View Full Version : Murdering the Temptation (Aiden Mirit)

Orange Diren didn't undestand her actions sometimes, no wonder Jiro Lawson left her for another man. That thought alone made her sick to her stomach and she mustered a growl. How foul she could speak about the man she had ran into, the man who had ruined her life. But she smiled as she slowly followed the stranger she had stumbled upon outside of the apartment, post break-up. She had been losing Jiro the day she had met him and surprisingly enough she wasn't as heartbroken as she should have been. She knew for a fact the true reason being was the man she saw walk into the shadows. He had piqued her interest, teased her, and now she was afraid to have lost something very special, considering that man gave her a feeling she hadn't experienced before. He was enthralling to her, both in his spirits and in his coniving tongue. She liked the first impression he gave her and she was wanting to follow up on him to see if he was actually as mysterious as he was appearing to be.

So he had said he was dangerous...sad that Orange was more attracted to that than anything. Her life was consisted of danger, or at one point in time it had. It made her feel alive to know someone who probably murdered people for enjoyment, entertainment whenever they were bored, but she was judging a book by its cover she knew nothing about the man who had spoken to her in riddles. But how she liked the danger that this man was provoking. In time she knew he would probably be the death of her if she allowed him to and at this rate, by being a stalker and following him, it was looking probable. But how she enjoyed hopping on the good foot and doing the bad thing!

The urge to rush things had gripped his mind like a vice several times after having left the woman's presence. He noted, in the very far reaches of his wandering mind, to ask her name next time they crossed paths. With luck, they may never meet again. He didn't like how she made him feel or the look in her eyes. Her green eyes picked at ever imperfect detail that made him the murdering, vengeful youth he was today, searching his soul for a way to heal the pain his past had inflicted. She could probably find away, were he not perfectly happy the way he was. His lips twisted into a venomous sneer as he turned a corner sharply, traipsing like a prince into main base of his hired assistants that had fallen before Mitsuru and himself. Quite a waste of money.

Iniquitous was drawn without flaw from its decorative sheath, the silver glint given off by the blade rousing restless, sloven gang members from their drunken stupor. The flash of steel was quickly followed by the radiant shimmer given off by his shockingly blue eyes, a warning to those he had come for. A rather tactless battle raged, tiring and boring the Earl.

She had no idea where she was but that didn't bother her at all considering she was more caught up in the man ahead. She was wanting to know his name, his profession considering murderer wasn't really a profession in her eyes. Her mind burned with the questions she longed to ask, his name was the biggest of them all. She had lost him when she began to think of the questions she wanted to ask if she ever saw him again, which by the looks of it was very dismal. But alas when she thought she was completely lost she heard noises coming from a dark alleyway. She wasn't one for trouble but she was very curious to know what was going on. Surely it wasn't the young man she had spoken to earlier?

Orange's mind was suddenly distracted when she saw a bright flash of light and a loud rumble in the sky. Seh frowned when she felt a large drop of rain hit her eyelash and run down her cheek. She touched the cold water and lookd at it as if it might've been blood, but it glistened clearly picking up the reflection of lights nearby. Suddenly it was beginning to pour and her mind was still lost in the actions taking place in the alley way. Where had that man gone? Where was she at? What was going on beside her?

Aiden's particular fighting style was hardly laid back and unmoving. In fact, each motion was fluid and full, accented by the spin flip whirl of each completed thrust. Men fell before him like slaves to serve, each driven through by the sharpest edge of Iniquitous' length. Murder at ease quickly came to an end when a slightly larger, oafish brute stepped into the fray, shots firing past him as others fell back to watch them. It was more of a challenge, though not by much. This man, too, fell before him, Aiden following up.

He moved atop the man, placing the searing sharpness against his throat, hands clasping hilt and laying dangerously across the blade's pressed back. Demuring eyes scanned over frantic features, recalling this man's leader position amongst the other dirty faces. He leered down with a lopsided smile, crystal sheened eyes ablaze.

