandak fell to the floor infront of him, wriggling like a worm on the harmless glass as he did his best to regain his bearing. He rose to all fours and began to move along the floor, gasping in the chilled air of the medical room. He began to accelerate, up on the ball of each foot as he pushed off with his fingertips and into a sprint down the hall. His black hair slapped about his neck and ears as he bolted down the hall. Medics and nurses of various races were either pushed or thrown to the side as he rushed them. He heard an alarm go off in the back of his head as everything seemed to slow down. Everything looked slow and yet his heart pulsed like a machinegun.

With great ease, Avvandak crept out of the building and onto the landing pad for ambulance and rescue vehicles. There was a man in a blue medical uniform, hunched against the wall he just came from. The sight of the escapee didn’t bother him. He only cared for his precious deathstick he inhaled every day during his break. Avvandak’s vocal chords hurt and talking would be of no use. His chest pushed in and out as his thoughts pushed into a primal state. Avvandak approached the man and grabbed his face with two hands, pushing his head into the wall and knocking him out cold. Avvandak stripped the man of his uniform and began to don it. He was almost finished when someone from the inside came out. It was a nurse, unknowing of what the escapee looked like. She picked up the employee whom Avvandak dispatched and she nodded, as if to thank him as she dragged him back into the building.

He traveled to the end of the platform and looked down. The streets below looked like a straight-pin. Avvandak got to his hands and knees and began to slowly traverse down the endless ladder…

Bandage

Bandage was smiling, when he heard the words in his head.

Kind of scary....

Bandage then heard the Green Man speak. And the way the thoughts flowed, and the way that the man spoke, and Bandage knew it was him. Had to be.....

Taken aback, Bandage looked shocked to the Green Man.

"I beg your pardon? Scary? Oh, c'mon. Mr. Dreds.....or Tendrils.....or whatever they are...."

Laughing his dry laugh, Bandage slowly stepped forward, hands out, palms open in a sign of peace.

"The name's Bandage. And we're kinda here for the same thing..... They were good people here.....but no longer people as we see them...."

Bandage looked out to the rubble. His mood changed to sullen, and somewhat depressed.

"There's a lot of pain here....."

"The names Kyle Kro..." His voice faltered and his body spun around, his eyes looking around wildly. He had felt it, a presence in his mind. Force energy at work. The force itself whispered in his ear, and it said "Follow the force." Kyle raised his eyes and could see the hospital spire in the distance. He turned back to his comrade and the green guy, "Krogen," He finished, "Sorry I have no time left to explain our reasons for being here. We're..." His body tensed, "Force adepts..." His hands folded into fists and his knuckles turned white, "...Jedi..." He looked around, but saw no sudden movement, "There is someone out there that needs my help. I'd offer for you, and Bandage to tag along, but I fear you'd only slow me down. Here," He dug into his pocket and scribbled down on a piece of paper, "Here the address of the spaceport that I've got a back-up ship in. The Imperials don't know about it, but I will serve to get us all off the planet. That is, if you want to come?" He said, looking at the tendrilled humanoid. He knew he was rushing things and his sentences were all running around, but he hoped that both the stranger, and Bandage had grasped the meaning of his words and could see the urgency in his eyes.

Avvandak continued to traverse the eternal ladder of the hospital spire, coming closer and closer to the bottom. The wind whipped as cars floated by. He'd stop and gain a tighter grip as he began to slowly travel into the darkness of the streets below. He became light-headed as his fatigue caught up to him. His face became pale and his head woozy from the sudden rushes of air. Towards the bottom his grip began to falter. He was sore all over from coming down the ladder for so long. His equilibrium was thrown off when a hovercraft grazed his back. Avvandak missed the step of the ladder with his hand and his fingers were forced from it with the velocity of the passing cars. He began tumbling in midair as his body fell to the garbage pit below. With a loud thud and the screaming of twisted metal, his body caused the trash to spew upward like blood from a wound. Avvandak was out cold and alone in the darkness beneath the city's main trafficways.

"Sorry... I didn't mean anything by it. And yeah, they were good people." Ax said as he kind of shyly looked away, but quickly found his attention back on the man before him. "Wait! How did you know I was thinking that?" And soon enough, everything made sense after Kyle introduced himself. Jedi. They were Jedi!

