I won't pick the Bengals but I can see them winning the game. They have the power running game and precision passing game to give the Colts fits and their defense has been fairly solid and picked off a lot of passes this year.

That article shows why and how Steelers and Denver can beat them. Denver and Pittsburgh have power run games, but can go verticle to stay in the game + great defense.

This is a much bigger game for Cincy than Indy. First, it's at home. Second, it's the thrid time they've gone up against an elite AFC team. They lost their first match ups with the Steelers and Jags. Yeah, a loss to the Jags might not seem like much, but Jacksonville is 6-3 and has one of the better records in the conference.

There's no doubt the Colts have some tough games down the stretch. I think they'll lose 1 or 2 of them, but they're going to be favored from here on out. I hope they don't lose until late in the season. Each week just builds the 72 Dolphins record up that much more and draws attention to the league and the Colts.

The Bears looked really impressive today. That defense kept turning the Panthers away and I think they registered 7, maybe 8 sacks on Delhomme. Meanwhile the Steelers tied the Ravens in the 4th quarter and have the ball now with 1:50 on the clock. The Steelers are just a completely different offense without Big Ben under center. One offense that doesn't change no matter who's under center is Baltimore's. They've got a whopping 37 yards on offense in the second half. Suckage.

Great INT by Suggs to give the Ravens a chance to pull this game out. They've got good field position and just need a couple of first downs to set up a FG.

Grrr.. whats with those Bucs. Every time I pick them, they lose. Every time I do not pick them, they win. I was really concidering picking them for the win this week, then I thought to myself "well, if I pick the same as Jedieb here, at least we're gonna share the misery". Unfortunately, I was right.

If the game had been in Tampa I would have gone with my Bucs. But on the raod and in that dome I thought the Falcons would pull it out. Good road win for Tampa Bay. That division is unbelivably tight. Every team in it has a 1-1 division record. The Bucs and Panthers each have a 5-2 conference record and are tied at 7-3.

The Ravens got a few yards and a FG in OT. A ray of sunshine in an otherwise dismal season. The crowd in Cincy went nuts when they put up the score. The Colts are Bengals are lighting it up and put up 24 points in the first half. The Colts are driving to start the second quarter. This is gonna be a great game.

Manning is just playing head games with the Bengals. That's the Colts 3rd TD and they look unstoppable right now. I don't know how many big plays Chad Johnson has in him, but Cincy is going to need everything he has.

A 5-5 start. Man, is anyone doing well so far?

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, Yog used to like the Bucs. You know, I might pick the Bucs the rest of the season just to punish them. I mean, by logic, they should lose the rest of their games because I picked them. That will at least give me some sadistic satisfaction. And if by some miracle the Bucs should win, I will get some points in the pickems. Either way, I win! :D

Oh, and Manning look like superman out there. They clearly miscast next years big blockbuster. When will the Colts lose? Not this year...

The Ravens needed an inept Maddox to pull that game off. Even with just Batch the Steelers could have won that game. Less than 50 yards of offense in a half is proof that the Ravens caught a break today. So for the 3rd time all year, you got one of their games right. Congrats! ;)

Manning had his legs taken out from under him and that caused that INT. The Bengals just punched it in to get back into the game. This should be a great second half.

You put Ray Lewis and Ed Reed back in the first one, and Heath Miller wouldn't have caught two lobs in the end zone. Ravens win it 19-6.

You get Lewis and Reed, then the Steelers get Big Ben and they win 20-19, just like last time. We can play the what if game all day. Bottom line, they split the season series again, but one team is going to the playoffs and the other will be waiting to see who loses their job first, their coach or their QB. I think the Steelers enjoy their situation a lot more.

I'm not sure if Manning called all those running plays because the Bengals were dropping people back, or he wanted to grind out a drive and take some time off the clock. Either way, that was damn impressive. They ran the ball down their throats. This offense isn't putting up the same kind of numbers it did last year, but it's still scary. In some ways, it's better than last year's because they're running better than they ever have. Here comes Cincy again, only down 8.

The streak stays alive for plummer who has now extended it to 219 consecutive pass attempts without an int, it has been more than 2 months now since plummer threw a pick with 8 straight games without one. No Tds but thats because Anderson grabbed all 3 of them. That Broncos game was a really good team against a really bad team and it showed. Denver manhandled the Jets in every way you can, denver's first shutout in 8 years. 5 forced turnovers by their Defense, more power running and a mistake free plummer yet again.


I was thinking that Bengals team was going to win too, we saw Indy can still slug it out if they need too. Big question mark of the game, that defense that was supposed to be so much better, the bengals pretty much overpowered them all day. Had the Benglas been able to show a little defense themselves they might have won. Putting up 37 points though says that indy defense is a little overrated but who cares when you got an offense that can bail you out like that.