"Seems you can't hold true to your dealings, wretch. It was you who dared attempt to appease my hunger for his death and yet you rushed head long into a lose/lose situation. Well, what do you have to say for yourself?"

"Well, sir, I..!"

He hadn't seen the dagger coming, though he should have anticipated a lowly attack from such an over credited oaf. The short blade sank into his left shoulder, true aim steered away by an unseen force. He winced slightly then slammed his hand down against his own blade, sending the steel down until it met duracrete.

"Wrong answer..."

Orange felt the rain fal heavily, soaking her to the bone and causing her articles of clothing to cling to every part of her body, her hair curling and dripping streams of water. She was somehow called to the scene unfolding in front of her, the sharp screams, bright light of daggers and weapons filling her senses with an excitement she had never felt before. She was drawn like a moth to a flame to watch the violence. She heard a familiar voice and her stomach turned, it was the man she had spoken to fighting many men. She had watched some fall to their deaths and she was somehow enticed by watching this.

She could see the violence, feel it, smell the blood...it was all so exciting. She didn't understand her desire to watch, but she was. Normally a woman such as herself would turn and run like the wind and try and call for help of some sort, or just run back home and forget what she had seen. Sadly, she was embracing it. Did this make her a ruthless murderer as well to be standing there watching what was going on? She sadly understood why she was watching, it was because the man had given her that deep of impact on her actions that she was wanting to see how good of a murderer he was.

The man's death was the immediate signal to depart. He allowed the others to escape, ignoring their absence to explore a new presence that was ever so near. A gloved hand reached upward, drawing the weapon from his shoulder, growling softly when the growing intensity of rain pelted against the wound. By the time he had stood, the white shirt beneath the cloak was sticky with his own blood. Drawing off the covering, he pulled the shirt to the side and gazed down at the wound in annoyance.

She was here.

The realization hit him suddenly, though the surprise was pleasantly voided from his expression. Turning slightly, he raked the sword across his sleeve, then returned it to its sheath.

It seemed as though he would pass her, but his stride took a violent turn when he stood at a direction parallel to her. Grasping her shoulders, he thrust her back against the rain drenched building, a fall of water cascading down from the gutters above to drench his shirt and hair more than he would have liked.

"You.. were suppose to go inside." He said stiffly, his grip tight on her shoulders. "There a specific reason you followed me?"

Orange stared at him for a moment almost shokced that he had even seen her and approached her. Her back was pushed stifly against the cold wall, water pouring down on them as if it were underneath a waterfall. The attraction she had for the man before had doubled, especially when she saw him wet.

There was a reason why she followed him, not a very good one but a reason. If she told him it was because she was attracted to him, that he had appealed to her, his danger held him to her...there was no way in hell she'd see him again. Orange looked at his face taking in the shapes and forms, the jawline that was sheen and strong, so sharp that it could've been carved from stone. Her eyes traveled to his lips then to his neck, on down until her eyes caught a dark shade. She frowned and touched his left shoulder, barely grazing it enough to see if that was just a knick.

She drew her hand open to see the clarret on her hands, the crimson color sparkling under the water and dark street lights. It hit her, this man had been injured. No matter how small it may have been instinct to fix it kicked in.

"You're hurt..." It was a stupid thing to say, but she was suddenly afraid for his health. It needed to be fixed. She needed to fix it. "A brave boy such as yourself playing with such dangerous toys...tsk, tsk, tsk..." She grinned at him and reached her hands up to where his own pushed her shoulders back against the wall.

"Allow me to fix it."

"Just how long were you..." He stopped, gazing down at her hands that covered his own. Fix it? She didn't seem to realize that they were in a germ infested environment, in the rain, far from her home. He wanted to shake her into submission and drag her back to where she belonged.

"What in Vorash's name are you doing following me? Do you realize you could have been killed? Raped?" He snarled, arresting her hands with his own, pressing them back into the dripping wall behin her.

"Why...?"