"Jedi!! No way! I had a feeling when I saw you two, I mean, I had a feeling, but I wasn’t sure! I don’t know how else to explain it, but I knew it all along!" Ax was so excited he barely heard Kyle say that he had to go. “Wait…what? You’re leaving?” Ax said as he took the scrap of paper from Kyle. “Of course I’ll go! Count me in for whatever you two have got planned.” Ax said as he looked at both Kyle and Bandage with a huge grin on his face. The grin that his family said reminded them of Kit.

Bandage, at the mention of trouble, looked at Kyle, puzzled. He must've sensed something....

Bandage turned to Kyle as he addressed him.

"I can keep up with you......but if you'd like for me to, I'll stay with Mr. Keldara and meet you at the skyport. Or I can come with you for backup.....It's up to you, Kyle."

"I'd prefer you stay with out new friend, I have a feeling the empire's already on my tail and I don't want them getting their hands on him," He nodded towards Ax, "The force called me and I think this is something it wants me to do on my own," He placed his hand on Bandage's shoulder, "Take care of him," He smiled and then turned around and ran off towards the hospital spire. His legs pumped up and down as he used the force to boost his speed. Soon he became a blur speeding towards the nearest building. He planted his feet on the ground and shot off into the air. He soared over the tops of the buildings and onto the roof of a random house. He landed on the tiles and then bounded off again. Many people looked up to see a dark blur shoot over the rooftops.
Kyle reached the base of the hospital spire in a few minutes. He glanced around for whatever it was that was calling him. He closed his eyes and reached out with the force. He was instantly attracted to a signature in the dumpster near by, a force signature. He ran over to the large dumpster and force jumped up onto the lip. He looked down and saw a man lying in the middle of all the garbage. Kyle jumped down and nudged the man, but he was unconscious. He picked the man up and threw him over his shoulder and then jumped down from the dumpster.

He nearly toppled over under the weight, but he quickly used the force to boost the strength of his arms and shoulders and then started off down the street. He drew many odd looks from people as he ran by, but he ignored the looks and kept going.

Half an hour, or longer, went by before he finally reached the star port. He moved inside and located his private docking bay. He pushed the door open and looked inside to find Bandage and their new friend waiting for him inside. He rushed over to them, "Bandage, help me get him down," He asked and let Bandage help him pull the man off his shoulder and lower him to the ground, "This is what was calling me, another force user and a jedi I hope." He said as he pushed some of the man's hair out of his face, "Never seen him before, how about you guys?" He asked and then looked sideways at the green man, "Never got your name," He said, sticking his hand out, "And Bandage, would you happen to possess any medical skills?"

Bandage, after helping the simian-like creature to a table, began to look around the area. No bacta samples, save for a small first aid kit, which contained some. Bandage moved with a speed similar to Kyle, only it was to reach out, grab the case, and spread it open instantly. Going on autopilot, Bandage spread out the case. Good, there were some small packs of bacta for minor burns and cuts. And there were small razor blades for cutting the bandages and excess skin off the wounds. He slowly opened the jacket and removed the clothing. The boy seemed to have wounds all over him. Small burn marks.

"Low-powered phasers, to stun him."

Bandage rolled the boy over, and saw a large burn mark on his back. It was opened, and the wound much more severe.

"And this is a medium-powered blaster bolt. It was what put him down for such a long time..."

Bandage began to mix three of the packages, and finally, got a nice coating, and quickly, but painlessly on the wound. Once done, he quickly wrapped a bandage around it. He then turned the boy over, and began to spread the small packets on the boy's minor burns, but didn't bandage them. Bandage turned to Kyle.

"Whomever got him, hit him pretty good. But he seems resilient. It's either the Force, or his species. Irregardless, the wounds are not very severe. But they could've gotten infected. The bacta will do the work to keep the wound clean and heal the burns. But...."

Bandage got an ice pack, and after rubbing the chemicals in the bag to get the pack cold, Bandage wrapped the ice pack in a small bandage. He then slipped it under the bandage, on the burn on the boy's back.