Big wins by da bears, giants, seahawks and the bucs. Its going to be an interesting december in the NFC. The AFC is all but decided. Indy #1, Denver #2, Cincy/Pitts #3 and #6, New England #4, Jacksonville #5. With the Chargers as a possible spoiler and a last playoff spot stealer. Jax should be able to slide ahead of the non division winner of the NFC North because of their easy schedule.

The Jags have one of the easiest stretch runs I've ever seen ahead of them.

at Arizona - 3
at Cleveland - 4
Indianapolis -10
San Francisco - 2
at Houston -2
Tenn. -2

That's the number of wins their opponents have. Combined, those 5 losers only have 3 more wins than the Colts. The Jags can easily finish 5-1 or 4-2 which would give them 12 or 11 wins. That means that with well over a month to play the AFC may only have 1 WC and 1 division up for grabs. The one division has Pittsburgh and Cincy battling it out. Last week, I thought there was no way the Chargers could catch either of them. But with both of them losing today and the Chargers dominant win they're only 1 game behind. The Chargers are back in the hunt.

If the Chargers get in, it will be either pittsburg or cincinatti that get eliminated. If they can keep a lot of pressure on Denver they might even have a shot at the devision if denver struggles as these two teams square off for the last game of the season.

San Diego's Final Schedule
At Washington, the Redskins aren't nearly as good as everyone thought they were a month ago and they could be in trouble as a loss to the chargers here would probably make them miss the playoffs. This is a game that the chargers can and should win.

Home for Oakland. This is almost an easy game except its against a division rival and those games can be dicey sometimes.

Home for Miami. Nothing more than a trap game.

At Indy. The only benifit is this game is coming in week 15 and the Colts could have almost everything wrapped up at this point and be resting their starters down the finish. This is a wait and see game, because if Indy comes in full strength the Chargers are not getting away easily.

At Kansas City. Another Division game and on the road. The Cheifs are inconsitent and leaky but they still play well in Arrowhead.

Home for Denver. This is another wait and see game, if Denver has wrapped up the #2 seed they may very well just rest their starters and San Diego could get away with an easy win.

So its not far fetched to see SD go 4-2 maybe 5-1 and get 10 or 11 victories.


Denvers Final Schedule
At Dallas. This is probably the hardest game they have left. Its on a short week against a good team on the road. If they can go into Dallas and get a victory I can't see them losing the division or finishing worse that #2 in the AFC. They match well against Dallas though, their running game should pound it out and they got a very oppurtunistic defense and Drew Bledsoe is bound to make a mistake or three.

At Kansas City. They are a far superior team to the cheifs but this game is in Arrowhead and the Cheifs almost all but own the Broncos at home, much like Denver owns them at Milehigh. I wouldn't be surprised to see the cheifs win here but hopefully the better team will win on this day.

Home for Baltimore. Deffinitly a trap game, the ravens are bad bad bad but they managed a win against the banged up steelers and they might just be playing for a little pride. But it is in Denver and if nothing else Denver is a great home team.

At Buffalo. Another trap game, if you look pass the bills you can very well come away with a loss.

Home for Oakland. there easiest game left. Its at home and its against oakland the team Mike Shanahan takes pride in ebating every year and hates with a passion (he is 16-5 against the raiders in the last 11 years). This is a team they own and Shanahan will keep it from being a trap game.

At San Diego
Like I said a wait and see game. If denver has nothing to play for they will rest their starters and SD will likely win. They can beat the chargers though if everything is on the line and its Marty Ball no coach has ever been better at pissing away must win games and playoff games. If your the opposing team and need a big win there is nothing better then seeing Marty on the oppossing sidelines.

So Denver could easily go 4-2 or 6-0 for that matter. The Dallas game is really the only tough game if they can get past their stupidiites in Arrowhead.

I had a dismal early afternoon, but was perfect for the late games and the sunday nighter, as I imagine most, of not everyone was. There weren't any upsets there at all.

I still don't think the Colts will go undefeated. Once they've wrapped up the conference they'll rest their starters and the rest of the team will take a week off.

Both Denver and San Diego have tough remaining schedules, out of those 12 games the only gimme game I see is the Chargers against the Dolphins. Denvers last 6 are all teams that can beat them, even the Raiders, Bills & Ravens. While not overall great teams they can put together enough to beat just about anyone if they have a good day and Denver falters a bit.

While its unlikely and I agree with at least 4-2 for Denver in that stretch, the key could be that last game between the two. All San Diego has to do is make up 1 game and that final game could be huge.

I saw that score this morning. That has to be one of the most lopsided scores ever. You nearly hit the 200 mark, unreal. Congrats Ryan. Meanwhile, I had Kurt Warner sitting on the bench and lighting it up. I also had another receiver come up big for my bench. Ughh.