Orange looked at him...she just realized how stupid she truly was. Coming there was a bad idea, wanting to know more about him was an even worse idea. But at least she got to see him again. Sad how one got attached so quickly to a man she barely knew. She didn't even know his name.

"B-because." She knew this wasn't a legitimate answer so she knew she had to elaborate...but how? "Because you intrigued me. I've never met someone quite like you before.." She felt like she was screaming over the raindrops.

"I didn't even know your name."

Staring into those green eyes, one could almost forget you were bleeding to death. So, she had felt the same fascination as he, though she had been far braver than he by following him here. Chest and abdominal muscles flexed and rippled as yet another twinge of pain struck the flesh of his shoulder. So many things to say, so many things to do.

"Aiden." He murmured, his gaze softening as it drifted back to those insatiable green eyes.

Orange stared at him for what felt like an eternity, but at least it was a great moment of time that she had lost in her life. Those eyes that were so bright and blue that they practically glowed in the dark...his magnificense was felt without her even knowing anything about him. Her mouth ached and suddenly a sly crooked grin formed, so he did have a name.

"That is nice." She said to him, lost in his eyes that were immaculate as was almost every feature on his pure face was. How attractive he was in such odd conditions, wet, bleeding...she must've had odd tastes.

"Nice to meet you." When she said this the only thing she saw was his luscious lips. She wondered what they tasted like. She moved her eyes up to meet his own, becoming lost yet again. "My name is Orange."

Orange.

The smallest of smiles formed, etching a crack in his finely set in stone expression. What kind of a name was that? Obviously they hadn't exactly named her after the tender hues that flitted through her hair. It probably had some grace to it that escaped him. But he could not deny that he was fond of it. It did suit her.

But just like that, the smile was gone.

"A pleasure, Ms. Orange." He murmured.

Orange bit her lower lip his voice sending unparalleled shivers up and down her spine. This man was doing wonders for her that she never thought possible and the sad thing was she just now met him personally.

"Believe me, the pleasure is all mine." She said in response her mind not responding as quickly as she had hoped. "Now you are injured, friend. I don't know about you, but I don't like bleeding to death in such cold weather under such circumstances."

"I.." He stopped, not sure if he wanted the girl anywhere near him. She was doing something to his senses that he didn't exactly recognize or appreciate, though the attraction was undeniable.

Removing his hands from her shoulders, he took a step backward. His gaze swept over her face, once again taking in the fiery hair, blazing eyes, and plump lips. "I don't have a place yet." He finished, and poorly at that.

"I usually just get a hotel when I want to stick around." And he was starting to sound like a pervert. He winced, looking away from her.

Orange cocked her left eyebrow standing there in the rain just looking at him as if he were a sight to see, which sadly he was. So he was a hotel kind of man... it made sense to her. With a man with a body as perfected as his own, face that could stop traffic, and a sexual arua about him it would only seem suitable for him to be the kind who housed in hotels rather than apartments. She snickered slightly, roughly, the newfound information humored her far more than it should have.

"Hotel... it shall do us both justice I suppose? It is quite a long walk back to the apartment, even so I don't think I'll be staying with the Lawson family anymore." She looked around wondering which direction safety from the storm was in. "I would like to get warm and have a look at you." In more ways than one... the perverted thought crept into her mind and she gladly accepted it for it was hard to keep thoughts out of the gutter with a man like that standing close to her.

"Would you mind escorting me?"

Escorting her somewhere wasn't the problem. The events that might occur once that had arrived was more likely to trouble him. A neatly kept eyebrow arched up in the air slightly and lingered as he observed her. Then, removing a small comm-device from his pants' pocket, he lifted it to his mouth.

"Laurent? I am south from your location. Miss Orange and I will be requiring a ride to tonight's spot. Be ready to pick us up in two."

"Right away, sir."

Grabbing her arm, as gently as he dare, he gave her a stern look and nodded toward the lit street outside the alley. They both moved forward and awaited their ride. Moments later, a jet black, closed-in speeder pulled up to the curve parallel to them and doors swung open to allow them entrance.