"That will cool and soothe the burn some. That's the best I can do with what we got. What now, Kyle? We need to get going."

Mar 9th, 2006, 11:37:08 PM
Ax just stood back and watched as Kyle and Bandage did their thing. Ax had never seen the guy before. Hell, Ax had never seen anything like any of this before until today.

"Never seen him before, how about you guys?"

"I can't say I have. This is my first time to Coruscant, my first time anywhere other than my home world, Glee Anselm." Ax said as he watched Bandage work on the new guy. Surprisingly Bandage knew what he was doing or so it seemed. "But yeah, my names Axius Keldara, but my friends call me Ax for short." He said as he extended his hand and shook Kyle's with that same large grin stretching across his face.

Avvandak
Mar 11th, 2006, 11:46:55 PM
Voices waved in and out of his mind as he began to slowly reclaim conciousness. Avvandak's left eye creaked open and blurred sillouettes decorated his foggy field of vision. Fear and adrenaline caused him to snap awake and into a frenzy. "WHO ARE YOU?! What do you want from me? Are hired by the Hutt Syndicate?!" his questions exploded from his maw as he flailed his arms into a defensive position, preparing for a fight in his shoddy condition.

((ooc: Sorry this post is so short but I honestly couldn't think to add anything else without it looking like a BS post.))

Bandage
Mar 12th, 2006, 06:34:28 PM
Bandage, with suprising strength for a person of his build, grasped the boy and shoved him back down to the table. He had gone into doctor mode, and that simply meant that the patient would get treatment, whether he liked it or not. He had had several patients fight him. And one had grabbed for the scalpel and had even tried to fight him with it in the past. And that was the reason why, at the time, Bandage had joined the gym to learn a combat style, for such occasions. It primarily dealt with subdual. Going over the motions, Bandage placed his hands properly on the boy, so as he would not get free. Speaking calmly, yet with authority, Bandage stared right into the eyes of the boy.

"We are here to help. And no we are not of the Hutt Syndicate. You could say we are freelancers. And it would do you better if you didn't fight. Your wounds need to be tended to."

Avvandak
Mar 12th, 2006, 07:38:24 PM
Avvandak was exhausted, shaking from his acting wounds. His struggle to break free was haulted by Bandage's authoritative voice. "Freelancer?" he gasped as he fought for air.

He ceased to resist as his chest rose and fell heavily. "Freelancer... of what... sort?" he wheezed as he regained control of his breathing.

Bandage
Mar 12th, 2006, 09:10:09 PM
"Well, you see, my friend here...."

Bandage gestures to Kyle.

"....Kyle, is rounding up special individuals, like myself, and Mr. Keldara here."

Bandage nods over to Ax.

"And we have something in common. And if I'm not mistaken, you have the very same thing in common.....But we will mention that later, when we are in a secure place. To mention any more information could mean our deaths at the hands of the Empire. Let's just say that we are here to help you, and that is all you need to know right now. You must trust us. We'll keep you safe from the Hutt Syndicate, since it seems that you are running away from them. Just relax now, and let me tend to your wounds. The sooner I get this done, the sooner we can get to a secure place, and the sooner you'll get your answers, young man."

Bandage said all this with a smile, to show the boy that he should not be afraid.

Avvandak
Mar 13th, 2006, 11:28:29 AM
Avvandak's eyebrow twitched as he thought about the Hutts. They probably left him for dead, like the others. "I'm confused..." he grunted as he sat upright on the edge of the table, letting his arms hang between his knees.

"So. Where to now? Ever since I was busted by the Hutts, I've had no idea where to call 'safe'. They probably got all the info they wanted off of my comrades. I'm not entirely sure what it is we do have in common, but I'm sure that I can be of no use to you in my condition... unless ofcourse we could scrounge up some sort of firearm. And a better disguise for myself."

