Ok, two new characters who are probably joining the Rebellion - Arsalis Kyrr and Xoriix Dvron. There is an unfinished thread which could, though it isn't very likely, deter their membership in the Rebellion, but I figured I'd go ahead and post this to see what everyone thought. You'll excuse the fact that some of their abilities aren't native to Star Wars, but I wanted someone who was different from the mainstream. I'm sure you understand. Also, read the whole story before you come up with an answer! Anyway, background for Arsalis and Xoriix:

(Sorry this is so long. It's hard to put it all here shortly.)

--------------------

Xoriix and Arsalis grew up together on Corellia and were best friends in childhood. They lived in the same neighborhood, went to the same school, and even went to college together to study Alchemy. Once there, Arsalis studied alchemy of life and healing, while Xoriix studied combat alchemy. Arsalis became very peaceful and docile, shunning violence and evil. On the other hand, Xoriix became enticed by the power available through combat alchemy.

One day, Xoriix decided that, according to the Law of Equivalent Exchange, he must make others around him suffer in order to increase his power. He attacked the students of the school, but was confronted by Arsalis. Arsalis was unable to defeat him, so he used alchemy to trap Xoriix inside him. Unfortunately, they now have a sort of multiple personality disorder - the two personas share the same body, and so alternate dominance of the body. When one takes over, the body morphs to the shape that that person's body originally had. Right now the switching is somewhat random, but they will eventually learn to control it.

In the process of their bodies combining, they lost some of their abilities in alchemy because of the change in the molecular composition of their bodies. However, since there are now two alchemists sharing the same body, their potential has risen, and both are able to access a limited amount of the ability of the other - Arsalis is able to perform combat alchemy, but Xoriix is much better at it, and vice-versa with life alchemy.

Because of the extreme variation in their personalities, very few groups will accept them as members - and those that will, Arsalis has no intention of joining. The Rebellian, however, is able to meet the desires of both of them - Arsalis is able to help rid the galaxy of evil, while Xoriix is able to "increase his power." It is this compromise that will eventually enable them to contol the switching.

As Arsalis is the one who actually performed the alchemy that combined them, he is the main persona, and is most often seen. Xoriix usually comes out in times when Arsalis feels very angry or is in great danger. The dormant persona is also able to communicate with the active persona, and Arsalis is able to keep some restraint on Xoriix's killing, so that Xoriix is unable to attack a teammate, though he may still threaten them from time to time. Just know he can't follow through with the threats unless Arsalis lets him, which only happens when a teammate is endangering a mission.

In the Alliance, Arsalis and Xoriix would be a sort of special ops person, as alchemy offers a variety of skills to its users. Their jobs may be related to the Imperial Inquisitoriate or the Navy Seals, but bear in mind that alchemy is not as powerful as the Force, it simply offers limitless weaponry.

The bios are essentially the same for the two, with only slight modifications. Their alchemy is based off of the Anime Fullmetal Alchemist.

Thanks for your consideration!

Arsalis and Xoriix would most likely be involved in special ops, I would say. Their unique abilities make them pretty well suited to that sort of thing.

Sounds good, If you have an RP in mind, let me know and I'll help you with it. If you like, you can make a training one where you take a team out and make invade an objective and take it, just so we know what you can do.

I think my first thread will be IC recruitment... I'll pop you a PM when I'm ready for it. Probably monday or tuesday, but maybe a bit sooner... who knows. I want to let another thread Arsalis is involved in wind down a bit first. As for the training thread, what would I be invading? A dummy imp base, or something like that?

Sure or just pick something, it doesn't really matter. do something you would enjoy to invade. It just to see how you type and all that, just so I can feel how you play and act and get a feel for your character. Have fun with it.

Arsalis, I promise to post tomorrow as early as I possibly can. Your idea looks wondeful. Welcome to the Alliance. :D

What would you like to have as your custom title? I suggest following the format that I have under my name, with a quote of your choosing at the bottom. You might want to wait until we hammer out all of the details of your character, but if you have any requests, just let me know.

Sorry to intrude on your thread with this tangent, something just clicked in my head.

*Points to Gran Davrak*

Oh, well. At least I don't have to steal your wrench again...

*Pulls the Golden Wrench of Power out of his pocket*

Just don't make me use it.:D

I used to. I played with a full Deathwing Detachment, utilizing several Landraiders and Landraider Crusaders to deploy my Terminators, with the Dreadnoughts providing covering fire. It was a very fun army to play, but it was rather hit-or-miss: If I could get my Termies into contact with the enemy by the third turn, I could usually smash the enemy with little difficulty; that said, I deployed with only a few models at first (the tanks), and if one of them ended up immobilized early, it got very messy.

I'll get on those Custom CTs right away. :)