Tampa, Tampa, Tampa, what am I going to do with you? Do I start to believe again? Two straight games the offense has scored over 30 pts, but the defense is nowhere to be found. That's not entirely true. Yesterday the defense got some big plays and even scored, but they've been getting pushed around. The Bears are coming to Raymond James next week. If this game were in Chicago it would be a no-brainer. But at home the Bucs should be able to stand toe to toe with Chicago and slug it out. Chicago earned a lot of respect by manhandling the Panthers this weekend. But that beat down still only resulted in a 10 point win and 13 points. This SHOULD be a defensive struggle. I can't see either QB lighting up each other's defense. But then again, Tampa and Washington was suppose to be a defensive battle and look what happened there. I think I'm proprably going to pull a Homer and root for my Bucs. I abandoned them this week and it cost me a game. I'm coming home boys!

Holy crap, did the Colts win or lose that game yesterday? I'm actually starting to think the Colts would have gotten more props yesterday if they'd lost a close defensive game than won that shootout. To many sports writers and commentators, the Indy defense sucks and the Bears are the best team in football. Yeah, I'm exaggerating, but one game doesn't mean that Indy's defense has regressed to one of the worst in the league and the Bears still have a lot to prove.

Could last night's game have been any more boring? Ughh, I couldn't even stay awake through most of it. Tonight's game looked great on paper before the season started but now it's a cellar dwellar face off. But if you love Madden verbally caressing Favre, tonight's the night for you!!

I just feel bad for Carr. The mere fact that he's still standing shows that he has talent. That team's early history is as bad as the orange clad Bucs of the 70's and early 80's.

KC is now even with the Chargers at 6-4. These two are hoping that the Broncos come back to the pack. I don't think either one of them will catch Denver.

The only hope for KC or San Diego is Pittsburg falling apart, which could happen, they have 3 loses, if Ben doesn't play against Indy they will lose their 4th and could lose a fifth to Cincinatti. They both have a chance. I am hoping KC just finishes 10-6 that at least shows the team is improving.
About last nights game, the best thing about it was Johnson man he had a heck of game, set the Chiefs rushing record. That was a brilliant pick now on the Chiefs part a few years ago. The game was awful overall. The Texans are just terrible. Carr needs weapons they need that #1 pick so they can select Bush, he would really help that team.

Carolina dropped all the way to the bottom of the division winners with that lost to Da Bears. The Giants and Bucs stayed put and Chicago jumps up to the coveted 2nd bye week slot. The only change in the AFC is that the Jags and Bengals switch places. Here are the teams on the playoff bubble.

The Falcons seem to be the only one of the bunch that has a chance of getting one of those slots. Washington looked like crap against Oakland yesterday. They were in great shape but after these last 2 weeks they've been exposed as pretenders IMO. I can't see the Lions or Vikings catching the Bears. There's no way the Rams are gonig to catch the Seahawks. The Eagles are done, done, and DONE. So that really leaves Atlanta, Tampa, Giants, Dallas, and now Carolina battlings for 4 spots. Unless some teams start collapsing there's not going to be much drama in that last week.

I think there's a lot that can happen here. Both of these teams are just 1 game behind the Jags, Steelers, and Cincinnati. The Pats don't figure in any of this because their division is a joke and I think they're destined to be the #4, possibly #3 slot. I think the AFC is going to be a lot of fun down the stretch. Especially if Denver comes back to the pack a little bit.

I really hope there aren't any Favre apologists out there this morning blaming his receivers for the loss. Favre simply made bad decisions and even poorer throws.

How about the Vikings? 3 straight wins since the fallout from the Love Boat scandal and Culpepper went down. They were completely written off and left for dead, now they're only 2 games out of the division lead and the WC in the NFC.

I'm sure most analysts won't agree as their lips wills till be firmly planted on his backside but they need to find out what they have in Rodgers. They have a legit shot at a top 3 pick which could be Leinart or possibly Bush but they own't know what they need until they see what Rodgers can do.

I think after what Bush did this weekend they HAVE to go with him in the draft - if they can get the #1 pick. The Texans are down there too, as are the Jets and Niners and Saints. I think all are 1-9 or 2-8. Quarterbacks can be found later on in the draft if Rodgers isn't the right guy, but Bush looks more and more like a once in a lifetime shot.

Houston has the lead in the draft race, but they've got a fairly easy schedule from here on out and their owner is getting anxious. I think they really need that #1 pick. Getting Reggie Bush may finally give Carr some balance and might finally make the Texans legit.

That team won't be legit until they get some people that can block for Carr/Bush. As good as Bush is he can't outrun everyone on every play.