Kyle Krogen
Mar 14th, 2006, 10:29:01 PM
"We don't have time to scrounge up anything. The imperials are going to be looking for me, and probably you as well. The first thing we need to do is get off this planet. Once we're out in the void then we can talk. Sorry to scare and or confuse you sir, but we're in great danger right now so I suggest we all grab what we have and board our ticket off here," Kyle said, resting a hand on the man's shoulder and using the force to calm his nerves. He looked over his shoulder at the ship that occupied the other half of the private docking bay. It was a XS-800 light freighter, a decent ship with plenty of space, speed, and not to mention quite comfortable, "Lets get aboard," He instructed and then roped his arm under Avvandak's shoulder and helped him reach the ramp and walk up it.

"Strap yourselves in," Kyle said before making his way to the bridge and taking the helm. He submitted a launch request to the traffic control tower, "This is traffic control tower seventy-two calling the 'Valiant', you are clear to launch. Proceed upon launch trajectory nine.

Kyle fired up the ships thrusters and launched it into the air and through the docking bay's open ceiling. In no time they were in space entering hyperspace. Kyle set the controls and then unbuckled himself from his chair. He made his way back to the common space in the middle of the vessel where all his comrades were strapped down and waiting, "Ok, now it's safe to talk," He said as he walked over to the mystery man, "Kyle Krogen," He said, extending his hand, "And this is Bandage and Axius," He pointed out which was who with his finger, "Welcome aboard the Valiant, do you have any questions you would like to ask immediately?"

Avvandak
Mar 15th, 2006, 10:39:20 AM
Avvandak's cheek pushed his eye as the corner of his mouth lifted upward and his jaw fell down. "Yeah... besides having two legs, and being fugitives, I dunno what in the cosmos we have in common. Enlighten me." he droned out, letting his wounds heal.

Bandage
Mar 15th, 2006, 09:29:56 PM
Bandage stayed back from the group, absorbing everything. After a few minutes, Bandage leaned against one of the cabin's supports. Only, when the boy asked the question, did Bandage hear the thought. He didn't hear it, but thought it. The word Avvandak came to mind, and he knew it immediately to be the boy's name. Bandage smiled, and spoke before anyone else.

"Of course, Mr. Avvandak. Besides the bipedal legs, and the humanoid shapes, we do have one thing in common: I'm almost positive that if you measure our midi-chlorians, we all have the highest score.....meaning that we are all Force Sensitives. I don't know if you can sense it, and I can only sense that something is different about you, and Mr. Keldara, and Kyle especially. He has been, most likely, consciously utilizing the Force longer than we have. But we are all talented, I'm sure. After all, I am quite good at healing, and have found the use of a lightsaber comes to me quite quickly; Mr. Keldara seems sensitive of others; you show, like myself, an aggressive healing system that has kept you alive. I guess that I could not survive if it weren't for the midi-chlorians keeping me going, and the same seems so to you. And Kyle? I think that he is most likely very good at the use of a lightsaber or two, and he has the Force guiding him to you, Avvandak. So, in short, we are all Force Users or Potentials. Basically, you could say that Kyle and I are Jedi, and Mr. Keldara and yourself are Force Sensitives, and have the potential to be Jedi. To defend the ones who can't defend themselves, and those like ourselves, whom the Empire and its cohorts have stomped on for doing the right thing...."

Bandage let the thought hang. It was someone else's turn to add their thoughts.

Avvandak
Mar 16th, 2006, 08:19:09 PM
Avvandak cackled in his throat and sarcastically remarked, "Hmph! And here I was thinking that my will to survive for the good of the people was the only thing that kept me ticking. I dont mean to sound rude, but the Jedi religion is gone. I'm not yet convinced."

Avvandak was intrigued by the topic of conversation, midi-chlorians and the like. He crossed his arms and pushed his jaw out, exposing enlarged canine teeth, bigger than the average humanoid's.

Avvandak looked at Kyle and smirked. He could visibly see that the two were similar. They shared the same features, but Avvandak's were a tad bit exaggerated with slightly longer fingers and bigger feet, along with lean muscle attached to his bones. Kyle on the other hand appeared to be a grass-roots human. He also knew that they were somehow similar in another way. It's as though he sensed it, almost like a scent, but more subconcious than floating in the air around him. "Midi-chlorians..." he groaned as he forced a heavy blink, sitting in disbelief. Like he had seen a ghost, one unfamiliar to him.