"Miss Orange..." He murmured, stepping down into the puddle ridden street. A sour smile that tempted patience and manners was presented before he lifted her and set her inside. Pressing in next to her, he offered her a glance.

Orange accepted his graciousness and sat inside where she felt him squeeze in next to her, again the closeness tempting her ability to control herself. she glanced at him taking in the face that she had suddenly grown to like, perhaps a bit too much for her own good. She drew in a sigh as she leaned back and looked around in the speeder wondering exactly where he'd be taking her to. This was something stupid females would do, hop into a speeder to some unknown location with a man she barely knew. But it wasn't without saying she didn't want to know him.

Orange hadn't been so infatuated with a man in many years, so long ago that her profession was actually going to remote locations with unfamiliar men. Her reputation wasn't as good as it was now and she wondered if Aiden Mirit found out about her prosituting days if she'd ever have a chance with him. She was annoyed with herself for even thinking of this man as more than a friend, after all her break up was just an hour old. But she was fond of getting over people quickly and she saw it as losing something she never truly had.

The enclosed speeder sped off with them safely encased within. It was dry, plush, and spacious for a speeder, though it could really do nothing for the soaking occupants now seated within. Aiden glanced over toward her, noting his rather close placement and scooted away slightly. It was then he realized the rudeness that might have come off of the action and he turned to apologize. The woman was, after all, only trying to help.

"You must excuse my.. behavior earlier. I had not expected you to follow after me and it was.. surprising." He murmured, stumbling over words like they were oversized logs. "And.. as for my less than amiable nature. That you'll have to excuse as well. Society, after the death of my parents, has never been my strong point." He informed her.

Orange looked at him a bit sad that he moved away from her when all she wanted was closeness. It was too early to get close to Aiden, especially when she looked at him and saw nothing but a brick wall standing in front of his emotions. She wasn't quick to judge, but she was allowing her mind to place things in front of her before he could tell her himself.

"No need to apologize, Aiden." She said as she looked away. "I am grateful for you taking me someplace warm and safe to stay. My welcome in the Lawson house has been worn out and i won't be going back for quite some time. As for your nature..." She looked back at him, water falling from the tips of her red hair, curling slightly. "I can understand. Everyone needs a little danger in their lives."

Unfortunately I cannot help but have it in mine, he thought bitterly, his gaze remaining on her face even after she looked away. A warm and safe place to stay had always been provided, even in his childhood. The enigmatic youth that would some day lead the family as an Earl. He had left the planet he was to all but govern without a second glance, leaving with it all the memories and pain of a past better forgotten than exploited. But he could not run from his title forever. This fear of his, it was meager in comparison to many other things that others had to face.

Without really judging his actions or anticipating her reaction to them, he extended a hand and lazily swiped away the slightly curled strands of hair behind her shoulder, reveling in its texture a bit more than he had intended. The girl was obviously going to be a problem for him. A big one.

"So... you've always lived on Coruscant? Doesn't seem like you'd be from around here, though I've not been around much, myself." He sighed, placing his hand on the seat just behind her head, laying his arm's length against its plushness.

Orange's heart skipped a beat and she held her breath as she felt him touch her hair and push it behind her shoulder, his fingertips sending a shiver down her spine when they barely grazed her naked shoulder. She looked at his arm then slowly up to his face that distorted into beautiful shades of colors as the craft zoomed by lights of brilliance. She wondered how his lips would taste, how it would feel to have his hands all over her...carnal thoughts that should not have even entered her mind. Days of random sexual encounters were over, no need to sink back into the past.

"I haven't been here that long, no." She drew in a sigh as she moved her eyes to the window by his head, not wanting to make him think she was continuously staring at his magnificense. "I lived on Tatooine for many years working as a head mechanic. I moved here after I met the Lawson's." She moved her green eyes back to him and grinned.

"I've always been quite of a tomboy."