Kyle Krogen
Mar 18th, 2006, 09:35:33 PM
"The jedi are not some religious cult, Mister Avvandak, and we are not gone. I think there is little we can do to convince you, for it is a decision you must make on your own. We are only offering you the path; you must still choose to walk it. If you would rather strike it out on your own and live life as an average man then we will drop you on whatever planet you desire, but you are welcome to stick around and possibly learn to use the gifts you were given. The force guided me to you, Mister Avvandak, and I'm sure it had it reasons. I don't think it was any mere coincidence that I ran into you, bandage, and even Axius on the day that I decided to seek the remnants of the jedi," Kyle said, shifting uneasily in his seat. He was not one for talking in such a style as he was now. He was trying to be persuasive while trying not to be at the same time. He did not want to trick Avvandack into joining them through cunning words and a smooth tongue, but neither did he want to chase the man off with a misinterpretation or a ill message. He met his problem in the middle and simple used a smooth tongue to convey the message he wanted. He ended up sounding like a cheap holodrama.

"Midi-chlorians..." Avvandak mumbled.

“Yes, Midi-chlorians are what bind all matters of life together and also empower the force… Do you sense something, Mister Avvandak?”

Avvandak
Mar 18th, 2006, 11:25:44 PM
Avvandak looked up at Kyle and cocked his head to the side, "Not sure... It's weird. Kinda like how people lose a limb, but they still think its there... But the other way around."

Avvandak was rather perplexed with his current state. He had always felt this, but he never really questioned it. Avvandak's stubborn attitude caused his response to spill from his maw, "Force or not, I'm still not sure... Who knows."

Avvandak stood up and popped his back, putting his hands in the small of his back and pushing forward, "What I do know is that I owe you for finding me. I'll travel with you until I've helped you, then I'll be on my way."

Avvandak pushed his hand forward and left it out front, awaiting a handshake, "Agreed?"

Bandage
Mar 19th, 2006, 01:05:01 AM
Bandage nodded, smiling. It was true. And all this, on the day that Kyle set out to find other potential Jedi. And he found four. Quite a day for him....

Bandage had already thrown his lot in with Kyle, and Axius didn't seem to disagree. The only lukewarm individual had been Avvandak, but Bandage understood. After all, when he found himself alive....and quite physically lukewarm, much like Avvandak's attitude... Bandage hadn't honestly been sure of what to feel then, either. He had lost his life, and his face, his skin, his prestige, his honor, yet he had gained something more meaningful, something more honorable than Bandage had ever imagined.

Breathing quietly as he slid his hands into his pockets, Bandage figured it best to remain silent. This was not his moment to speak or act, after all. It was for Kyle to offer up the handshake, to seal the deal. Bandage was sure he knew how it would end. Kyle would most likely accept, being that he had extended the invitation previously, even moreso than Bandage had. After all, it wasn't Bandage that had saved Avvandak's life.......

With a sparkle in his eyes, Bandage watched and waited.

Kyle Krogen
Mar 22nd, 2006, 06:11:25 PM
Kyle moved forward and gripped the man's hand and shook it up and down, "Agreed. We will be glad of your help, Avvandak. Now that that little part is out of the way," Kyle said as he made his way back to his chair, "We can get to the next piece of business. Because of certain events the empire will be looking especially hard for my head. They've already been on the look out for Bandage and if they knew about Axius they would kill him and I'm sure they will be looking for Avvandack as well. So, we need to find a place to lie low, a sanctuary were we can be safe and hidden. For those reasons I have selected Naboo as our destination. It is under imperial control, but their grasp on the planet is so weak that it will be a easy task to evade whatever forces they possess on the planet. Naboo has more then enough places to hide and I already have one in mind. A year or two ago I was on a mission for the New Republic flying reconnaissance over several planets, Naboo was one of those planets. While flying over a so called deserted area I discovered an old stone temple on top of a short mountain. On a later trip I investigated the temple and found it was completely deserted and the town that sat at the foot of the mountain had been burned to the ground. Why, I have idea, but the building is more then big enough for us to stay at and if not for the great stone and glass statue on top of it, it would be completely camouflaged with the rock and sandstone of the mountain top. It is also in a small area known as the Himotama wilderness, a land no one ventures to anymore," Kyle finished and then looked around the room, "Any questions or objections?"

Bandage
Mar 22nd, 2006, 09:09:02 PM
Bandage is the first to speak.

"Um, yeah......Actually, the Imperials think I'm dead. If they discover me, they might actually put two and two together, and realize that I'm the guy they torched.....Of course, they might not get that past their thick skulls....But question is, why don't people venture back into the Himotama Wilderness?"

Kyle Krogen
Mar 23rd, 2006, 04:18:03 PM
"Because they place already been stripped off all its rich resources. Several crystal mines were dug and then left when the miners failed to find anymore crystal, gems, or diamonds. On top of Othat people believe the Himotama Wilderness is haunted by evil spirits that invade your mind and take over your body. I am quite sure there are no such spirits. A third reasons is that it inhabited by several savage beasts, but they keep in the dense jungles that surround the wilderness and only cross it to get to their mating grounds on the other side. So, really, there are real dangers that we can't handle easily enough."

Axius Keldara
Mar 24th, 2006, 01:07:55 PM
OOC: Sorry it's taken me so long to reply guys. I've been rather bust here as of late with work and trying to study/workout for my firefighters exams.

IC: Axius had just been sitting to the side while all this was happening. He didn't know any medical skills, so he couldn't help when it came to their new friend Avvendak and he didn't have anything to add to try and sway Avvendak to stay with them, so he was once again, of no help there. All in all, Ax felt about as helpful as unwanted luggage and that's exactly what he felt like, luggage that no one wanted.

But as the conversation went on and they started speaking of choosing Naboo as their destination, Ax kind of perked up. He had read some stuff about Naboo, mostly more Jedi stuff such as the story of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's fight against a Sith there, but he had also read about some of the cities there. "Uh..." He said as he built up the courage to speak. "I don't know much about Naboo, but I do know a little and I am unaware of any space ports in the jungles there. So my question, I guess, would be; where are we going to land? The Imperial's control the planet right? So won't it be easy for them to pick us out? Especially if you're as wanted as you say you are Kyle?"

Ax felt like he had only added more problems to the already, boiling pot of troubles, but he felt they were questions that needed to be brought up and answered for that matter. “Like I said, I don't know much..."

Avvandak
Mar 25th, 2006, 06:09:43 PM
Avvandak smirked, highly intrigued by the base of operations Kyle had chosen to call home. "When will we arrive at base?" he questioned as he popped his knuckles individually.

Avvandak thought as he spoke. Although battered, he seemed to have extremely high spirits. Perhaps now he could return to his passion of helping those in need, though not slave snatching as he was once known for. Although still farfetched in his mind, he could feel in his soul that he was doing the right thing by joining this near-extinct sect known as the Jedi.

Kyle Krogen
Mar 28th, 2006, 07:42:06 PM
Kyle turned to Axius and addressed the tendrilled man's concerns, "This ship is pretty well stocked on food supplies so we won't need to travel into town for awhile, and when we do we will keep low profiles and avoid the more imperialistic parts of town. Getting to a town or village is going to be the hard part. We can't fly this bucket of bolts over any cities without getting tagged. It will take me awhile to change the transponder code so I don't dare power the ship up again until it’s changed. There is a single speeder bike in the cargo hold and I plan on using that to reach the nearest city and purchase a land speeder or more bikes, perhaps both. Even though the Empire froze my account with them I have a large amount of credits stored in secret compartments in this ship. Let’s just say I've been expecting this day for some time and I'm quite prepared. The real tricky part is going to be finding a place to land this beast," The ship itself was not very large but big enough to be a burden to land, "There are several caves in a range of mountains that exist on one side of the wasteland. I'm just hoping that one of them is big enough. I'm also hoping that the wanted posters have not reached Naboo yet."

Bandage
Mar 28th, 2006, 09:28:16 PM
Bandage looked to Kyle.

"If the fight with the higher-ups that you killed happened yesterday, then chances are the word will not be yet on Naboo for another week. We'll be there by then.....And probably in a cave. No worries, yet...."

Avvandak
Mar 29th, 2006, 02:12:38 AM
With the deal sealed, Avvandak made a fist with the hand Kyle shook, solidifying the pact to himself. "I'm ready to move out." he spouted sharply. He felt much better and much more mobile than he did previously. He massaged his shoulders and biceps roughly as he awaited a response or action from the group's self-proclaimed leader.

"Thats what I'm hoping, Bandage," Kyle said blandly, "So once we are all set up on Naboo I plan on, and possibly with Bandage's help, train you, Axius, in the ways of the Jedi and the Force, and, if you are interested Avvandak, I could teach you as well."

Bandage smiles, his teeth showing brightly against the dark apparel, and the yellowed bandages.

"Of course I'd be willing to help, if you could help me as well, Kyle. After all, I am somewhat new to this as well, though not nearly as much as they."

Ax's eyes lit up with excitement as Kyle mentioned training him. He had originally come to Coruscant to learn more about the Jedi. He never imagined that he would meet one, let along, be trained by one as well. "I...I...thank you! Thank you so much! I mean..." Ax stopped himself trying to calm down enough so that he could get a whole sentence out. "Thank you Kyle. It's been my dream for as long as I can remember now to be a Jedi; to be a part of it's resurrection and with your help, and yours Bandage, my dream will be fulfilled. I will swear myself to the teachings and you for as long as it takes."

Ax realized he was getting ahead of himself and took a moment to calm down again. "But that comes after we land and get settled..." he said as a faint smile stretched across his face with a hint of embarrassment behind it. "I'll help the best I can..."

"Don't worry, Axius, it will be my pleasure to teach you," He said with a bright smile, and what about you, Avvandack, do you want to learn the ways of the force?"

Avvandak stood, his eyes shooting back and forth as the conversation escalated. Suddenly, he heard his name. "Force? Sure, why not. 'Couldn't hurt." He said with a shoulder shrug. The pinch of his nerves in his shoulderblade seemed to scream out as he made his gesture. He growled and stretched his arm as he continued to work his muscles to health.

"Then it is decided. Now, I would suggest you all get some sleep, especially you Avvandak. You will need a lot of rest to recover from your injuries. This ship is equipped with four separate living quarters. They are small but not uncomfortably so. Naboo is a half day but due to the fact that the Empire is after us I will be using indirect space routes to get there, this will put up the travel time to about twenty hours. So, get so rest and make yourselves comfortable. There is food and water in that cooler unit," He pointed off to the side at the large white unit that sat against the wall, "Each room is already furnished with beds and blankets. If you need me I will either be in the room, the first on the left, or in the cockpit. Good night gentlemen," With that Kyle rose and headed back to the cockpit.

OOC: If you guys want to continue talking and interacting in this thread then go right ahead. I'm going to start a new thread in the Enclave area for us. I'll post a link in here when it's up.

Avvandak retrieved a thick canister containing water from the cooler unit and shuffled off to his quarters, making full use of his sleep time, waking up now and then to take a heavy swig of water.

Bandage nodded, taking in everything. And going to the spare quarters, he was in shock. It was a bed! A bunk even! Much better than a slab of pavement! Smiling, Bandage decided to go to the sonic bathing booth, before turning in. He liked the standard water bathing, but then again, beggars couldn't be choosers.

"And apparently, neither can Jedi...."

Bandage chuckled dryly to himself, laying sleepily on the bunk. With no time at all, Bandage was asleep, a grin cut across his scarred visage.

Ax was too excited to go to sleep now. He would soon be starting his training to one day become a Jedi! He couldn't believe it. Everything still felt like a dream to him, but at the same time, so real that it was almost breath taking for the young Nautolan.

With a smile stretched across his face, Ax made his way over to the cooler and retrieved a bottle of water just as Avvendak did before him, but instead of going off to a room, he walked over to the table in the center of the room and sat down. Sleep would have to wait because right now, Ax was indulging himself in the though that he would one day be a Jedi.

Hours pasted before sleep finally caught up with Ax and before he knew it, his head was down on his arm, the bottle of water turned over in his out stretched hand, splashing over the side of the table, as a puddle of drool circled close to Ax's mouth. Just like a kid, lost in the wake of a dream while silently praying that when he opens his eyes, his dream had come true.
